Aaw thanks girls for the lovely congrats . Been feeling like shite all day though due to tiredness and hangover, so TOMORROW will be the day when I get it together to catch up and post properly!

I managed to forget my camera so don't have any decent pics yet, I took a few at the house before and after but they are a bit rubbish. I'm hoping some guests will email me some better ones so will post at some point I promise!

Basically the wedding story is that we decided about 3.5 weeks ago to just go ahead and do it with as little fuss as possible. We've both been married before so been there done that with big weddings and I didn't want all the fuss and expense (and hard work ) again. So it was just a small party, 9 of us, registry office and restaurant after. Emma was very good apart from not wanting to sit with grandma during the ceremony, she kept pushing between us and trying to get our attention, bless. Anyway will post more tomorrow, off to have a lie down now!! Love to all xx

jacobandlysetteandabump · 28/11/2007 15:40

aaah bloss i know exactly how you feel with the food thing! jacob is going through a phase of nothing home made, but wolfs down plum baby stage 2 stuff.... although if you can manage to get a bit of food on his lips for him to taste he'll generally open up after.

we are also waking at around 4am, but then this is better than 230 or 3 so I'm relishing it. i am giving milk but he is piling o nthe weight so i think it's growing, as well as teeth - we have snotty nose and funny poos as well here. o'h and lumps i nthe gums so i'm not imagining it! hell, he's got to get the rest of them through somehow - he's only got 6 still!!!

HumphreysCorner · 28/11/2007 19:44

Aw First-am so happy for you. Congratulations and wish you many, many wonderful years together.

Will catch up later.

well this morning he woke at 3am for a scream, had some teething gel and then went back to sleep till 6.30am so that was great! It's different every day!

I have just eaten a bowl the size of a small horse of Spag bol. I may pop. Tune in tomorrow to find out...

Congratulations First (& Mr @Forty), wonderful news.

Sorry you're having early wakings again Bloss, hope it sorts itself out soon. Dom has miraculously started sleeping through in the last week (well, was awake for milk at 5.30 this morning, but that's as good as) for no apparent reason. Last night I put him to bed at 7pm as normal and he sang and chatted to himself for AN HOUR before dropping off .

Permit me a little snigger at DH (who has man-flu and is currently in bed). I was working today and had to be out of the house early as had to get to a training course in Bath. I was planning to get a taxi and drop Dom off at the cm on the way to the station. But as DH was around he offered to do it - great, I thought. Anyway, at 7.55 both DH & DS are still eating breakfast (he'd planned to leave at 8am). I did warn him that he'd need to get there at 8.30 as at the latest as cm does schoolrun, but he brushed it off. My taxi turned up and off I went. At 8.35 I receive a call from a sheepish DH saying 'they've gone'. Luckily cm realised something had gone awry and popped round to our house on the way back from school where a relieved DH handed the boy over. That'll teach him for telling me not to stress over getting out in the morning

Twinklemegan · 28/11/2007 23:19

Wow First - congratulations!!! Hope you're feeling better now.

I must just share this about Aidan. DH went into a local hardware store and there were two girls behind the counter, neither of whom he had ever seen before. One of them said, looking at Aidan, "I recognise you - you're the one who says "Hiya" in Tesco!" OMG!! We've only lived here for 7 weeks and already Aidan's got a reputation!

TheGoddessBlossom · 29/11/2007 16:07

HAR hAR is my response to both Maewest's and Twink's posts How funny!

Hope you can open link below, it's the photos I had done of the boys, well copies taken with my phone camera so not very good quality and classily the litchen light reflected in the background but I hope you can see them.

Bloss-they are really good photos. Bet you are so, so proud.

Well, Sophie pooed in the bath again!!! Seems to be a regular thing.

Did I mention that I got measured somewhere else for a bra? The shop slated M&S's measuring techniques and got me to be a 30 or 32 D or DD. Bit different to a 34 AA. Have managed to fit in some 32 D's-there was no way I could get in an AA.

Sophie a tad poorly and is shivering big time.

Better go and get some tea on.

