( sorry)

Evening!
Hi Nova!![waving frantically!] Oh a tooth! And clapping! Noo has been busy We've neither here! And I missed Jess was 9 months yesterday! Oops! LOL at first job! God, don't start me off again!!
Thanks for the talking to Chacha, you are so right, I'm silly feeling down about it, they're just growing up so fast!! (And I am the most sentimental person ever!!)
Tessasmum, awwww first grass stains! How cute!
Off for dinner

Tessasmum I think you mean congratulations bob (and that goes from me too). Good job you didn't change your name!

Chacha - it's the 9-12 section as Noo is 9 months on saturday . We are using the teething powders and Calpol. I decided to take her teething necklace off as I was worried about her strangling herself now she's moving around a bit more and playing with it, and the difference has been shocking. She's a lot more troubled by her teething now, but as DH says we'd rather have a teething baby than a dead one (sorry upon reading that seems a bit harsh, but you know what I mean).

Good title on the new thread Rodeo - lol!

novadandypowder · 11/07/2006 21:07

Sorry - the change your name was to BoB, not Tessasmum

browniechick · 11/07/2006 22:03

Ooh - new thread! how cool! Thanks Rodeo

Welcome back Nova - you have been missed - trust everything is ok now? Hope you and Nat are feeling loads better.

We have 2 teeth - not too troublesome, which am pleased about, apply bonjela / equivalent or Anbesol now and again, but he has been a brave little soldier with it all, so know we are very lucky (and that could change at any moment!)

Not too much else to report really - have got stairgates now (a friend has given me hers) so will have to work out where am going to put them now! (Bottom of our stairs has a door on it, so not needed there - so think top of stairs, and not sure about gate 2.)

Anyway, am off to bed now - for much needed rest after hectic Brownie BBQ for last night before Summer Hols.

Speak more soon
Brownie

Evening all,

Thanks for the new thread Rodeo, and brilliant title! Thinking a lot about what you posted and really understand . Yep, Kitty is also moving up to the juniors, although at same school... will no longer have a child in the infants for 1st time in 10 years! Will be v.strange. And ds2 is to be in last year of primary! And ds1 is doing his maths GCSE! Don't get me started! That 'last baby' thing is a real toughie, especially when tied in with bereavement as I think it might be in your case... more [hugs]. No pics of Kitty's fringe yet, but her headache is okay now I think. Will send her back to school tomorrow.
BEKs and BoB, I meant to say would you still like to meet up? Sorry not to reply to your suggestions earlier as the meeting was evolving, it must have seemed rude..... was trying to juggle too many dates in my head at once.
ChaCha, sorry you won't be able to make it after all but was a nice idea. Lol at you and your mags and 'treats'... come on, spill the beans, what did you get? Fizzy cola bottles?
Hi Nova, lol at cats puncturing paddling pool... perhaps like the siamese ones from Disney's Lady and the Tramp....
Well done on the stairgates Brownie.
Hi Tessa, lol at grass stains on Ash's trousers! Get that Vanish bar at the ready!
BEKs, hope you're okay, haven't seen you post in last few days?
BoB, what's the low down on your pg? Any cravings? How is it carrying O around with your little bump? Must feel v.special.
Hi Diege!
Hi GG!
Golden hope work/home balance is working well for you. LilJ, hope your job interview went well. JenJam Hi!
Hi everyone else too.
Oh and ChaCha... so excited about your scan tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing all about it, good luck!
Nighty night.

Londoner · 11/07/2006 23:48

Meant to say, ChaCha, it was very moving to read your post on your long and difficult journey to Motherhood. Have heard before that endometriosis can be cured by having a baby and here you are to prove it.... well done woman.

ChaCha · 12/07/2006 08:29

Morning all,

Brand new thread, great title

Thanks Londoner
Still can't believe you have child who's doing GCSE's Do your older kids confide in you and ask you for advice and stuff? I guess they see you as a friend a lot of the time. I was looking fwd to meeting up again and seeing the babies playing together - another time hopefully, would have been lovely. I loooove fizzy cola bottles but I don't have a great choice of sweets as they have to be suitable for vegetarians. Gourmet Jelly Beans are absolutely yummy, I have been eating a couple of packets every night along with salted popcorn and they are veggie so am stuck on them at the moment..have you tried them? They have the most amazing flavours...

Tessasmum - LOL at the face emoticon at T eyeing the stairs!! Ha ha! And grass stains, how sweet is that? Awww...

We have a silly game at the moment, DS loves standing, I think he gets a power trip, anyway, i hold his hands and he stands up while I'm sitting down and I tell him we're about to start round 1 and bow my head and shout 'HAI'. He starts laughing hysterically, shaking his head and then we start all over again - is amazing what sets him off! He is also getting quite carried away on bouncer these days, he gets the strap all twisted as he bounces from one room into another and does circles en route then wonders why he is going back in other direction!! Hmmm..Any news on recipes guys? I desperately need some.

