GarfieldsGirl · 14/07/2006 14:25

OOOOOHHHHH, Chully, I'd have smacked that woman sooooo blinking hard if that was me!

My ds1, Owen, never crawled, but he started walking at 9.5mths. He starts reception in Sept, and is doing year 2 maths, so she can go $%&#@£$%, aaarrrggghhhhhh! .

So no, she's just talking b*%@#x!

I'm so so mad and I don't even know the woman, doesn't she know babies do things at different times. Ooh ooh ooh, I'm sat here shaking.

Will read everyone elses posts in a sec, I just got so wound up by that I had to get it out of my system, sorry peeps.

GarfieldsGirl · 14/07/2006 14:41

Hi again, calmed down now!!!!

Twinkle - hope things will start looking up for fil and your family soon. Do the docs think it likely of any major improvement? Try uswitch Yours do sound very high.

bob - something you said made me laugh, can't remember what now tho, hang on, let me look...that was it... Oz chasing squirrels, very sweet.

re mash, I only eat my own, other peoples always have lumps. I only use butter (and lots of it), and whisk it loads with the electric hand whisk. But I only eat it mixed up with Birds Eye petit pois, and the only peas I will eat are those mixed with mash! We're gtting back to food fetishes here I think!

Thanks for the feedback re party

Right, must stopSean eating my plasters!

titneyspears · 14/07/2006 14:43

Hi I have been Reading this but It seems you all knew each other so much I was worried to put entries on.
It was lovely to see you remembered me, (Thankyou novadandypowder)
I'll try to not be so nervous now, it does seem silly to be nervous about an online group but you all seem to know everything about each other and be good friends.
I hope I am welcome as it is lovely here and really seems you take good support from each other.
I will change my name as soon as I know how as mine is silly. Do I email them or what?.Thanks.

ChaCha · 14/07/2006 14:54

Hi Titney - Nice to have you back! I think we all understand what you mean. TBPH I actually stopped posting for a while when DS was born because I felt it was all a bit cliquey on MN so i can understand why people would feel reluctant to post and why so many other regulars have stopped. We've all just gotten on so well and have so much to share it's amazing. I actually want to write a book on it (but won't)
Keep posting, once you start....

BoB - That sounds like a superb day out and one that I'd definitely like to have. I am so hungry right now the talk of food again is making me drool a bit like when I lived abroad and would be fasting, somehow all we seemed to talk about on the school bus home was food! Funny...
Unfortunately was sick after BBQ, don't do well in the evenings but was still nice.

Chully - Have sent you an invitation

Starving...

babyonboard · 14/07/2006 15:47

ooh titney.hi! nice to see you came back.
don't be scared theres only a couple of us who bite and we are well trained!

chahca..I have emailed you..know you're rcbish at checking them..lol
Diege will be proud ..i have spent soo much online shopping today..inclusing some newborn stuff..must stop myself!

babyonboard · 14/07/2006 15:52

rcbish..snigger

Chully · 14/07/2006 16:00

ChaCha, thanks for the mail - the pics on there are so cute! All the babies are lovely! Jonty now features there, too..

GarfieldsGirl, I'm glad you felt the same way I did about the jealous mother! I thought I was over-reacting since DH just found it mildly amusing! (But he's more charitable than I am...)

ChaCha · 14/07/2006 16:45

Will go and have a look at all new pics.

BoB - No email. You know you and your dodgy emails that never get there...he hee! Honestly, there's nothing in my inbox from you. Try again?

ChaCha · 14/07/2006 16:53

Beautiful pics
Rodeo - J is lovely, lovely, lovely! What a cutie and that little Jonty is a smasher isn't he? How cute! Pic of Oz and dad very nice as is the one with K & E...something about E's face just makes me go 'awwwwww'..she has something about her, can't put my finger on it.

Well done girls, babies all beautiful and growing so much!

Best try and get something ready for tea, groan...

babyonboard · 14/07/2006 17:08

chach..londoners E wil be the next kate moss (but without the drugs and partying aspect) no doubt! she is gorgeous!

babyonboard · 14/07/2006 17:09

chacha..call your best locaal takeway hun!