Bloss - what gorgeous gorgeous pics, love the one of them holding hands, and the one with their heads together. They look so happy! Great that nursery?s going better, really good that you can spend time there as well - you can get to know the staff and the routines so it?s easier to discuss any issues. And congrats on your anniversary!!

Mae - yes smirking on your behalf re DH!! Morning organisation was deffo the most difficult bit about going back to work. Good sign if Dom is amusing himself in the cot I reckon, hope the sleeping continues to improve

Lysette - Emma?s doing that too with the food - she will eat Hipp jars / Weetabix very happily, but eyes anything I produce with deep suspicion, and only eats it about 1/3 of the time? grrrrrrrr

Annie - glad you had a good holiday, and congrats on being an auntie (I may have said that before, but I?ll say it again ) Hope your Dad?s much better now. Lol re Joey?s indignance at being called JeJe

HC at the doggie. Ours will be 17 next year, she?s not doing badly bless her but is completely deaf and a pretty arthritic. Well done on the weight loss, glad to see you haven?t given up Blossom Hill on your diet, that would be a step too far definitely!

Wallace and Twinkle - how fab that you met up, so lovely to see the pics of your two gorgeous boys It is funny how they are all so different isn?t it? Emma?s got a little mate who?s 2 weeks younger but who was running around at 10 months - a whole 6 months earlier than her

Twinkle - Aidan?s fame is spreading then! I haven?t been to any toddler groups but may start going soon, I?m a bit scared though, so do commiserate with your DH!! Am thinking of cutting down Emma?s nursery hours as I?m not working yet (she?s doing 2 days at the mo) in which case we?ll need to find some ?activities?.

Impy - hugs re the work dilemmas, it?s so difficult isn?t it? Hope you can find a solution which works okay for you.

Hi Sleep great to hear from you, and glad Sefton?s doing so well.

Agalch - hope you can reschedule hosp appt soon, sounds like it would be good to get things sorted soon if you can. Hope Eilidh?s okay after the pox xxx

Prettymum at Junior and his climbing - makes me realise I?ve been lucky so far with the relatively sedentary Emma. Lol at shouting in his ?own language? - Emma does do that !!

Ceebee - good on Josh and his 3 course meal Know what you mean about it being a bit sad when they can feed themselves, DP sits there looking a bit forlorn at tea-time as it?s his job to feed her while I cook for us, but she can mostly do it herself now (still lots of clearing up to do though ). 70 lengths - bloody amazing, well done!! Those mini aqua draws look great, will have to get some.

Spin - hope things are going well, you must have an absolute TON of stuff to be sorting out. Sending loads of good moving and unpacking vibes!!

We?re fine here, hangover improved you?ll be pleased to hear. I?ve been getting stuck into a web design course today as Emma?s at nursery, been wanting to do one for ages, so have bought an online one with accompanying CD roms. Feel like I need to get a new pencil case or something now that I?m a student (or should that be a load of Thunderbird and Pot Noodle )

Well better stop this monster post - it?s getting out of control!! Night for now xxx

ImpyChica · 29/11/2007 20:06

CONGRATS Mrs First!!! How lovely! (and thanks for the hugs re. the work dilemma - you are v sweet. I've no news yet on whether I'm moving, so we'll see...) Good luck with the web design course - I'm kinda self-taught in that field too...

Glad you had fun Annie. Your SIL sounds v impressive! I don't know how people manage with twins! Hope your dad's ok and Kayley's sleeping gets better.

Hi Pretty. Will have to hook up on FB to check out Junior's afro! My N Irish mate here is married to a Pakistani - and they shaved their daughter Aisha's head when she was born too. She's only one and already has quite long hair, bless!

Sweet pix Bloss. Your mobile phone camera has given them quite a retro Seventies feel - I loves it!

Ha ha at Aidan's reputation, Twinkle - v funny!

OK a quick TMI question..... is three poos a day too many for a lickle man? Seems like too many to me..... He used to just do one then had a stomach upset and it's not really settled down since then. Usually one of them is a little nasty too.... I might try and cut out the gluten (I'm celiac) - but it'll be kinda difficult since he's always grabbing food from other people....

