Evening all
Welcome Back Diege! You were missed! Glad you've had happy hols, did you say hello to Whitby for me?! Not sure if guilty or innocent TBH, he was always a little spoilt though and his story's a little far fetched. I am withholding my judgement for the time being
Tessasmum, welcome back too! How was the camping? Hope you hada brill time, looking forward to holiday news from both of you
Londoner, Thank you and yes - the pics are from a film I thought I'd lost (ever disorganised me) but it turned up a while back. I've just got them back from Truprint and they put them on a CD for me for free which I thought was very nice of them (I didn't even know you could put a 35mm film on CD!). Lucky you with E being a late riser! What time does she get up? I have to change a pooey bottom at 6am every morning without fail! Then I pop her back in her cot with some warm milk and that may hold her off for another hour if I'm lucky! And she's coming on brilliantly with her talking, clever girl When is your sister's big day BTW?
Talking of talking - I was talking to my sister about our Stratford meet (Ooh Diege, we need to know if there are any Sundays in Sept you can't do) anyway....I told her that a lady called Brownie lived there and Jess said 'Brownie' Me and Laura just looked at her in disbelief. I have tried to get her to say it again but she won't! I keep saying 'Brownie' at her in a singsong voice but to no avail. Dp thinks I'm mental......
Brownie Happy Birthday Hope you've had a nice day despite Grandad being ill. Hope he's doing ok
GG, I've just been back on Yahoo to hunt you out LOL! And I can nearly see you
Chulls, Jess used to spit up a globule of sicky milk after every feed but it has recently stopped thank goodness. It's awful smelling that sicky smell and trying to hunt it out (when it's usually on your shoulder or down your back!) If it's not troubling him then I wouldn't worry, give him a couple more months and I bet it will stop
Love to everybody else (the midweek posters!) Speak tomorrow x x x

Morning!

Chully, Sean is just the same, and usually after milk, although he is sometimes sicky after proper food. I don't now about the 'phase' thing though, as he's never had a sick free spell at all.

Yes, Rodeo, you usually notice it once you're out of the house, wearing a white top with a big orange splodge on it!

Diege · 14/08/2006 08:49

Morning! Hope everyone is fine on this autumnal morning!! Is this it for the summer do you think? Back in work tommorrow, so last day at home with Jasmine . RODEO: hmmm, had a look through the website ('free the Derby one!) and have to agree that even the so called 'flawed' evidence sounds pretty damning!! (spots of blood and all that!!)We have someone at work (forensic pyschologist) that can just look at an interview of the 'relative' appealing for help, and can tell instantly if they are actually guilty! The police use him all the time, but he always lets us in on his verdict first, and he's never been wrong! Will have to show him profile of Mr. murder! LOved the piccies btw (and the other new ones), remember you being quite upset when you thought the film had been lost, or is that my imagination??
Happy belated birthday wishes BROWNIE!!! Hope you had a good one, and that the sun shined for you Thinking of your Grandad , hope he is feeling more comfortable. Re: meet-up, I think most Sundays are free in Sept, and will certainly prioritise any arranged MN dates .
CHULLY: In my experience, the sickness thing only occurs when they've had a little too much food/milk, though I'm sure you've ruled this one out . Know what you mean about horrible sicky smell though, not pleasant when it gets in the carpets . LONDONER: hope E's nappies weren't too bad . You do make her some good stuff I must say. Do you follow a recipe, or are you one of those 'naturals' who just throw it all together?? L's hair is making a comeback, and has flattened down after the coconut oil treatment for appalling cradlecap!! I have taken a piccy of her holding the toy haridryer, so will have to post it
Well, have to sort out childminder nightmare today, as have not heard back off someone who said she could help . Want to fit in a surprise trip to cimena to see Ant Bully too though, so have a busy day planned!
Oh and getting all nostalgic, had a look through some of our streams last year, leading up to the big days!!! Poor CHACHA left talking to herself at the end . btw, what do you think of the girl's name MIRABEL???? (yes, getting ahead of myself a little here!!)
TWINKLE!!!: still planning no.4??? Struggling to find a day in the next few weeks when I am not in work (having to do Weds too for a few weeks), so may have to be in September??? I will be off work on Weds from sept though, as I'm dropping to a 0.8 to guarantee one day at home, so me and dds could always meet you mid-way in Manchester say, or even Lowry, as Scarlett is a little 'easier' now (discounting 55 min tantrum yesterday .
Right, I'll stop waffling!!!

