Morning Rodeo - congrats on Jess crawling (I think!) And standing up already..she'll be off then - good luck!

Is your house ready for a crawler? (Mine still isn't, and he's been at it for a couple of months! Must get my head out of the sand and get this resolved!)

Diege · 16/07/2006 09:16

Morning everyone . Feeling better thanks RODEO, though felt groggy after it had passed. Loved the old lady image of Jess crouching over with a walking stick , sounds like she's just waiting to launch herself around the room. We went to a school fete too yesterday, which was lovely and ,low-key, there being only 30 children in the school. There was a hairdresser there, offering haircuts for a donation, and she asked if Libby wanted hers doing (good local paper piccy etc...like it looked as if it needed cutting ...so now it looks extremely 'sharp' (the word she used), lol !! Poor little thing, it's more like velcro than action man now, but at least she's cool in this weather!!
Hi Chully! Meant to say little Jonty looks gorgeous, and very grown up!! Totally with you on the horrid group experience...some people...
Right, Scarlett is being a little s**t,
Speak later,
Diege

Rodeo · 16/07/2006 11:30

Morning Chully & Diege
Dp's taken the older 2 swimming so should really be tidying. He'll never know!
Diege, aw! I'm sure her hair looks fine Let us know if Libby gets in the paper! I've started sweepng Jess's to the side (bit like a boy from the 50s) as I never know what to do when it gets all wispy over their faces, fringe or no fringe?! Bella didn't have a fringe til she was about 4 but has been growing it out since last summer and it's to her chin now, takes ages to get past that scruffy stage! Was it Jasmine's school? Didn't know she was in such a little school, how nice
Chully, no house isn't baby safe at all! Loads of sharp corners and chokable items lying around And she seems to home in on them too - I've fished so many things out of her mouth these past few weeks - sellotape, crayons, old toast (at least that's edible) Keep finding her with little fat fists full of cat hair too, with a rather p*ssed off looking cat skulking in the opposite direction!
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday, we're having a paddling pool day at home and maybe a walk later when it's cooled down, off to watch the end of Countryfile, and then a mad 15 mins tidying, making sure dp see's me whn they come in

Hiya, sat in the garden with Owen on bouncy castle, and Sean and DP aslepp in front room. Taking a picnic to field later on, thats become our Sunday thing lately. We're really lucky, there's a field opposite us in the hospital and we take Owens rockets or bike over, no-one else seems to use i, just a few dog walkers, and they go over the other side.

Yes, car sorted thanks Rodeo. Was going to say 'Well I guess you had to be there' with the YBF thing, but you got there 1st. That was one of mine and my best friends 'many catchphrases when at school. Sounds like Jess is going to be keeping your hands full from now on too. Glad Seans not the only one to find old bits of food on the floor , must get hoover out more often.

Diege - glad migraines retreated. I've only ever suffered with them when I worked at teh Harvester, and they were fortnight long epics, so I really feel for anybody who suffers regularly.

Chully - I've seen Jonty's photos, looks like you've got a mischeivous little lad there!

Going to go and do some sandwiches etc. Looks like everyone's having a busy weekend, making the most of good weather I expect.

GG xx

browniechick · 16/07/2006 18:45

Hello All! Another scorcher this weekend! HAve been quite busy -specially since DH has been away at a stag do! (but he was home by lunch time today - so not too bad!) Yesterday we went to FILs as they were hosting a surprise 40th for DHs step sister...she had NO idea! to say she was wouldn't do it justice! Her DH had arranged everything....they both ended up in tears! We only went over for a couple of hours, cos they live an hour away, and the timing all fell wrong for Ts tea, bed etc - but at least we showed willing!
Then today, we went down by the river with DS godmother and fed the ducks and had an ice cream T had a mini-milk - and ate the whole lot!!! - wasn't sure if he should be having any (bad mummy guilt feelings!) but couldn't eat one in front of him and not let him have his own!! Decided it couldn't be any worse than petis filous - so now don't feel at all guilty!!

Diege - glad you are feeling better - I am a fellow sufferer - they are just the pits aren't they On a lighter note - I GOT THE BAG - it is lush

Well, must go, DH is cooking on the BBQ and ought to pretend to lend a hand!!

Speak later

Brownie

BEKsmum · 16/07/2006 23:04

Evenig all, hope everyone has had a nice weekend. We've had a lovely day today, had 4 sets of friends round with their kids for a BBQ, it meant that we got to see the friend from HK for a bit longer, before they move to Cyprus - some people have a hard life don't they. Started at 2pm and ended at 9:30pm so think I can assume that everyone had a good time.

Have managed to clear everything away in the dark and thankfully it's recycling day tomorrow as our box is so full of beer bottles it's embarrassing

Right off for a bath then it's bed for me as disturbed nights sleep guaranteed as Thomaas has a cold again argghh. Night all, catch up with you tomorrow. Beks

Londoner · 17/07/2006 09:11

???CONGRATULATIONS ON CRAWLING JESS!???

Londoner · 17/07/2006 09:14

Rodeo, doh, it was your sister's best friend, poor thing, but v. glad it wasn't your sister too.

Diege · 17/07/2006 09:55

Morning!! Just a quick hello from me, as am in work and SNOWED UNDER with piles of things to do. Serves me right for going for slacking off on my working from home days!!
Had a quick look through posts, and sounds like everyone had a lovely weekend, lol at boozy recycling box BEKS!! Sounds like you had fun anyway. BROWNIE: L has had countless mini-milks -agree, sort of same as petit filou and nice and cooling . BTW, tasted a rusk (me) for first time at weekedn, HOW sweet are they!!! Thought they were heathly ish, but no wonder she guzzles them! RODEO: do you think BB is the same without Nicki?? , and how sad am I for thunking so!! School fete was at sister's kids school, in the back of beyond. Yes, it would be lovely to be part of a small environment like that, though they are always having to fund raise to keep it open!
Hi BROWNIE, LONDONER, GG, BOB, NOVA, BAM, TITNEY, CHULLY, CHACHA, TESSA, and anyone else who knows me!!

babyonboard · 17/07/2006 14:08

novadandypowder · 17/07/2006 15:06

well they say things come in three's so I would like to add my name to the list of BFP's .

Found out at lunchtime, and still in a state of shock. Thought my AF had come, but it went again after a few days of spotting. Very early days yet, only 5 weeks, so should be due around mid-march.

Feeling very tired so trying to persuade noo to have a nap!
