Afternoon. Errm, slight wench cock-up with the last thread, hope you all find this.

It's been chucking it down all day and I got wet doing a Lidl shop. Also had a standoff at the local Boots when I went to collect a parcel and she said they were shut for lunch, at 12 o'clock! In times past I would have meekly walked away but I stood my ground and she fetched it in the end.

No let up all day in the rain. Dark and miserable. Definitely Big Coat from tomorrow, and possibly also gloves.

The day was spent trying to correct the mistakes of people who get paid considerably more than I do but who have done fairly slipshod work/got what they were doing totally wrong.

Got in, sorted a wash, put it in the machine. Wondered why I’d not heard it spinning about an hour later. Does help if you actually switch it on and set it going.

It's been rain and wind all day - thoroughly miserable. DS went out for sporty stuff and got rather damp. I stayed indoors Agreed on winter weather gear.

Work was work-ish, though I've just picked up a bunch of emails that I've been waiting for, so that will keep me busy tomorrow. FFS at your work LetUs Glad you managed to get hold of your parcel Apricot.

Morning all. Still wet and miserable outside, though I could see a patch of blue sky to the east earlier, and it's definitely brighter than yesterday.

Today is... work. be still my beating heart, etc etc (though not really, because work's not so bad I'd rather be dead). But anyway, nothing remotely exciting is planned. I have cleaned up the remains of something (probably a mouse) and will need to do the taxi run.

I’ve done bugger all today but eBay are scrapping fees on all listings for private sellers from today so that will motivate me to sort some stuff out. It was just clothing before but it’s everything except motor now.

In other good news DGS has got a seat on the school coach so that excuses us from school run duties.

I didn't before I posted Helen but after Went to the dermatology clinic at the hospital today and been thoroughly groped by the doctor. I'm now on antibiotics and in the near future I will start with biological anti inflammatory medication that I have to inject myself And I probably will have to do surgery again. Feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment.

Good news on the school bus Apricot - that's a relief. I saw the ebay thing as well. I might reactivate my selling account (if I can be bothered with the faff of postage etc).

My day has been exactly as expected, so nothing exciting.

Am also impressed with letus not yet having got the gloves out - mine were out last week. Speaking of winter clothing, I managed to track down the coat I saw when mooching round the shops with helen on my last visit. Not sure an online outlet store is much of an outlet store when the item is only £5 cheaper than full price, but hey, it's probably a decade since I last bought a winter coat, so bugger the cost.

A very dull day here too helen. There was some drama this morning in my department, but before I got in, so I even managed to miss that <sighs>

Chonk & Floof are slowly forgiving me for flea treating them on Sunday probably because it's cold & Chonk likes an evening snuggle to warm up Still getting 👀& any wrong move on my part & they jump a mile.

Afternoon. A much brighter day, the sun made an appearance this afternoon. I haven’t been outside so don’t know what the temperature is like but it’s chilly indoors without the heating.

DH has made a start on painting the front of the house, so he’s up ladders and his version of ‘scaffolding’.

I think we had a bit of sunshine today too. DS2 managed to (unwittingly) time getting out of college to coincide with when I was about to drive past so I was able to pick him up and we did the shopping straight away. And it was quite painless too, even though he does walk a few feet behind me so he doesn’t have to be seen with me 😁

They grump if you do wake them Helen, grump if you don’t. Is very much a thankless task isn’t it?

We’ve got scaffolding up at the moment so DH took the opportunity to go up and clean the gutters. i thought of MrApricot whilst he was up there 😁

We've been at a college open evening this week, which I remembered with half an hours to go before we had to leave. Phew! Was interesting, They're certainly making all the right noises. It does mean it's been rather a late night - we did a supermarket shop on the way home and picked up a takeaway.
