Hi everyone,

So glad you got the news you were waiting for Nova...massive congratulations from us and can't wait to share PG stories with you once again I'm really excited for you! In fact, DH has just walked through the door and I've told him - took him a while to remember who you were and what group I was talking about [oh your mummy thingy he says] and says 'congratulations....seeeeeeee!'

Yippeeeee....

LOL Beks at beer box - i have to admit when walking past all student accomodation in my street always cringe at the overflowing boxes of bottles...lol! How's everything? Almost melted hanging out washing, wanna bring it on Beks?! Get dancing!

Hi to everyone else. Customer really pleased with weekend's work so i'm chuffed and looking fwd to weekend - we are off to the Gower...hurray!

novadandypowder · 17/07/2006 18:35

thanks for your kind words everyone, my mind is still a bit whirring from it all, having to fight the need to run out and get another test just to make sure.

hello to everyone else, sorry just a bit self-absorbed today

tessasmum · 17/07/2006 19:05

Got a spare test here Nova!! Bought 2 when testing for Ash and it was so positive that I didn't need the other one. I don't intend to need it

tessasmum · 17/07/2006 19:07

ChaCha - 22nd February is an excellent November thread day, its Tessa's birthday and BAM's Alex

BEKsmum · 17/07/2006 19:13

Afternoon

Nova fantastic news, really thrilled for you, must have been hard hearing about the other two when you were trying too, still I'm sure you enjoyed all the extra practice Ben is a March baby and it's a fab time for a little one to be born. Lol at your posting loads of times, we'll believe you that it was Nat not you So what did Mr Nova say or have you told us first before he gets home from work?

I'm definitely not volunteering for the April baby, one of you lot can have the honour

Chacha I will happily do the rain dance for you at any time, have worn myself out trying to make it rain here. My friends from HK wanted to know why we weren't having a traditional bbq in the rain yesterday
We're all good here, Tom has a rotten cold, and is as miserable as sin poor mite and Ben is just being Ben good out, naughty at home, so the perfect child really.
By the way which of the carriers did you use last time as I'll post it back to you and you can keep it for good this time, as you will definitely get more use out of it than I will.

Rodeo meant to say well done Jess for crawling - so does that mean Tom is the only one still immobile then? Bad mummy really must encourage him more

Right suppose I'd best go and help with the bed routine as I can hear Tom wailing downstairs, speak to you all later. Beks

ChaCha · 17/07/2006 19:41

It's so hot!!!!! and set to get even hotter!! Eeeeek...

TM - WoW, that's amazing! If it was a week early though would share MIL's birthday and mum's husband which is also valentines day. Is it likely that you have the same symptoms as last pregnancy that you conceive same sex child? I'm covered in spots, have Dr's appt anyway tomorrow about PG, will show them to GP and get it checked. Yuk.

Beks - You are too kind and pls keep dancing, i'm finding it toooo hot.

Better shift my butt have already texted for a take out

novadandypowder · 17/07/2006 20:06

Beks - I managed to get DH home for lunch as I couldn't wait until this evening. He's very very chuffed, and is teasing me by having a very lovely smelling beer to celebrate. It was definitly noo doing the posting - her arms are so long that no matter how far away I push the keyboard she can still hit it.

Have been hit by extreme tiredness, and think I'm going to make an appointment with the homeopath asap to try and stave off any sickness.

Sorry to hear about poorly babies, not fun at any time but certainly not good with this heat - boo.

novadandypowder · 17/07/2006 20:07

oh - and noo isn't crawling yet, so don't worry. She gets on her knees and rocks back and forwards but thats it. And she still won't stand!

browniechick · 17/07/2006 20:33

Congratulations Nova !!!!!
Had an inkling but didn't want to say anything! Cool - who'll be next??!!
Thomas still hasn't quite mastered the mivng forwards thing yet! Although he is still pretty mobile, and has really mastered going backwards!!!
Beks - my T has also got a really snotty nose - not sure if it's a cold or if he is getting ready to cut another tooth....guess only time will tell!

Can't believe that it's only gonna get hotter.....hotter!!?? Not sure it can get any hotter.....am melting....and the poor babes - they get all sleepy and tetchy - well mine does anyway! Poor thing

Anyway, off to veg in front of the TV... Am so proud of myself - I have managed to resist watching any of this years BB (so far!!) my exh always wanted to apply - got the forms one year, but they are a bit daunting - it's like writing a novel!! (actually, bumped into him today, long story, probably for another day! but anyway, he is thinking of applying for next years - will believe it when I see him in the house I reckon!)

Anyway,

speak later - try and keep cool! Congrats again Nova (And Mr Nova) - absolutely thrilled for you all!

Brownie

browniechick · 17/07/2006 20:36

moving even!!

T also does that hands and knees rocking thing - he did attempt to pull himself to standing today whilst gripping on to the fire guard!