browniechick · 14/07/2006 19:39

Hello!! GG - I would be thrilled to have invite to party - so think it is a fab idea of yours (and vv organised!).
Chully - at the jealous lady - Thomas isn't "crawling" yet, although he has managed to move himself backwards today - so think it is gonna be soon! But I am not worried how quick he does what - as long as he is happy and healthy - that's what matters to me - some Mothers are just so nasty and frankly there is no reason (sorry - am like GG, this makes me cross )
Titney - Don't feel shy! I felt a bit like this to begin with - but everyone made me feel soo welcome, and now it's like having a dozen (or more!) "best" friends (whom I've never met!! how weird is that!!??) Think I am one of the few people who has not managed a meet up yet - but that is due to be remedied, when my hometown of Stratford is the venue for a meet-up in Sept (hoorah!!) it is pretty central - so if you fancy it....(can't remember where you live? sorry)
Oooh - had to be scary lady on the phone today!! (a role I play very well, when needed! ) Had to complain to Amazon - ordered some books nearly 2 weeks ago - they say they've despatched them via DHL, they have taken the money from my bank account - yet I ahve no books! So they are sending a replacement order! DHL say they tried to deliver, but no-one home..I explained to Mr Amazon man that I don't believe this, as am having the parcel delivered to work - and I know there is always someone there from 7:30am hhmmph! Anyway. they better turn up this time!

Best dash, can smell tea cooking......yummy!

Rodeo · 14/07/2006 19:43

Evening,
Awwww, Titney, get an invite to our yahoo group off chacha (think her e-mail address is a bit futher down?) and hopefully you'll soon feel part of the gang! Titney's a great name (maybe you could shorten it to just titney? I think you can just change it by going into 'Your registration' above? Have you seen our members list? Add your details if you like Wher are you from anyway? And what is your LO name? Being a bit nosy I know, but had a lager with dinner!
Chullyl, great to see your diving straight in! Jonty is so cute! He looks so old! He could pass for an 18 month old! Also about stupid mother!
Loving your new pics too Bob! Hate to say it but your dp reminds me of K Fed - sorry!! (But only a little bit Obviously your dp is much better looking!) Newborn clothes Awwwwww, how lovely, this time next year you and Cha will be mum's of 2 Thanks for the photo software too!
Alfiesmum HI!!! How exciting living in a caravan and building your own home! If you get through this you'll get through anything! And it'll all be worth it in the end! Add a few more pics of Oscar when you can. Hope to see you on here more!
Twinkle sorry your having such a tough time this time, hopefully things will get brighter soon And you'll be able to make a start on making no 4!
Diege, ooh nights out in Liverpool, how exciting! Wouldn't it be fun to have a MN night out? Great news about your friends Not sure of, hmmm, how did you put it? 'Sperm donation over pasta'! LOL. Who's out on BB tonight I wonder?!
Oooh dear I'm getting huffs from dp, better go! x x x
Oh before I go, thanks for all the lovely comments about Jess

OP posts:
BEKsmum · 14/07/2006 19:55

Evening all

Lovely photos all, Jess is just adorable and Bob Oskar is so like you, he is such a cutie and Chully Jonty is gorgeous what a mischevious face.

GG bleugh thanks for that, you managed to put the two foods I hate most in the same dish, perhaps I should put a picture of mash and peas on my fridge - might help my diet Watch that Ribena Bob!
Hope you do manage to make the Stratford meet up as it sounds like Ben and Owen were seperated at birth, think they will get on famously.

Alfiesmum, welcome back, good to see you, wondered where you'd gone, wow how brave to build your own home, sounds like a mammoth project but so rewarding, tell us more about your plans when you get a chance. Re Beartime and Busy, Beartime has left us as she didn't like bad language and Busy is just that, I think she's up to her eyes in college courses etc at the moment, but pops back occasionally.

Titney welcome back, keep posting hun, those of us who bite can be tamed, honest!
We do all know each other as you said but you'll soon work us all out, try and come along to one of the meet ups if you can, then you'll get to know us all more quickly, think there's one planned for Stratford upon Avon in September and the SE London girls meet quite regularly not sure about the N. Londoners these days as some have gone back to work. Those in the north all go shopping together regularly, their addicted to shopping that lot so watch out for them, Diege is the worst

Diege just kidding by the way, we know you can stop shopping whenever you want & it isn't a problem
Great post, love the fizzy legs line, excellent. Hmmm not sure about the turkey baster conversation over your pasta though. My best friends sister is in the same sort of relationship and they have a little boy and a set of twins, by sperm donation from an ex boyfriend - how complicated does that sound, worked really well for them though.

High twinkle, good to hear from you, hope your taking time out to look after yourself too, with all this racing around - must be really difficult for you sending you lots of strength and patience.

Hello to everyone else i've missed!

