(Incredibly childish) BBM sneakily makes part 3 thread and places Sandy's flag at the top for a second time.

(Flag is made from organic cotton and has been dry pailed and washed at 40C)

BBM What's so good about Organic nappies anyway, I vote you just put a pre-washed unbleached cotton Sandy's up and stop showing off!

I have realised that it is absolutely killing me not having matching wet bag and wipes . Every time I go upstairs and see the tatty old pieces of fleece I've got it makes me die a little bit inside.

Must. Stop. Being. A. Weirdo!

No, I can't do it! I have to get some nice looking wipes!

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 30/10/2008 20:08

lollipop - It's all ilovemydogs fault! She tipped me off about the organic Sandy's - they really do seem more absorbant and certainly have stayed softer for longer than the white ones I have (I wanted unbleached but begger's can't be choosers I guess ). Bamboo version is lovely and soft and thin though eh? Happy wipe hunting!

myjobismum - welcome . 1mm to PT is quite a bit of experience! What nappies are you using? Congratulations on the new arrival.

ilmd - actually I was head girl at school

MatNanPlus - I believe you asked about which folds we folders use?
I have always used the bat/origami fold, from when he was small and in muslins, up until 23 weeks, but I am now trialling the kite fold, as the origami fold was getting a little tight.

I have a Bumble for night times, and am going to buy a few more, what can I use to boost them? I was thinking of buying actual boosters, what are your faves?

xx

lollipopmothershalloweenghost · 30/10/2008 20:27

BBM My unbleached Sandy's are sooo much nicer than the white ones, but then the white ones were pre-loved where as the unbleached were just pre-washed. When buying Sandy's if it doesn't say 'Organic' then is it bamboo, or just normal cotton? I've seen the Organic ones about but they're more expensive.

lollipopmothershalloweenghost · 30/10/2008 20:28

Arrgh, I've fallen in love with a cerise pink wet bag with sheep on it, but can't find matching coloured wipes OR the fleece material to make my own anywhere. DYING INSIDE!!

BBM didn't want to steal your thunder

ILMD nowt wrong with Napisan & Vanish

WME ty. current job has (Bambino Mio) prefolds but as a child mum used kite terrys, it was my job to fold them the bat looks hard in terry. Have found that the Tots Bots PUL Aplix wrap much nicer than the BM wrap.

LM post a link to bag so we can get a better idea of search parameters please

Welcome MJIM

Hey 4&NO how is it going? Anymore crappy MW visits?

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 30/10/2008 20:44

Hello 4 - hows things?

lollipop - yep label will state either bamboo or organic, if it says neither it's just ordinary cotton. The organic are more expensive - I think usually the same as the bamboo. They take less time to dry but aren;t as thin - I'm sure they are more absorbant than the ordinary though...can't explain why.

My longies arrived today. DS had his 3rd lot of vaccs this afternoon so I'm not going to put him in them tonight - can't wait to try them though but I think it might have to wait until the weekend as I have a long car journey followed by a big meeting tomorrow- I'd rather not push them too far on the first trial and have a leaky wrap in the middle of a meeting! They are sooooo soft though - they look so comfy. They are from this maker but I picked up some on ebay at a bargain price

Oh yes, fold-wise we are a bat fold household here . I love the way it comes together - very clever and works well for us.

Usually for us it's Sandy's and fuzzis for DS and Ellas House Day Nappies for DD2. Night nappies are bumhuggers and bumbles. That said we do a lot of experimenting here -I think tomoorow we will be going for Lollipop bamboo for DS too. Airflow wraps all the way.

returnofrusmummy · 30/10/2008 21:45

lollipop may buy used kissaluvs if that ok??

FullMoonHowler · 30/10/2008 21:54

yes, the bamboo sandy's I think are similar to organic looking wise, silver whale and cream color with yellow stitching, and it says it's bamboo on the label. very soft even here in hard water and line/next to radiator dried. quite slim, though hard to say atm as they are still very comfy for dd. only had xs white cotton, so can't really compare the two... very absorbent!

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 30/10/2008 22:10

The bamboo have yellow stitching and the organic have light brown but on a photo it is hard to tell the difference between the two. Would be interesting to do an absorbancy check on all three types - I have them all here but toooooooo busy atm