Got my gorgeous MacBook back yesterday - but they had to replace the hard disk - meaning I'd lost all my photos..... 1,000s of them... I'd backed up quite a few but there are still loads that are lost forever. There's a lesson in there, for sure! On the plus side, the nice lady who repaired it put loads of software on the mac for free - including Photoshop - so v pleased about that!

Dps in London for three weeks so it's single mum life again... He's back this weekend for a visit and then.... drum roll... in-laws are coming over to look after Ryan and I'm heading to London for a dirty weekend with DP!!! Hoorah! V excited.

Well that's enough babble. (Talking of which, Ryan now says "bye-bye" and waves when I put him to bed - v sweet!) Hugs to all, Impy xxx

HumphreysCorner · 29/11/2007 20:31

Impy-Sophie poos at least twice a day and sometimes a lot more. No wonder she never puts weight on and stays 21 lbs. So sorry to hear about your photos-I have lost things before and my mum lost her photos (not backed up).

Hope your job turns out OK.

TheGoddessBlossom · 29/11/2007 21:29

If Toby doesn't poo 4 times a day at leastit's a minor miracle. Fact. His particular speciality is to wait until I have (unecessatily) changed a nappy because it's been on for four hours and then immediately do a poo. He then tells me. "poo poo" and laughs and legs it. Monkey.

Just been to hospital to see my friend's new baby girl, her third child after two boys. She was absolutely gorgeous, and I am not remotely broody. Thank god.

Thanks so much for comments about my boys, I am inordinately proud of my two bruisers!

First, thunderbird and pot noodle all the way! Good luck with your course, impressive post! Must try harder....

Moustache (geddit?) got moules mariniere to eat (yum). Where's Spin? Lost lap top in a packing case?

Hello all.

Gosh it's time for Xmas names... I'm still in my Halloween one.

Day off yesterday was just a CLINGY day, Kayley woke up with a fever, puking up her milk and had no energy all day, she just wanted to stick onto me. She had odd moments of just laying on the couch, but soon she'd raise the arms again. So all day I was attached to her. She's much better today though, TG. No idea what it was. She actually managed to spew right into my 'cleavage', and miss everything else, even herself! Caught it nicely in my top!!
Joey spent the entire day playing with his Roary the Racing Car cars.
I've put some pics of our hols on Facebook if anyone wants a peek.

The appointment on Wednesday went fine (God it's hot in those doctor's rooms), they took photos of her eczema and she'll be assessed every four weeks, while we are on this soft water trial.

Bloss, gorgeous pics!! You are quite right to be inordinately proud of them. Happy Anniversary btw

Impy at losing your photos. How disappointing. RIght I'm off to buy an external hard drive now. Dirty weekend in London eh??? When's that then? Where're you staying?

First, hope you are enjoying married life. It's not much different really is it?! But always that nice secure feeling... Good luck with the course.
Me dad's home anyway, so all is well I think. Me ma is still having trouble with her eyes though, but she's managing.

HC, I mean Frosty, at the M&S Bra thing. What numptys. No offence but you are quite obviously not a AA! As in, you have a lovely bosom for a lickle size 10.

Twinkle, LOL at Aiden, 'hiya'!! How sweet!!

And Mae, LOL at your DH too!! Hee hee.

Well I better go and do something I guess.

Oh, you ladies will be proud of me, I haven't had any booze for a week!! Since last Thursday. Had one glass of wine last night, and will probably finish the bottle tonight. Didn't mention it in case I didn't do it (as per usual!)
Haven't been swimming in ages though. Naughty.

RIght I'm off.

AnnieOneDrinkingSnowballs · 30/11/2007 13:52

Ho Ho Ho

FrostyTheSnowman · 30/11/2007 14:12

Meant to say I have had to put Sophie in size 4+ nappies as she wees so much they are literally overflowing. My SIL said that although Sophie's size and weight means that size 4 are fine, her bladder is ready for bigger sizes. Darn-less nappies per bag with bigger sizes!

