He couldn’t have been voted in without the support of women. As a non-Trump fan myself, I’m wondering what is it you like about him? This applies to non-US voters who favour him and would vote for him if possible.

They're absolute weirdos. They usually believe in the death penalty, women and children dying through forced birth and love guns even though they kill tens of thousands of people including children.

I think younger conservatives are embracing abortion, so we will end up being pro-choice, pro-gun and pro death penalty. Harsh but fair. It seems a very American stance tbh

Haven't RTFT but am pleased and relieved he won. Why?

The Dems are deeply infected by the woke trans ideology and Critical Race Theory/DEI. It is extremely damaging for women and children to promote the idea that any man can self ID as woman and invade all women's and girls single sex spaces and sports. DEI promotes mediocrity and is deeply racist. Trump will deal with these ideological beliefs and begin to reverse the damage done. He will reinstate border controls, very important to any country. We only want people who apply legitimately to become citizens. We have a right to vet them all. These the are main reasons.

Enjoy your national abortion ban, morning after pill ban, and restricted access to contraceptives.

'your body, my choice' is a slogan you'll be seeing a lot more of.

Please show Trump promoting any of those positions. He had not.

He ruled out a national abortion ban, which in fact cost him votes among the Christian right.

Please. I’m begging you to find anything that Trump has said that supports what you are saying here. Because I think you’ll find that you can’t …

These are all stated aims of Project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation and they absolutely will try to put them in place. Trump won't care, he just wants to be President.

Did you believe Kavanaugh when he said Roe v Wade was settled precedent right before he voted it down?

Christian Nationalism is the real agenda for the next 4 years. Trump is just the means to the end.

So … he’s only saying it inside your head. Ok.

I never said Trump said those things. The Heritage Foundation is saying those things, they are the ones who will try to introduce them.
I'm saying Trump won't care or try to stop them.

They are a think tank, nobody elected them at all. Nobody who was elected into federal office has mentioned an abortion ban, definitely NEVER said anything about banning Plan B or contraception.

Do you like making up straw men in your spare time?

Nearly two-thirds of the authors and editors of Project 2025 served in the previous Trump administration.

The Washington Post reported on regular communication between Project 2025 and Trump campaign advisers. In April 2024, Project 2025 senior advisor John McEntee said that they and the Trump campaign planned to "integrate a lot of our work".

Keep your head in the sand if you want.

Again, nobody elected them and nobody campaigned on national abortion bans or restricting access to contraceptives.

Nobody is going to write or promote any such law. But go ahead and keep stuffing that straw man.

What are you talking about? The people promoting it have closed ties to Trump and his campaign, and some will likely be in his cabinet.

Trump's campaign team literally said their plans align with that of Trump's plans

@LoveSandbanks because it’s babies. Think about it - if you genuinely think an unborn child is a child, then he or she comes before everything. And yes they will come before the woman carrying them - even if they circumstance is distressing for the woman. Many women would die for their child. The baby always comes first. And I can sympathise with this view, even if I do not agree with it in reality.

I personally find late term abortion extremely difficult and although I wouldn’t call myself pro life, I’m increasingly finding it hard to call myself 100% pro choice when I realise this would include late term abortions. There are points where I think yep, the baby actually has to come first. Unless the woman is actually going to die, at 30 weeks the baby shouldn’t have to. I am conflicted about this of course and I know it is said with privilege.

Edited

Interesting. I appreciate that they see the foetus the same as a full grown baby, even less than one week in. But don't they have ANY sympathy, at least, for the bodily violation of going through labour and pregnancy when you don't want that? Let alone the bodily violation that a rape victim who did not want to carry a pregnancy to term would feel, in cases of rape?

Someone else I saw said ‘why would I vote for the party that criminals, ‘illegal’ immigrants and drug addicts vote for’. Oh and a lot fear of how gender is being taught in schools. Again, it’s just so extreme over there. I am pro gay rights but this woman was showing gay books for BABIES. It was so extreme. So I can totally see why a lot of right wingers see it as grooming. And then homophobia increases. People are scared and poor and crime is high. And they’re angry at the establishment.

Sorry, what do you mean by a 'gay book'? A book w a character who incidentally had 2 mums or 2 dads?

Or something talking about sexuality? That is wrong obvs

Why are you pro death penalty, if I may ask?

Nothing.