Brownie - Hope you had a good rest.

p.s. Londoner, Scan is tomorrow, am going from excitment to nervousness!

Diege · 12/07/2006 13:00

Hello everyone . Just back from nice trip out to the park, and now sitting back while Scarlett makes play dough turtles and Libby snoozes .
Nothing v. exciting here, other than a good spend this morning on the Miss Selfridge website (not really my obvious place to shop, but some lovely dresses...)Have the ordeal of hairdressing appointment for girls this afternoon , but the weather is so perfect here that anything seems possible!!
Hi to everyone! Good luck for tommorrow's scan CHACHA - a dating scan?, hi LONDONER, agree can't believe your children are so grown up, you must feel so proud of them, they seem so lovely . Looking forward to seeing Kitty's fringe !RODEO: thanks for new thread...can't believe we talk so much!!! Glad you know the spot I mentioned in Whitby - do you think it's a good place?? You could of course come to where we are staying (self-catering flat on Silver street I think??, and we could take it from there, might be a better idea esp. if weather is grotty...???)TESSA: lol at grass-stains; awwww, cute for now, but you'll be cursing in a few years!!
Hi NOVA: soooo glad to see you back!!! Hoping you are feeling better and back to your usual self soon .
Hi BROWNIE, GG, BOB, and everyone else!!

tessasmum · 12/07/2006 14:18

ChaCha - hadn't forgotten about recipes, just trying to think.
Trying to feed Ash what we have as much as poss now - roast dinners, bolognese, risotto. Just mash it as necessary and put a portion or two in freezer if there's enough. Making quiche for tonight so he'll have some of that, might even try him on coleslaw though will just use yoghurt in his rather than yoghurt and mayo for the rest of us.
Good stand-bys are small potato 'baked' in microwave and mashed up with cheese and tomato. Also bake a salmon fillet in oven for 20 mins with little olive oil and mash up with pasta and yoghurt, add veg of your choice - that one makes several meals and even fussy Tessa wil eat it!
HTH

Rodeo · 12/07/2006 16:34

Afternoon
Have spent the afternoon with SIL in Ikea. I always go in not needing anything, spend 20 odd pounds, put it out/away/up and forget what I've got! Just blends in, happens everytime!
Diege, did you get those drsses that were in Grazia last week??!! They were lovely! They were white and either red, blue or yellow, gonig to quickly finish this post so I can have a look! Spot in Whitby is great, have got a pic of Joe on one of those rides from last year Just hoping for good weather as d says we're not going if it's bad (it p*ssed it down last year!) So keeping everything crossed!
Londoner, thanks Glad you see where I'm coming from, I know I am overly sentimental, and it does hold me back sometimes - I'll try hard to overcome it!
Chacha, Z and his little games, awww Looking orward to you scan news too! And wh omentioned fizzy cola bottles?! There's a shop in town that does fizzy cherry cola bottles - they're gorgeous!! Ooh my mouth is watering! Like Tessasmum we just whizz up whatever we're having too for Jess - sunday dinner, cheesy pasta, fish rice & veg, baked potatoes and freeze any leftovers for days when what we eat isn't suitable. She has things like toast, egg, potato cakes (she loves these!) crumpets, cheese & ham, fruit and yoghurt for lunch and has weetabix, fruit or yoghurt for brekkie HTH
Jess has perfected a look just lately she uses on dp - if he tries to tell her off she smiles so sweetly I can count the seconds til it makes him smile and go 'aahhhh, isn't she a cutie!' She's going to have him round her litte finger! The sucker.
Off to make a start on tea, via Miss S website - I nearly forgot!

Diege · 12/07/2006 17:36

Afternoon!!! RODEO!!OMG yes!!!!! It was after reading Grazia (or was it Heat?, yet both) that I saw THE dress of my dreams. Yes, you could get it in either blue, red or yellow, and I went for the blue . Liked the other colours, but have a lot of yellow this year, and the red seemned it bit 'statement' iyswim . Then of course had to accessorise it with a necklace and earrings in the turquoise!!! Hoping the good weather will stay now, for whitby too!!
TESSA/RODEO, brill recipe ideas!! So simple, yet I whould never had thought of them!! Love the fish one, and good old potatao cakes too .
Well, just got back from hairdressers and Libby had a trim too - she went in with a huge willo the wisp typ thing on top of her head, and now had a number 2 buzz-cut ...not exactly what I imagined, but she does look cute in a riot girlzz sort of way ; just need the camaflage paint and I will have my very own action man !!
Right, teas..speak later!
Diege x

tessasmum · 12/07/2006 18:43

OK, we are officially in trouble, Ash can pull himself up on sofa and coffee table. Left him playing on the floor this afternoon and returned 2 mins later to find him standing up
Has also fallen and given himself a bloody lip on said coffee table today - seems to gain at least one bruise/scrape/scratch a dat ATM!

