Good morning

Wow Nova that sounds interesting! I hope it does some good for you, fingers crossed!

Beks- hooray! (or is it actually good thing!? ) lol. you'll have to get a second pair of eyes in the back of your head now! heehee

Twinkle..bit of a near miss there..lol! It's amazing how fast they can move..O pushed the tv over in our bedroom the other morning!eek.

We had a bit of a drama last night..O almost choked, so scary! he was eating bread and pate and must have just been sucking and condensing the bread as he suddenly went a nasty colour and we realised he was choking. I managed to pull a massive lump of hardened soggy bread out of his throat. Thanks god. DP was thoroughly useless and just went into an arms flailing blind panic..must give him some lessons!

And after I was saying just yesterday about how much there is to worry about when you're a mum!

Off shoe shopping now..woohoo!

Morning girls

Blimey Bob that's a nightmare isn't it. You just think they are doing well with their eating and then they do that to you! Glad O was ok, lol at arm flailing partner

Chacha hope you have a good trip away, enjoy the break and make your dh take care of Zayn at every opportunity.

Brownie happy birthday for this weekend, hope you have a good one.

Twinkle Tom shouts like that too, he is soo loud.

Enthusia lol at Sam crawling yesterday too, think these too have some kind of connection, perhaps we should get them together to play soon.

Nova homeopaths are impressive aren't they, I went went I was suffering pnd with Ben and she sorted out loads of other things too that I didn't even know about.

Chully eek at Jonty trying to walk, I'm glad that Tom has been slow to crawl, I don't even want to consider walking yet.

GG meant to say excellent news about your dp going back to work, it will be good for both of you won't it.

Londoner owww to the biting, I'm a firm believer inbottles from the moment teeth appear, as munchkins are no respecter of pain levels Sounds like you had a nce time away, I'm very .

Well we have the scaffolders here today and I'm going to have some seriously grumpy neighbours when they get home from work as we have had to encroach on their side exit and put on pole in their back garden, needless to say I'm going to go grovelling this evening with wine and flowers, but he in particular is not the happiest and friendliest of blokes at the best of times - why do I get the feeling this conversion is going to be a major pain in the A from day one.

Right best go beore I write a book like usual.

Hello to everyone else Beks

GarfieldsGirl · 11/08/2006 14:30

Oooh, don't you just love laptops, am sat in bedroom with Owen watching Disney, while Sean sleeps off yet another bashed head. The upright bit of the fireplace this time, not sure how he managed that. His new nickname is Lumpyhead!

Congratulations Tom & Sam for crawling, and Jonty, another one trying to get going on those feet, Oh No!!!! But they're so pleased with themselves when they manage it aren't they Chully?

bob - enjoy the shopping, how many pairs of shoes?

Twinkle - lol at Josh crawling backwards, must be very entertaining to watch! Seans another one with a temper on him. Fists clenched, teeth gritted, face bright red!

BEKs - how about the Tuesday 29th August for getting together?

I hope the homeopath has some good results for you nova. And ChaCha, I hope you manage to find something that helps you too, it can't be nice being yucky all the time.

Rodeo · 11/08/2006 16:34

Hi all
Well done Thomas and Sam! And Jonty! They'll be no stopping them now! Have you got your stairgates up? As they'll be up them v.soon too!
Bob, I hate it when they choke, but I try to leave Jess 5 seconds (and not panic or jump to grab her!) because if they relax it comes straight up so a lot of the time she doesn't bat an eyelid. If not then it's an upside-down job! Dp once said that he was choking on a sweet and his mother, while cooking at the time (and not even putting down her utensils!) just calmly said 'Just relax' and he did and it came straight out! She did have 6 children though
Good luck with the homeopath Nova, I read an article not long ago about the use of acupuncture to treat morning sickness. Might be worth a try in case it carries on Yes with you on the Robbie track, I'm not a fan but it is a bit catchy, will slap myself when I catch myself singing it! Although do LOVE the new Kasabian track even though dp hates it! Reminds me of 'Doctor Who-oooo, hey! The Tardis!'
Oh poor Sean GG! Do you think his head may be magnetic?! Bet it feels funny with dh being at work now, how are the kids taking it?
Beks, oooooohhh! Good luck with your neighbour! Rather you than me, that's the kind of thing I hate but I think the thought of it is worse than doing it. I'd be fine with it though if you were my neighbour
Londoner, oh no, had envisaged eating sand but not sand in eyes! I'd not thought of that! Maybe I'll sellotape baby boxing gloves on her hand
Well I've been into town today to get some going out shorts, they're not too short mind, and I am currently on the 'shall I go out/shall I stay in' rollercoaster! Just out with some girlfriends into town but I've changed my mind on the subject so many times! Hmmm, not been out for a while and I've just got the shorts and quite fancy getting glammed up but it's bb eviction night (I know! I'm sad) and I'm not sure if I can muster the energy.....argh! Maybe I'll come home early....or not drink.......oh decisions, decisions
Oh and I've just read Becks has been dropped from the England squad, better not tell Joe, he loves his little Beckham shirt!
Right, speak later x