Diege · 14/08/2006 08:49

Hi GG!!!! x-posts there

Londoner · 14/08/2006 10:13

Hi girls, good morning,

Diege, so good to see you back, sorry to hear it's your last day of hols. Are you looking forward to going back to work at all? Gossip with colleagues etc.... Glad to hear Libby's hair is coming on nicely and well done on getting rid of the cradle cap. at Scarlett 55 min tantrum! That is a long time..... glad you feel she's getting easier, it's such a relief when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel after a particularly unpleasant phase isn't it? Can't wait to see the hairdryer pic, sounds hilarious! Have to confess dh made the curry and has done all cooking on his 2 week break.......aaaaaaah this is the life! Actually it's his first day back at work today. Am taking 3 out of 4 to doctor's this afternoon with nasty cough..... Fascinating about the forensic guy, wow, have you met him?
Rodeo, wow you must have been so revieved to find that film, they really couldn't have come out better shots could they. yeuch to 6am pooey nappy......
btw when I say late riser I'm not including E waking for milk at 12am, 2am, 4am and 6am....after a 10pm bedtime..... My ds wedding is 25th August..... I'm a bridesmaid along with our other sister and Kitty and Elizabeth.... dress doesn't fit over my boobs still... will have to cluster feed before I put it on I think lol!
Chully, don't have probs with sickness unless E is tired... have always known she needs a sleep as she starts bringing back her food could this be the case with Jonty ever..... does it bother him?
GG lol at orange sick post!
Right, hi to everbody else too.......... can't believe how quickly these hols are going!

Londoner · 14/08/2006 10:16

Oh and Diege, yes, Mirabel is really pretty - although possibly not if it's a boy. Do you think you'd have a girl with no.4?
Talking of premonitions... Rodeo, are you really a bit psychic? Am fascinated......

Diege · 14/08/2006 12:54

Hi LONDONER!! Not really looking forward to getting back to work, as no-one else will be in, so a bit isolating. Plenty of time for mn though!! Oh and yes I know the forensics guy really well; his office is next to mine so always good for a goss' with . Glad you like 'Mirabel' (sure that a 4th would be a girl), but then shopuld I spell it 'Mirabelle'???, or Mirabel??? Good luck with the drs this afternoon; will you have a long wait to be seen?
Well, have appointment to see prosepctive childminder this afternoon, so fingers crossed things will getb sorted today!! Can't beleive they go back to school in a few weeks!!!

novadandypowder · 14/08/2006 14:18

Diege, sorry to say I'm not a fan of Mirabel/belle, but how exciting - another prospective nov 05 baby . Pretty sure beanie is a girl as I conceived 6 days () after bd-ing, and I'm pretty sure it's girl sperm that hang around longer (?).

Rodeo, boo to nasty people breaking into your mums house. We have a panic alarm and a lock in our bedroom, as well as bars on the windows in our house, yet I still live in fear...

hmmm, have forgotten everyone else's news, blame the baby brain.

Rodeo · 14/08/2006 15:05

Afternoon!
Yes Diege, you must make your forenics guy look at the evidence! Good luck with the childminder this afternoon. And Mirabelle, you are funny, wonder how many times it will change over the next year?!
Londoner, good luck at the docs, well I claim to be a bit psychic, I haven't had my 'gift' checked out by reliable sources I do have quite a good track record for guessing sex of babies (and no, not just 50%!) But 6 days after bd-ing does suggest girl Nova. Jess was concieved 5 days before (I was secretly trying for a girl but don't tell dh!) as well as swigging milk and scoffing dairy products (another 'method' for concieving a girl apparently!)
Enough of my ramblings, need to get down the PO, hope the docs wasn't too much of a hassle Londoner. Speak later! x

babyonboard · 14/08/2006 16:46

Hi all!
I had a follow up appointment today, which was interesting, they said it was 'incompetent cervix' which can apparantly be due to hard labour. I certianly didn't have that, and
I am thinking, and maybe wrongly blaming, the manual placenta removal I had.
Sorry if tmi, but I didn't look at the time , but know at one point the surgeon had her entire arm there and was pretty rushed in what she was doing as the labour ward was jam packed.
Could they have caused some damage then?
Oh I don't know what to think.
Sorry for being horribly selfish and me me me with this post, but I kow you ladies are always here to offer a bit of guidance and reassurance.