Rodeo · 12/07/2006 21:19

Evening!
Diege!!! I have been laughing my head off with tears running down my face at your description of poor Libby's hair cut! Sorry ! I can't get the blooming Miss Selfridge website to work on my medieval laptop, but those dresses are lovely, think I would have gone for blue too.
Tessa, wow Ash really is on the move! I wonder if he'll bypass the crawling stage and go straight to walking? Gulp!
Just watching Only Fools on Horses, some of those horses are beautiful, Anna's is especially gorgeous. Must get something sorted on the riding front for over summer!
Speak tomorrow x x x

Hi all.

Its been absolutely AGES since I last posted & I was wondering if you still remmember me?

Obviously far too much to catch up on but I have discovered BoB is pg again, wow!! Big congrats to you & your family. Hopefully not too sicky.

Anyone else pg?

Rodeo, thanks for the new thread & great name.

Big hello to Beksmum, chacha, Londoner(welcome back), golden, diege, rodeo, nova, tessasmum, BoB, brownie & all the rest too. Did you all enjoy your meet-ups? I shall have a look on the yahoo site for any pics.

Little update from me. Ella is coming up to 8 months old, not crawling but sits quite happily. She has 2 teeth & claps when she feels like it. Her vocabulary is extensive, we have bababababa & mmmnnmmmnnn but my absolute favourite is ummaah mmuummaaahh (which sounds a lot like mumma). She uses it when she wants me so I reckon its kosher.

I'm working pretty much full time which explains my lack of MN contact lately....I'm too bloody knackered. And Big Brother takes up my evenings now

Hope everyone's baby is just peachy. I guess we're all developing eyes in the back of our heads now they're mobile!! Bye for now, X

Diege · 12/07/2006 22:21

Hi KARMA!!! Great to hear from you and your news .; I can imagine little ELLA sitting in the floor clapping and calling for you .
LOL RODEO, I will have to post a piccy of Libby's new 'do', maybe a bit of gel or styling cream would help? Will have to prepare myself for the inevitable boy baby comments .
Right, back to BB!!

Rodeo · 12/07/2006 22:25

Karma, LOVELY to hear from you!!! Yes, Chacha is preg too!! Ella sounds so cute, think she is the only baby we've not seen a picture of! Has she any hair? Post again soon! x x x

Rodeo · 12/07/2006 22:28

Diege I'm still chuckling away, dp thinks I've gone mental! Who's your current BB fave? I like Glyn, Nicky and Imogen - did you see her heaving tonight?! Cannot stand Jayne!

OP posts:
ChaCha · 12/07/2006 22:31

Good evening girls,

I won't say the usual 'just a quick one from me' as it always turns into an essay.

Karma - Great to see you post, how is everything? Ella sounds adorable as always, how are you enjoying work? Keep posting when you can.

Diege - you and your shopping woman, LOL! How do you all do it with bigger families? I gave up my credit and store cards before DS came along so I can only buy what i have the cash for now, it is very hard, otherwise.... [opens new browser types m..] How are you getting through the marking? Had another transcription through this evening but have until end of weekend, phew!

Rodeo - I saw Emma Cox on Richard and Judy talking about that programme, with your love of horses i imagine that you enjoy it, how is Ruby Wax doing? I saw a clippet of her talking about gay horses and pink hoofs or something..?!

Tessasmum - Awwwww! That's it isn't it, he he! I have to place a mirror everywhere so that i can see what he's doing behind me, luckily no standing up to furniture yet - OMG! He did let me cuddle him this afternoon and sing him a song [and my singing sucks] that was lovely
Thanks for recipe ideas ladies, when i hadn't the ingredients to make AK stuff i just resorted to really boring cubes from freezer. Now i'll try potato cakes...em, how do you make them? can you just type me some small simple recipes pls...please! Like TM did...hint..hint..

Anyone else i've forgotten, where's Beks?

Quick clean up and off to bed, am pooped x

Rodeo · 12/07/2006 22:33

Oh and do you watch Big Brother's Big Mouth? My sister's just bought us tickets to see Russell Brand, I think he's hilarious!

OP posts:
ChaCha · 12/07/2006 22:34

X posts Rodders Trotters,

BB...eugh! eugh! eugh!
I saw a bit the other day, there was a woman who looked like she was going to bust out of her bikini top, a blonde girl who was just eughhhhh and a couple of weird guys. If only you could tell me the fascination of watching these people then maybe, just maybe I'd understand...
Do you watch BB with your partners btw? Do neither parties get jealous? Just a thought.

ChaCha · 12/07/2006 22:35

Not that i dislike it or anything...

Rodeo · 12/07/2006 22:39

Chacha, x-ed post make potato cakes??!! I get Tesco to make mine luv Just put in the toaster, slather with lurpak and voila, one quick lunch item, sorry to disappoint!! Sara Cox is doing great, but poor Ruby was voted out pretty early on!