Right was only popping on here for five minutes and have been on an age, best go

BEKsmum · 14/07/2006 19:59

That should have been hi twinkle too many nursery rhymes sung around here me thinks!

twinkle1 · 14/07/2006 20:16

twinkle

Londoner · 14/07/2006 20:25

Hi girls,

Hello Titney... good to have you on board.....if you want to change your name you can go in here to edit your personal details. Ooh, what's it to be then, a brand new pseudonym eh?
Chully, your Jonty is gorgeous, he looks so grown up! Still can't believe what I am seeing with the standing up, he looks great! I have to ask... is that your garden? It looks amazing, puts my grass to shame! Woman at party sounds horrid, and jealous as you say.
Rodeo, loving the pics of your Jess, especially love the one of her thinking she's being chased, so funny!
BoB, gorgeous pics of Oskar, so handsome, and what a great poseur he is already! V.dark good looks that laddy. E liked them too. Yes please would still love to have visitors next Wednesday.... what d'you guys fancy, my house or park? You're more than welcome to come here or if you prefer we could go to the park and watch O chase squirrels and I could explain to E how if only she tried harder she too could crawl. at belly button poking out and feeling flutterings, so lovely and exciting!
ChaCha, thank you for lovely comments on my girls, feel v. proud. So so glad to hear your scan went so well, congratulations again!
BEKs, my ds1 has always been very tall and was rather clumsy and badly coordinated physically as a younger boy, but in the last year has really grown into his body and is now very elegant and in control I feel. Have seen this with boys a number of times so don't fear. I swear by Arnica too, it's magical stuff isn't it? Also a big fan of the cold flannel as remedy for headaches, tummyaches and knocks and bruises.
Twinkle, so sorry to hear about your father in law. Sending lots of strength to you, things must be very tough. Hope you're okay. Oh, and yes, that bill sounds big, advice on here has been good, good luck..
Hi alfiesmum, good to hear from you!
Nova, yes, we saw that other fire and wondered about it, the East London one, unreal! Thanks for the info.
Diege.... now that wasn't you spotted in hair accessory dept trying clip-on extensions on baby was it? Hope driving went well today.
GG, at O doing yr2 maths already, you have the next Einstein or something? Although, thinking along those lines of that stupid jealous woman, I heard Einstein didn't talk until he was 4 anyway... puts her theories to bed then...
Right, have been trying to complete this post for the last 2 hours...think I'd better send it now..hello everyone else.... apologies for prob x-posting loads..... have great weekends. Oh yes t'would be great if Tex came too BoB & BEKs, barBque idea was great too, speak Monday, byee!

Londoner · 14/07/2006 20:31

Chully · 14/07/2006 21:19

It's true what you all said - you are all nice!

Thanks for the nice comments about Jonty - dh and I think he's gorgeous, but we're somewhat biased! (Personally, I think they may have given us the wrong baby!)

Londoner, yes - it's my garden. Looks like the lawn could do with a bit of a mow...

Rodeo · 14/07/2006 22:06

Aw don't mention it chully!

DIEGE - what the hell are we going to do without Nicky?!!

OP posts:
Diege · 14/07/2006 22:56

Urghh, feeling pretty awful with a rotton migraine, so just wanted to pop in and say hi before I'm off to a darkened room. It's been brewing all day, brought on by appaling driving lesson . And I'm sad too about Nicki . awwwww!!!! Not sure I want to watch it now!!
Totally 'me' post, but will try and read through what's been going on today tommorrow if that makes sense!

GarfieldsGirl · 15/07/2006 07:58

Hiya, morning everyone.

Quick post as gotta go pick my car up - DO NOT ASK !!!!! and then busy busy busy again.

bob - meant to say yesterday, and at fils girlfriends comments, you def nneed some witty retorts lined up for her, and I felt definate movements from Sean at 13wks.

Diege/Rodeo - without turning this into a BB thread, I thought Nikki was really popular in teh 'outside world', so what happened? I'm not interested, really i'm not

titney - don't feel nervous, I've only been here since March or April. They are a fab bunch, just get straight in there with the posting and you'll soon feel like one of the gang.

Chully - will go and look at pics of Jonty in just a sec.

I know there were lots of other things to say, I'm getting useless at replying these past few days. See you all later, have a good weekend all of you.

Rodeo · 15/07/2006 20:02

Evening

Been quiet here today, everybody must be out enjoying the sunshine. We've been to a Summer fete which was lovely, even entered Jess in a bonny baby comp! She didn't win though!
Diege, how you feeling today, when I had that migraine think it knocked me out for a couple of days. Hope your much better anyway
GG, hope you got your car sorted, hope your say wasn't too busy, I hate busy weekends when the days are so beautiful, should be in the garden or on a picnic!
Jess has had a busy day - she's mastered crawling forward - eventually, after weeks of threatening and going backwards! AND she stood up at the coffee table! In a bent over old lady kind of way
Did anybody watch You've Been Framed tonight? I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to die! Or at least give myself a hernia! There was a bunch of clips of people dressed up (zombies, monsters etc) jumping on unsuspecting people and children (hahaha, I'm off again!) It was hilarious and I was hysterical, took me a while to calm down ......BUT I suppose you had to be there, ahem.....
Off to watch Sport Relief now, bye! Will probably be back, dp out tonight
