The entire world's movers and shakers, swindlers and fakers, public money piss-takers will be watching in trepidation at what Trump will do to them. The entire world's great and the good, high and the mighty, shifty and flighty will be supporting Hillary. Will you be with the people supporting Trump?

Have you got the ice cream, the chocolate, the biscuits and the matchsticks to keep the eyelids open ready?

As a warm-up, here is Sky News's 30 minute documentary shown last night

"Trump. Could it really happen?"

MM is trying, rightly, to convince people that Trump is a danger.
It doesn't mean he really thinks Trump has won.

claig · 27/09/2016 17:14

'MM is trying, rightly, to convince people that Trump is a danger. '

Absolutely. He is trying to get the Hillary suporters to realise it is nowhere near over and they have to vote. But the Democrat strategists said the same last night. They thought they won, but they said it is not over and will be very close in the end.

See Scott Adams thoughts

claig · 27/09/2016 17:22

Thanks, WinchesterWoman. Scott Adams is the absolute best.

Clinton won on points. She had more command of the details and the cleaner answers. Trump did a lot of interrupting and he was defensive. If this were a college debate competition, Clinton would be declared the winner. I call that victory on the 2D chess board. But voters don’t care about facts and debating style. They care about how they feel. So let’s talk about that.
...
Trump was defensive, and debated poorly at points, but he did not look crazy. And pundits noticed that he intentionally avoided using his strongest attacks regarding Bill Clinton’s scandals. In other words, he showed control. He stayed in the presidential zone under pressure. And in so doing, he solved for his only remaining problem. He looked safer.

By tomorrow, no one will remember what either of them said during the debate. But we will remember how they made us feel.

Clinton won the debate last night. And while she was doing it, Trump won the election. He had one thing to accomplish – being less scary – and he did it."

Talking about Bill Clinton's indiscretions is a vote loser for Trump and he knows it. It humanises her. Plus it is entirely hypocritical on his part when he is known to have been a serial cheat.

claig · 27/09/2016 18:17

'Talking about Bill Clinton's indiscretions is a vote loser for Trump and he knows it. It humanises her. '

Yes, that is why he said he didn't do it because of Chelsea in the audience etc. He probably doesn't need to bring up much against Hillary, unless she surges in the polls in the coming weeks. Hillary's people will continue hitting Trump ruthlessly and unless he fights back, he may stumble. It is difficult.

If he mentions Bill's indiscretions, Hillary would pick on Don's own indiscretions, which are much more relevant to this election. Possibly the rape accusations too.
He better keep his mouth shut in that respect.

claig · 27/09/2016 18:33

Trump's indiscretions are minor in comparison to the Clintons. Trump has all of the women ready to tell the full story but he hasn't given the go-ahead yet.

OP posts:
claig · 27/09/2016 18:36

Roger Stone said all the women were ready to appear at Trump rallies etc and that there was no way the mainstrem media would be able to help Hillary by covering it up, but they have not gone ahead with it and may have changed their minds.

OP posts:
AppleMagic · 27/09/2016 18:44

Trump makes only himself look bad by giving any time to Bill Clinton's OW. Even if he did not have a history of cheating on his own wives it would be a terrible strategy.

Auti · 27/09/2016 18:49

Two establishment cronies put on a show, nothing to see here move along.

claig · 27/09/2016 18:50

Apple, you are right.

Ah! Was looking for your thread, Claig! Lester basically tried his hardest to make HC win. The public, as usual, did not buy into that narrative and voted firmly for Trump in the post debate polls. Only the MSM is calling HC the winner. In some twisted way, Lester made Trump look better. :)

takesnoprisoners · 27/09/2016 18:54

Auti: Trump is far far far removed from the establishment. He has no lobbies to fulfill promises to and no big donors to keep happy. HC on the other hand...

wiltingfast · 27/09/2016 18:54

Minor? He had 5 children by 3 women, one of whom had accused him of rape on affidavit!

Not surprised he's not opening that can of worms....

WinchesterWoman · 27/09/2016 18:57

Lester Holt handed the debate to Donald Trump - I'm afraid Clinton supporters should know this. The media should learn their lessons. If they hand him enough rope he could hang himself. But if they put it round his neck and kick the chair away, he has all the underdog status that got him here in the first place.

claig · 27/09/2016 19:02

'In some twisted way, Lester made Trump look better. '

Yes, they showed their hand. The Establishment, Hillary etc, Goliath against Trump's David. But the 20% undecideds and don't cares are the only ones who count now and they probably only watched the first 30 mminutes when Trump won.

One insider who knows the Clintons and worked for them a long time ago says that now Trump will be hit by a tornado the likes of which we have never seen, which is why he has to also go on the offence. The media, the polls, the whole nine yards will be turned on Trump in the closing phase.

OP posts:
claig · 27/09/2016 19:14

Roger Stone is on Channel 4 News now and has said it is not about Bill's sexual infidelties, it is about much, much more than that and the women will be heard. So it may still all come out.

OP posts:
WinchesterWoman · 27/09/2016 19:20

Claig I think this is why the Clinton campaign has been a little subdued and not on the attack. They are waiting until the last minute. Also the massive campaign to get overseas voters who it's thought will be more likely to vote for Clinton.

AppleMagic · 27/09/2016 19:23

That's the only way Trump can use these women in his campaign though, Claig. He has to keep insinuating that they have shocking revelations to make without actually ever getting them to make them.

claig · 27/09/2016 19:24

Yes, this insider type who is a real dirty tricks type that they all use says that what happens in electionsis that the don't cares and undecideds are essentially followers and they make up their minds in the last week of an election and they take their cue from the last poll (which of course is rigged the way the Establishment wants it), which is obviously the usual last Brexit poll type stuff in order to try and get that final vote. So the really big events and reveals and shockers come near the end when the Establishment get desperate.

Showmethewaytogohome · 27/09/2016 19:25

I must say Claig your consistent posting since 2am shows your presidential like stamina or tag team wink wink

We are here again and now with Trump. Whilst ultimately I actually believed that against the UK's better judgement it would vote to leave I really think Trump will not win but the reason is far to nuanced to lay out here.

Nice to see the authoritarian fans are all on board - reminds me of those hazy days pre Brexit vote. Oh we had fun (no most of us sane people didn't and still don't)

Look lets just lay it out here. The Donald is a sexist racist lying bigot who most people with an ounce of decency wouldn't ahem 'piss on if he was on fire'. An awful example of a human being who was clearly bought up in his millionaire daddys home as a spoilt narcissistic bully

I feel sorry for his children, his wives, America and the world that he breathes the same air us

Anyone who wants this slug to be leader of the free world is showing their true colours. Shame on you

WinchesterWoman · 27/09/2016 19:27

Bill Clinton's victims are not significant because he assaulted they. They're significant because she enabled the assaults, covered up for him and sought to damage and silence the women.

Otherwise it's sexist to say she bears the burden of her husband's guilt. However in this specific history, there's a good deal of evidence that she does.

claig · 27/09/2016 19:27

'He has to keep insinuating that they have shocking revelations to make without actually ever getting them to make them.'

Good point, Apple.

Roger Stone is another dirty tricks type Republican and was on Channel 4 News just now. He has been saying all along that everything will come out, but it looks like Trump's inner circle advisers have put the kaibosh on that and are not prepared to go there.