Rodeo, I had acupunture last time, but it hurt (for someone with tattoos and piercings I hate needles), and I'm not sure how effective it was, so thought I'd try another alternative route this time.

GarfieldsGirl · 11/08/2006 20:37

Just managed to get onto Yahoo, Rodeo, those 'first kisses' pics are sooooo lovely . And get out there girl, I'm sure you'll be able to catch up with BB somewhere!

GarfieldsGirl · 12/08/2006 08:43

Ooh Londoner, I wish you were my mum! I was never allowed hot Ribena when I was ill, apparently its not good for you to have it hot, grrrr! I make up for it now though whnever I'm feeling a little under the weather. Hope ds2 gets over this horrible cough very quickly.

And BEKs, are you sure Red Bull is sold out? My dad wants me to get him a ticket, and its still got the ticket sales bit on the website.

Londoner · 12/08/2006 10:11

GarfieldsGirl · 12/08/2006 16:24

Hi I've just added a few more pics to Yahoo. There are a couple (for limited time only) of pics of Seans nappy (not the contents). He came home from my mums the other day, and that was the state I found it in!

browniechick · 12/08/2006 18:01

Thanks for All Birthday wishes for tomorrow!!! Feel quite honoured to have so many friends - even if I haven't ever met half of them!!!

GG - at state of nappy! Just nipped onto Yahoo to peek at al new photos (gorgeous!) and couldn't believe my eyes at the state of it! Good job he didn't decide to do a big poo explosion hey!!!!! Well done to Owen on bike riding - he looks v cool! and bless poor little lumpy - he is a little action man!

My Grandad is still (currently) with us - not sure how much longer for to be honest - but each day is a blessing . Been to see him again today, so feel glad. Any spare positive thoughts please - all greatfully received. Going to change subject now......

Off out for birthday celebrations tongith - going out for a nice Italian (meal! ) with some friends. Including me and dh think the table is booked for 13 or 14 ! So should be a good night! Going to soak in the bath shortly, then decide what to wear.....

Lots of love and happy smiley thoughts to all - have fab weekends and give all little ones big hugs and kisses!

Brownie

Rodeo · 12/08/2006 19:16

Evening,
Quickie as dh is cooking tea, homemade chicken nuggets with bagettes, a Sat night favourite
I have just about recovered from a major hangover, all my talk of home by midnight and not drinking went, along with my dignity Not touching another drop. Enough of my sillyness........
Have a fab time tonight Brownie! And a lovely day tomorrow, we want full pressie list tomorrow too Love to your grandad
Londoner LOL at your 70's 'health' drinks! I had a craving for Lucozade earlier, to 'make me better'! Is Elizabeth not an evening sleeper either? Is she a late riser? Might just be her way Have a lovely time at the hen day, was it today? When is the big day? How exciting!
GG LOL at nappy! Love the deep in thought picture, you can tell he's going to be a handsome man
Mum rang earlier to say she's been burgled The B%$##!!'s forced the window (while she was in bed) and took her laptop. The forensic team have been round but they were wearing gloves. This is the 3nd time it's happened at various addresses (me and Laura came home one day from school and they'd bolted the front door and locked us out ) So needless to say she's pretty fed up
Oh but she did make me laugh though, you know the family with the children with the strange names she works with? Well she told me they've just had another little girl and called her Blackbird! Wow! Thank goodness it was a girl though because she was going to a boy Sinn Fien ! And they have no Irish connections at all! Unbelievable.....
Anyway, tea is now ready, speak later x x x

