New thread!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Good point cav- is he Alex? Is he? Can he possibly get me a deal if I was to choose to go there too? Hypothetically speaking of course!!
Regarding the shag (I refuse to give in to the adult cuddle thing) I would not worry!

Cavort · 11/05/2014 20:14

I would just like to clarify that I don't actually call a shag an 'adult cuddle.' Any euphemistic use of it or anything similar on here by me is only for comic effect or lack if it Grin

Alexandra6 · 11/05/2014 21:55

Don't lie cav, you know your best chat up line is "come here Mr Cav, I'm in the mood for an adult cuddle" Grin

No he isn't a travel agent sorry so isn't able to sort out deals for people like that boo, was just an offer that came up. I can really recommend the Maldives as well, absolutely love it there, we would have gone there again but we thought Mauritius might be better for a baby with the time difference and time of year, it will be nice to try somewhere new and DH really fancied Mauritius.

Cavort · 11/05/2014 22:09

Damn! Rumbled!! Grin Then I find myself wondering how I ended up marrying an IT geek? It's clearly the fault of my chat up lines Grin

Frogcatcher · 12/05/2014 21:25

Well you can take your exotic Mauritius as Majorca is going down just fine here! Only 2 hour flight from our regional airport & then an hour taxi to a cute little town in the north of the island. J has been very chilled out & DP & I are getting on too. He's been spending a lot more time with him too. All good in frogland at the mo.

Didn't manage to get any more pills so will just play it by ear & see whether it becomes an issue. Last night too many holiday sized G&Ts meant that DP was out snoring anyway!

Tallyra · 17/05/2014 08:31

is everyone here still alive? or just all on fb?

PoppySeedBun · 17/05/2014 11:28

Still here - but spending more time on FB
How are things going with you?
Little E generally being good, though she did decide to feed 6 times between 2am and 7am, leaving me a bit Confused
Thank goodness for DH taking her after that and allowing me a nap.
Going to have my first go at expressing today, and see if I can persuade her to take an evening bottle from DH. Fx

Tallyra · 17/05/2014 20:05

nightmare today. last night she wouldn't be put down so I'm knackered and today she is screaming every time dh tries to hold her so I end up feeding her happy every time. given up now and she's sleeping on me now so that means another crappy night. and we haven't had dinner yet and dh is just sitting next to me watching tv despite me regularly mentioning food or going to bed hungry. Angry

Tallyra · 17/05/2014 20:06

how did expressing go? don't worry if it's slow for the first few tries.

PoppySeedBun · 18/05/2014 05:49

Ha - never got to expressing. She fed on average every hour yesterday, so despite crap sleep the previous night, I couldn't get a nap in, and was nearly delirious with tiredness by end of day. So decided to leave it until I'm feeling more relaxed! Fortunately, she has slept better overnight, so hoping I'm less of a zombie today.

Tallyra · 18/05/2014 08:12

that's good. Sleep is so nice!!
I actually got Immi to sleep in her basket for the majority of the night last night which is amazing.

PoppySeedBun · 18/05/2014 19:41

Ok, expressing went quite well - 100ml from one side. Now just need to see if she will drink any of it...
Any thoughts on bottles/teats for mixing with breastfeeding? Going to start with the Medela Calma one that came with the pump, but also have Tommee Tippee to try if that doesn't seem to work well.

Tallyra · 19/05/2014 16:13

We have an Avent pump with teat and tomee tippee ones given to us. The Avent is ok with newborn teats, the tt ones seem to be v fast flow even with smallest hole so not good to start as she will get lazy on the boob ( at least I found that)

Tallyra · 26/05/2014 21:19

Hmm. Facebook seems to have killed this thread.

Tallyra · 26/05/2014 21:20

Or the app problem has!

Tallyra · 26/05/2014 21:20

Or the app problem has!

Cavort · 28/05/2014 15:49

App problem for me Sad Trying to stay awake during the night feed is killing me without MN. I nearly caved and downloaded the Netmums App instead but just about managed to resist. Are you watching MN, GET IT SORTED!!!

Cavort · 29/05/2014 23:07

Clearly they listened 'cos we're back in business on the App Grin

Tallyra · 30/05/2014 16:43

Finally!!

MotherOfCleo · 30/05/2014 23:21

Marking place as I lost you all

MotherOfCleo · 31/05/2014 07:52

Yay, app is fixed......FINALLY. Grin I'm back Wink

BlearyeyedLol · 02/06/2014 23:24

I'd lost you all too. Still here. L is as good as gold now as if nothing's happened. Happily snoring away.
On a different note I felt very unwell this morning. Think I must have caught her viral infection and together with exhaustion I could barely cope. Good thing dh was kind for a change and stayed at home to look after L so as I slept pretty much the whole day. I feel great now Grin

MotherOfCleo · 02/06/2014 23:36

So glad you and L are feeling better!!

PuppyMummy · 08/06/2014 05:50

I had the last berry boy on the 8th Nov, so a new little fella is very welcome! Wink Does little man have a name yet?

Glad you are both doing well! I'm afraid the first few weeks we all flew a bit by the seat of our pants, so don't expect too much of yourself. We are all here if you have any questions! No doubt one of us will have had the same issue/query at some point! Smile
