The entire world's movers and shakers, swindlers and fakers, public money piss-takers will be watching in trepidation at what Trump will do to them. The entire world's great and the good, high and the mighty, shifty and flighty will be supporting Hillary. Will you be with the people supporting Trump?

Have you got the ice cream, the chocolate, the biscuits and the matchsticks to keep the eyelids open ready?

As a warm-up, here is Sky News's 30 minute documentary shown last night

"Trump. Could it really happen?"

Well my record for staying up to watch live US tv isn't great but I'm giving it a go! Grin So far I've managed to the half time show at the Super Bowl so I should still be awake by the end of this with coffee and Pringles.
I'm wondering if Trumps media advisors (if he has any) have managed to rein him in a bit, he can't go much further just by being a scrapper - he's going to have to start to appear statesman like to win over any undecideds and Voters who just don't like Clinton. They won't vote for someone who is going to end up getting told 'no Sir that start world war 3' time and again for his first 100 days..

Creatureofthenight · 26/09/2016 23:01

No because
A- I've got to get up at half six for work
B- if I watch Trump speak for more than 30 seconds I'll have to throw a heavy object at the TV.

WinchesterWoman · 26/09/2016 23:02

It will be a good one:) nevertheless I'm going to bed.

NowThatsClosureJen · 26/09/2016 23:07

I don't have sky. Gutted as I would love to be able to watch it on catch up tomorrow!

WinchesterWoman · 26/09/2016 23:11

It's on BBC news channel as well

coldcanary · 26/09/2016 23:13

OFGS I thought it started at 11 our time - Fox isn't even starting to cover it till 1.50!! That will be a no then, I'll watch it on catch up in the morning. I have to get up at 6.45..

RTKangaMummy · 26/09/2016 23:39

It is in channel 4 too

GeekyWombat · 27/09/2016 01:42

I'm watching (CNN) with popcorn and beer. Husband is in bed so I shall be keeping an eye on this thread for ranting / moral support. Who else is up?

AppleMagic · 27/09/2016 01:46

I'm up. But it's on at 8pm here.

Canyouforgiveher · 27/09/2016 01:47

this about sums it up for me

Trump vs Clinton. Biggest debate in world history 2am tomorrow. Will you be there?
GeekyWombat · 27/09/2016 01:56

That cartoon is brilliant... And does sum up the potential horror.

IminaPickle · 27/09/2016 01:56

It's in Radio 4/ world service 🙌🏻👯
I'm going to go down make a cup of tea and watch a couple of minutes and back to bed!

SenecaFalls · 27/09/2016 02:00

Nine o'clock here. It's just starting.

BelfastBloke · 27/09/2016 02:04

Nate Silver, who accurately predicted every state result in the last few presidential elections, says it's effectively a dead heat going into this debate.

RTKangaMummy · 27/09/2016 02:05

I am in UK so it is 2am and so not sure if I will make it all the way to the end

Glad no adverts even on Channel 4 although I have decided BBC1

BelfastBloke · 27/09/2016 02:08

CNN seems to be the only channel which has a constant split-screen, showing both candidates all the time.

HomeShapedBox · 27/09/2016 02:11

I'm currently on holiday in Florida, sat with a nice cold drink watching the debate

sailawaywithme · 27/09/2016 02:17

Sitting here watching it.

claig · 27/09/2016 02:22

Hi everyone. Trump storming ahead already. What has she done for the last 30 years? Brilliant.

I'm watching it on Fox.

Now he’s talking and shouting over the moderator. He’s out of control. “She’s been fighting ISIS her entire adult life”? What is he talking about?

claig · 27/09/2016 02:35

'“She’s been fighting ISIS her entire adult life”? What is he talking about?'

He is sending out a signal to the audience. How come they can't sort Isis out over all these years? E verybody knows Trump will do it in weeks. What is up that she and her mates can't?

OP posts:
claig · 27/09/2016 02:38

Wow. Trump got her big time. She keeps saying her email thing "was a mistake". That is probably advice on her nerd handlers. But Trump cut through the spin by simply saying "that wasn't a mistake. It was deliberate" and there were no wonks on stage to help her.

I wish the moderator would let Clinton fight her own battles.