Diege · 13/08/2006 12:47

Hi Everyone . Had a great time in Whitby, good fun though very tiring!! Have had a skim through the posts, seems the babies are doing well, with lots of crawling. at your news RODEO, and how awful for your poor mum be3ing burgled too . What a time for you all . Had a chuckle at the baby's names though - 'Blackbird'???? Don't think it's a 'grower'that one!! at the choice for boy!!! at website for your ex too, though had to laugh . So what's your gut feeling then??? Innocent???
Bad luck with the sickness pregnant ladies; NOVA I said same about not going through it again after being rehydrated with dd1, though it's amazing how quickly you forget, considering the effect it has on your life. I found the 'Blooming Awful' website really helpful, esp. the stories of others going through it.
Will have a proper read through posts, just wanted to touch base!!
Speak later!
Diege x

Londoner · 13/08/2006 16:56

Hi all,

Rodeo, so sorry to hear about your poor mum, is she alright? How horrid. Glad to hear she can still laugh though, those names do seem extraordinary! Also glad you went out and let your hair down.
You're right about E being a late sleeper-in, thanks for pointing that out. Hen day was great fun, just hope E doesn't want clotted cream scones and jam every day for 'high tea' lol! Ooh, and home made chicken nuggets in baguettes... YUM!
Speaking of hair, Diege, how is little Libby doing? Good to have you back.
Brownie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you had a fantastic night last night, do let us know all the details won't you! Positve thoughts to you and your Grandad, it sounds like you are very close.
GG, must go and look at Yahoo....

Well, Elizabeth is now a 'cruiser'! Yay! Although she doesn't know how to get down from standing and of course keeps falling down flat onto her back and head, doh! She can say a few things too, like 'Tiger!' for her favourite toy, and 'a cat' and 'titty' for Kitty, and of course Mama and Dada, although she's usually so excited by her dad that his name comes out with 5 syllabuls instead of 2! As in Dadadadada!
Hope you're all having a great Sunday!

tessasmum · 13/08/2006 19:35

We're back too. Have caught up but no chance to post - we REALLY need to get this baby out of the office!

Hope to post more tomorrow.

Londoner · 13/08/2006 19:45

Hi Tessa.

Just been onto look at new photos...
Rodeo, oh, just beautiful beautiful photos, did you just find those?
GG... those are hilarious nappy shots! And fantastic ones of your gorgeous boys, and hey, wait a minute... didn't I almost see you in that picture?

Elizabeth just enjoyed her first chicken curry for tea... minus salt and the hot spices of course but she loved it!``

tessasmum · 13/08/2006 19:47

Beware of tomorrow's nappy Londoner

Londoner · 13/08/2006 20:48

LOL Tessa, oh noo!
How were your hols?

GarfieldsGirl · 13/08/2006 20:49

Happy Birthday Brownie

Rodeo - your poor mum . On a lighter note, though, I did read it as the forensics people wore gloves, duurrrrrr! Took me a while to figure that one out!

Diege & Tessasmum, good to have you both back.

lol Londoner, its very rare that I'm the photographee, usually the photographer!

Chully · 13/08/2006 21:17

GarfieldsGirl, I've just seen the nappy pic - ROFL! What on earth happened?!

And well down to Cruising Elizabeth!! IT all seems to happen so suddenly doesn't it - it seems ages ago that ds was just lying on the floor immobile!

Rodeo, sorry to hear about your mother - at least she wasn't harmed herself! The people who do these things are disgusting!

Brownie, I hope your Grandad is as comfortable and pain-free as the medical people can make him.

Now here's a question - does anyone else's LO puke regularly? IT sounds daft, but it's driving me nuts. DS has always been a 'sicky' baby, but honestly, it's getting worse. He'll cheerfully chuck up several times a day; it doesn't seem to make any difference what he's eaten or how long afterwards - although the most common link is at some point after milk (although sometimes he doesn't throw up after milk, so it's not consistent). The HV helpfully said that it's a 'phase' and that he'll grow out of it, and it should get better once he's more upright. Well, he's been cruising for several weeks, and is upright at least half the time now, so that clearly isn't true! Is this normal? I'm fed up with smelling of sick, and having to shampoo my carpets every other day!

Anyway, better go and sort out food for him to chuck up tomorrow...