Day off Annie???? Shame Kayley was not 100% Pleased your dad is home. Will look at your pics later when I get back on Facebook. BTW, you can send my dinosaur back if you like as I notice your zoo has posh animals. My zoo is expanding far too fast-gained a bear and a cow yesterday. I need more room.

Better go as Sophie not well and is refusing medecine-think I will have to put it in her juice.

Have been to the Drs this morning as I have Rosacea (sp) again-this means I have to take antibiotics for 2 months. I got this when Emma was 17 months old so find it strange that it has reappeared now Sophie is 17 months old.

MaeWest · 30/11/2007 15:40

Dom's been in 4+ nappies for ages as I couldn't tell the difference between 4 and 4+ , thanks for enlightening me HC. Although he is in cloth about 50% of the time [polishes handmade hessian earth mother halo]

Bloss - Dom also craps for England, at least after every meal and often throws in a few extra. I put it down to the huge quantities of food he consumes. He likes to poo in a clean nappy too, how do they KNOW!

Annie - didn't welcome you back properly from your hols, well done on the booze. We have been plague house recently so haven't felt like drinking but DH is off out tomorrow so fancy something festive like mulled wine....

jacobandlysetteandabump · 30/11/2007 17:00

well done annie!

frosty - AA..... i think you have to get measured every time you go to buy them in a different shop though

jacob poos generally twice a day - regular as clockwork - once about 5 mins after getting up and then again mid/late afternoon. although yesterday it was 5 times, and it's been a bit up and down recently. but.......we have another tooth through!! that's 7 in total now, and still more lumps showing so hopefully we'll get some more through.

bloss - gorge boys! and lovely photos.

got jacob weighed yesterday - 25lb on the nose - and he'd done 4 poos before we got there! so he's well over average compared to non prem babies now so very very proud of him!

and the little monkey ate nearly a whole portion of COOK! lasagne last night, although he screamed the house down with the babysitter - she had to put him in the buggy to get him to sleep in the end. and she looks after him every week for one afternoon so it wasn't even like it was someone new! maybe the tooth was coming through then. on the plus side he has slept through the last 3 nights, so I'm sure as it's the weekend now it won't last...

DH's birthday tomorrow - think we are going out for lunch and then on sunday we are having some friends over for a bbq / casual lunch in the afternoon.

sorry to everyone i haven't replied to and hiya all

xxx

ps wallace re M&T groups - they are notoriously cliquey. at ours there is what we refer to as "the coven" as there are about 5 of them who have been going for ages and don't talk to anyone else really - especially if you are a nanny pretty rotten really, and one of the nannies nearly stopped going she felt so dreadful.

AnnieOneDrinkingSnowballs · 30/11/2007 17:08

LOL Frosty at 'posh animals'!! Joey was doing it with me so I had to put them all in water...
I love the dinosaur, can I keep him, oh pweeeeeese??? I'll send you something else instead.
I always have Thursday off!

Right, off home to that wine. I've missed the deadline for a pint in the pub now, won't make it before 6 now. Kicking out at 7 with kids so not enough time (and dinner/baths etc)

Have a lovely weekend everyone

prettymum · 30/11/2007 17:13

hey ladies,

quick one as i need to feed my two little monsters who are creating so much mess!!

junior does one poo a day now, around half an hour after he wakes up and dd is always there to remind me that he has a smelly napy and i need to change it!

he also has nearly all his teeth!! his back few have pushed out.

just thought id let let you ladies know that asda are selling the 1litre baileys for £8, great price to stock up for christmas, offer finishes sunday i think!!

juniors just hurt himself better get off!

ceebee74 · 30/11/2007 19:40

Annie ? glad you had a good holiday ? will look at the photos in a bit. And ? WOW, no booze for a week?? Just like being pg again eh? Glad Kayley is better again.

Bloss ? what gorgeous gorgeous photos ? no wonder you are so very proud of the little treasures . Glad nursery is going ok aswell ? must be a relief. When is the big day?

Twinkle ? bless Aidan ? what a cutie he is. And at least it is a good reputation he has and not a bad one eh?