Diege · 14/08/2006 17:46

Hi everyone! Well, we have a childminder sorted out now, and she seems lovely, so very happy. Just spent £90 on school uniform and shoes , strangely lacks the buzz that other shopping provides!! (though did manage to sneak some m&s undies into the basket .
BOB: don't panic about the incompetent cervix, if this is indeed what you have. I was also diagnosed with this after dd2 was born (they can measure width/length of cervix by a scan)plus I'd had some pretty serious surgery for pre-cancerous cervical cells so cervix wasn;t great. However, once it's diagnosed they scan you really carefully every few weeks, as was my case, and if necessary put a cervical stitch in which keep things 'tight'until 'term'. They have a really high success rate too .
NOVA: don't think Mirabel will be making an appearance any time soon, possibly start to think about ttc this time next year . RODEO: ooh pyschic ; we will be testing out your skill when the babies are due!!
Right, the hell-hour coming up - please no tantrum tonight!!!!

Chully · 14/08/2006 20:28

Thanks for all the comments about the baby sick! I feel a bit better that it's not just me! Londoner, yes Jonty is probably tired when he throws up; in fact, he's probably tired most of the time - Heaven knows, I am! Am no, Londoner and Rodeo, it doesn't trouble him - just me! (He, on the contrary, doesn't seem to notice - I usually find him playing in it!)

I hadn't thought about the whole school-uniform-buying thing. £90 is quite a lot - is that once a year/term/month? So many things to think of all too soon...

...Like the 55 minute tantrum! J has just started yelling and arching his back when he isn't getting what he wants. At 8 months it isn't too bad - not looking forward to a year's time, however!

browniechick · 14/08/2006 20:36

Hey All, and thanks for all your birthday wishes (it's soo nice to have lots of friends )
Evening out on Saturday night was fab! Lots of food, wine and fun was had by all (12 of us in total, which was lovely) also did a bit of disco dancing, so it was a perfect night for me (dh even came up to the club too, which was a real honour for me, as he hates that sort of thing as a rule!)
Had lots of lovely pressies (2 gorg linen tops from Gap in the sale, and a pair of shoes that I wanted - from DH. little T bought me a beautiful card, and the Sound of Music on DVD - hours of fun for me, singing my heart out!!!!!) and lots of money, and vouchers - so I can shop and shop and shop till I can't shop no more !!!! Really fancy a beige or black casual jacket to wear with jeans/trousers etc, and I lurve benefit make up too, so can feel a couple of new items making their way into my make up bag soon .

Saw Grandad today, he is ok and no worse, which is a blessing. Thanks for all the wishes and positive thoughts and prayers - much appreciated.

Had a friend come over yesterday to take a few photos (he did our wedding photos, which blessed me with the most gorgeous picture of myself and my Grandad ) of us and Thomas. He is a lovely guy, and hopefully he got some lovely natural shots - so will post a couple when I get them back. Think he took most in B&W so might be quite Arty?!

Sorry for "Me" post - hope you are all peachy, and are having / had good holidays and weekends.
Lots of love to all of you.
Will speak soon.
Brownie
xx

browniechick · 14/08/2006 20:40

ooh - forgot to say! Baby update (no, am not PG before you all get excited!!!!)
little T is properly crawling now, and is pulling himself up on any furniture or whatever he can grab hold of!!!

Just one question though - when he pulls himself up, his ankles sometimes bend slightly. It worries the heck out of me and makes me feel really funny - does anyone else have this? Or should I be worried about his feet/ankles? It obviously isn't causing him any bother, else he wouldn't do it would he? but I don't like it!!!
TIA

xx

GarfieldsGirl · 14/08/2006 20:46

Hiya.

bob, don't worry about 'me me me posts'. I've seen threads on here about having stitches for this. At least now they know thats the case and can keep a close eye on you in the future.

Chully, Sean tends to play with it too when he's sick, yuck!!!

Diege, so exciting 'living' next door to a forensics guy. I had wanted to return to college to study forensics & criminology, but they only do forensic biology at Portsmouth Uni, and I couldn't be bothered uprooting to Kent.

Have added a file to Yahoo. And as for that nappy, my mum looked after them the other day, and I found that when I took his trousers off, they were holding it on!!! , and he also has a little scratch on his belly from the velcro. She will be having nappy tests next time!

GarfieldsGirl · 14/08/2006 20:49

Hi Brownie, crossposts. Birthday celebrations sound fab, lucky you! Good to hear your grandad isn't any worse, sending you best wishes for him. I don't think the bending onto ankles is anything to worry about, Sean did it all the time, and probably still does if I was to watch him properly.

Beksmum · 15/08/2006 09:57

Hi all sorry no time for a proper catch up at the moment, as things are hectic here and Thomas has been up all night - lovely.

GG can't do the 29th as have booked my car in for MOT & Service - can you make the 30th instead.

Got to go love to all Beks

babyonboard · 15/08/2006 12:49