LaylaandSethsmum · 17/07/2006 20:42

Seths still bum shuffling but getting around.

Anyway Byeee xxx

LaylaandSethsmum · 17/07/2006 20:43

Sorry should be CONGRATULATIONS NOVA !!!

LaylaandSethsmum · 17/07/2006 20:43

Ok can't seem to make it work!!

Chully · 17/07/2006 21:03

Congrats, Nova - very exciting!!

Babies and bumps everywhere - am I the only one who just has the one?

It's so hot! At least you pregnant folk will have a nice cool 3rd trimester to look forward to - it can't be much fun in this heat!

DS hasn't been well for a couple of days - his temperature was 103 for 2 whole days; calpol brought it down a bit, but as soon as we stopped, the temp soared back up! Anyway, he's much better today.

I hope everyones spots/ snotty noses/ colds etc clear up really soon!

browniechick · 17/07/2006 21:13

No Chully - I only have the one! And at the moment, that is enough for me! I'm not ruling out others, just want to recover from this one first!!!

Sorry to hear Jonty has been a bit off colour - hope he is on the mend now.
Meant to ask - is Jonty his "full" name, or is it short for something? Just being nosey really - but also had a friend that sometimes shortened her little boy Jonathan's name to Jonty....so just wondered......

Brownie

Chully · 17/07/2006 21:20

Brownie, so it's not just me, then - good!

Jonty is his full name. I know it can be a shortening for Jonathan, but we liked it as Jonty. (His next name is Montgomery, which makes him Jonty Monty - hee hee hee!)

ChaCha · 17/07/2006 21:42

Am heading upstairs for a quiet night. Realised that i did not mention the poor babies that aren't feeling to well, so here is a message specially for them :-

Get well soon tiddlers!!!!

And keep cool everyone, it's gonna be HOT!!!

BEKsmum · 17/07/2006 22:02

Nova fab, it's so lovely when you get to tell your hubby isn't it, my dh's reaction to Thomas was "oh *"@? - here we go again then"
Nat sounds adorable, we'll have to arrange a meet up soon. Bet you can't get your head round that the fact that your baby girl is going to be a big sister . Hope the tiredness doesn't last too long.

Chully sorry to hear Jonty is poorly, it's really hard when they have a temp in this heat isn't it. Have you given him Nurofen for kids, it's much more effective as reducing temperatures - and works quicker too.

Brownie poor Thomas too, my T is as ratty as anything which is difficult especially when we're waiting for the CP as everyone keeps saying look out to see if he gets irritable - how do I tell the difference

L&S love the scowl face, men what are they like, go and tell him he hasn't cut it short enough just for a laugh

Heard today that a friend of a friends child has got Measles, even after having the MMR - what a nightmare

Right my room is boiling so I'm off to sit in the garden to cool down for 5 mins, see you all tomorrow. Beks

Rodeo · 17/07/2006 22:06

CONGRATULATIONS MR AND MRS NOVA
Love the 8x post - we get the message!

Super hot day (stating the obvious) We've bought a huge 10ft new paddling pool, takes forever to blow up (although we have got a electric pump) and fill but they love it. The old one had too many punctures but it had a good run
Jess is loving crawling but is only as fast as a decrepid tortoise so quite easy to control - so far!
Bob, congrats to your friend too Any names? And I agree, who's April?? Diege?! Enthusia? (spotted her name on a conception thread not long ago y'know )
Get well soon to the poorly babes, Tom & Jonty Monty
Right, I really need a bath! Night x x x

Chully · 18/07/2006 02:28

Thanks for the Nurofen advice, Beks - I really should have posted this when I was at my wits end 2 days ago and got advice! I'll learn...

(Now, if ds will just go to sleep, perhaps I'll look a bit less haggard!)

Londoner · 18/07/2006 09:45

Hello all, good morning,

Beautiful day here again, lets hope it's not hotter.... at least the nights are lovely and cool here, and the mornings.
BEKs and Chully - I really hope your LO's are feeling better this morning and that you had a good night last night?
Nova, wonder if you managed to sleep what with all your excitement.
ChaCha, BoB and Nova... saw an amazing pushchair in use recently, think it might have been Tex's actually not sure, but it was the Marco Sky pushchair and it was so brilliant. Pushchair is designed for 2 close together and unlike others it puts the smallest baby at the top, right up near the handle and mum.
oh, gotta go to sports day...can't do mums' race while still carrying all this milk I don't think.... or will dd1 feel let down? Maybe I could run with babe in arms?
Speak later, byeeeeee!
You okay Diege?

Diege · 18/07/2006 10:01

Sorry sorry sorry I havn't had time to respond to news etc, just wanted to let you know I'm still alive!!

Diege · 18/07/2006 10:01

Oh me and my capitals... you get the idea..

novadandypowder · 18/07/2006 10:21
