Oooo, a bidding war Fancy, how exciting. I once had an old camera which sold for a ridiculous amount and I was screaming as we watched the bids come in at the end. DH said “Shut up, the neighbours will think I’m beating you up”. I usually do Buy-it-Now unless it’s something I’m not sure of the value of. Have a lovely evening.

We’ve had rain most of the day so roof will be finished tomorrow, weather permitting but the forecast is good so I’m hopeful.

Evening all. Weather was variable here - small amount of sun, but mostly clouds with additional rain. IdiotKitty is most batshit about it all put out.

Um... BoringOfficeJob was busy - more number-crunching and I had to explain a fairly complicated set to someone, who then asked for more details. So I looked into more details and found that numbers weren't adding up, and a general SANFU (or course I did), so the next session of BoringOfficeJob will involve me trying to sort out said SNAFU (which I created. FML, etc).

Morning all. Bin chaos here - they reversed the route and turned yup before I'd filled the bin. Fortunately I flagged them down on the way back and lobbed my sack in. Then I did the taxi thing, came home and hit the stepper to get myself nicely energised for the day... I just feel like curling up and sleeping. Is it too early for a hot chocolate? I

Other than that, it's grey and cloudy and damp. Hope that NewSystemHell is a bit better today LetUs.

Afternoon. Nice day if a bit chilly. You’ll be pleased to know that the painting is finished.

My glasses have returned from their holiday! I always leave spare glasses on the dressing table in DD’s old room and I had looked on the floor but there’s a stool underneath which has a back to it and you can’t see what’s on it unless you pull it out, so I pulled it out and there they were. I think a certain feline may know something about it. Strangely I’ve been to the opticians this morning, had an eye test and ordered some new glasses. I’ll have a plentiful supply now.

Hope the roof is finished LetUs, and Helen has managed to sort out the work problem.

DS2 would say it’s never too early for a hot chocolate. He treats it as a year round drink.

More training today but I think that’s the last one. My brain does not take things on like it used to. I’m hoping that once it all goes live and we get to actually use it, it will become clear. Hopefully.

IKR - I've been freezing in the field over the road for an hour! Awesome though, actual visible-to-the-naked-eye colour! (Though obviously much more impressive via the camera because... witchcraft?!)

What amazing photos! I managed to get the faintest glimmer of a purple haze <nto> above a tree but nothing else. DS1’s girlfriend sent me an amazing photo from theirs though, about 15 miles from us.

I've been sorting through our filing cabinets today and trying to have a chuck out and up-date of various records. It's ridiculous how much rubbish you collect over the years.

Sounds like you have the same filing system as me LetUs - it just piles up and then eventually you sort through months worth of bills and statements. I can managed work paperwork fine - all filed and neat. But mine? Nope.

We have no plans other than monitor the teenage horde and general house stuff. Washing is on, and hopefully it will stay dry, but I haven't seen a forecast, so... <shrug>
