maybe i am shallow but my ambition is to be a yummy mummy!!

since day 1 i have showered and washed hair then blowed dried it and had make up on from day 1 too.

thankfully was back in jeans in 3 weeks though still trying to work out how to lose mummy tummy - am same weight as before pg but tummy looser.

wear jeans and high heels every day unless i am going for long walk then change to MBTs. always wear outfit i wouldnt be embarrassed inif someone calls to visit.

go to mother and baby group, baby swimming and baby massage. have lunch once a week with mummy friends and sometimes coffee on other days too.

finally drive an X5 though had that since before i got pg.

anyone beat that??

expatinscotland · 12/01/2008 22:48

Arabella, how can you say we take ourselves seriously when all we do is rip the pish oops block out underclass word piss out of ourselves and each other?

Maidamess · 12/01/2008 22:49

I think she thinks you are taking her a bit too seriously.

I think you are fragrant expat - much better word than Yummy - no connotation of dimwittedness in fragrant, is there?

PeachesMcLean · 12/01/2008 22:52

Well if you're charity fundraisers and describing your jobs in that condescending way I'll be cross.

expatinscotland · 12/01/2008 22:53

I whiff of sweat and YSL Paris .

That fucking Karen Voigt! That bitch can dance. I keep forgetting that.

'Now let's do the combo! Step, hop, turn, turn, over the step, to the left . . .'

Fuck you, you're my old ballet teacher!

OverMyDeadBody · 12/01/2008 22:59

You inspire me expat, in so many ways. I've written that qoute down, thanks!

sparklygothkat · 12/01/2008 22:59

I wear makeup every day, even the day after I had DS2. There is pics on my profile and some MNetters couldn't believe I had given birth 3 days before. but I don;t brag!! Its not a nice thing, you know, bragging!!

LynetteScavo · 12/01/2008 23:00

This has been the best theread I've come across in ages. I'd been thinking how dull MN had become.

Thankyou MA.

expatinscotland · 12/01/2008 23:02

Karen made me feel about 2 inches tall today, Quattro, but I'm coming back for more tomorrow after my hike .

For her 'Just Arms' sequence. More like, 'Just let me die now'.

Besides, Arabella, you know, men dig sweaty chicks .

cherryredretrochick · 12/01/2008 23:03

I agree, cheered up a dull sat night, also I always where make up, my mum told me when I was in Hospital with pre eclampsia they would be more likley to let me go home if I wore make up and looked OK.

Desiderata · 12/01/2008 23:04

Forgive me if I'm mistaken, expat, but it looks like you've turned a rather crucial corner

LynetteScavo · 12/01/2008 23:04

sparklygothcat, that is the most amazing baby smile I have ever seen!!!!! (apart from my own babies, of course!)

expatinscotland · 12/01/2008 23:05

Let's hope so, Des! Good to see you back!

PussinJimmyChoos · 12/01/2008 23:06

So, OP states her ambition is to be a Yummy Mummy....who actually decides whether someone is worthy of that 'acolade' (sp!)

For what its worth, I've only ever really heard the term 'Yummy Mummy' used in a piss taking manner, so how is it something to aspire to? I also frequently refer to someone I know in RL (not any Mnetters I've met btw!) as Alpha Mummy and quite frankly, I'm not being charitable....

sparklygothkat · 12/01/2008 23:07

he does have an amazing smile

expatinscotland · 12/01/2008 23:07

Isn't a yummy mummy just a euphemism for a MILF?

The latter seems more honest.

Quattrocento · 12/01/2008 23:08

ooh Puss are you a yummy mummy - thinking of your jimmies and all that?

cherryredretrochick · 12/01/2008 23:10

My DD2 actually has a top[that says my mummy is a yummy mummy. bit chav but i love it was a pressie from my friend.

Desiderata · 12/01/2008 23:10

Ah, it wasn't a deliberate rebuff, expat. I keep losing my internet connection, so it forces me to give up.

Also, little boy is now three plus 2, and he's a little challenging. God damn his gorgeous spirit, but he's taking up more of my time.

Fresh air, girl. That's the stuff of life. That's what living is.