Impy ? wow, a dirty weekend. What?s one of them then? I seem to have forgotten .

Josh?s poos are always as regular as clockwork ? one just after he has had his milk in the morning and then one after lunch. He has been like that for as long as I can remember that it is always a shock if another one appears at another time

Josh has got a cough again resulting in more puking AGAIN ? I have done a quick calculation and reckon that he has puked at least 100 times in his lifetime ? am really hoping for a non-puker next time round!

Bought Josh some Christmas babygros from Mothercare and put one on him tonight for the start of Advent tomorrow ? he looked very festive!

Not much else to report really ? is it just me or once they are walking, is there no other milestones?

My brother?s baby was due yesterday but no news yet? I can?t wait as he lives in Edinburgh and we are obviously going to go and visit as soon as the baby is born and I am looking forward to a couple of days in Edinburgh (and to see the baby obviously)!

TheGoddessBlossom · 01/12/2007 08:00

I am dead on my feet. Toby is waking at 4.50am pretty much every morning, necking a bottle, then I put him back down, and sneak back to bed, and pray that he goes back to sleep. And he tricks me into thinking he has then 20 minutes later just as I am dropping off again he starts shouting, "NOOOOO!" and banging and thatgoeson for the next hour and a bit till he wakes H up. It's like Chinese Water Torture.

DH sleeps throught the whole lot. And no word of sympathy "Yes you must be tired darling", "Why don't you slip off back to bed now I'm up at last?" Instead I get, "oh for gods sake get on with it, you've got a face like a slapped arse, it's not very nice to come downstairs to that you know. " makes me want to scream, and I am so tired.

First day at work is Monday. Looking forward to it but worried about Toby at nursery. Hope I'm doing the right thing.

Supposed to be going out next Saturday night, and staying at friend's after, but I really don't think I can leave the boys with my parents and expect them to get up so early. Plus I can't be this tired and hungover, I'll keel over or something. I think I'll drive which is a shame as it is an annual get together with all my old girlfriends and all their partners.

Right better get on with Saturday. At least the sun has come up. Have great weekends all.

Morning all

Bloss,i don't know how you do it. Eilidh is awake 4/5 times in the night needing a bf or just a cuddle but she in in with me so don't have to get up as such but getting up like you have to would kill me,so for you. Does your Dh not at least do 1 weekend morning for you?

First big Congrats on getting hitched. It seems silly but DH and i do feel very different now that we are married. We were always very happy together but being married gives it an extra something iyswim?

Eilidh over the pox thank god but due her jab on Monday so no doubt another bout of being unwell/whinging on the way.

Had my ultrasound and i have an average normal womb so i am going to the GP next week hopefully and going on the cezerette(sp) pill to stop my periods (hopefully) altogether.

I am getting a bit nervous about the meet up now,it's not that far away eek!! Am starting to wonder if i have bought the right dress/whether to have a spray tan done/have hair put up etc etc.
Will have to take it easy with the booze too. I have asked my mum to look after the dc on the Sunday afternoon so DH and i can go xmas shopping. But we are not really shopping,i am booking us a hotel room for a few hours so we can have lunch/use the leisure facilities and have some "fun" .
I asked him what he wanted for xmas and he did say he wanted time with me so i reckon he will like it hey? Will be mortified checking out and leaving early mind you,but will be nice so worth the red face

So i now need to do rest of shopping before the Sunday lol.

Have a good weekend all xx

chuffed to bits you had time to look at them Spin! Cor you've got lots on your plate, Happy Birthday to Chili for tomorrow (today? )

Thanks for sympathy Algach! Yes, Dh does NORMALLY do Saturday morning for me, didn't today because he was out on the lash last night. I am reasonably hopeful of a lie in tomorrow morning. You and your DH are just so romantic, what a lovely thing of him to say he wants time with you for Christmas (melting heart emoticon).

Toby is refusing to go to bed at the moment most nights - I go back in two or three times but after that he gets left to cry. What's the goddamn issue with being in bed all of a sudden! It's where I'd like to be MOST of the time!!

Right, wine to drink, ZZZs to push.
