DS managed to buy new trainers - hurrah - another little step on the independence scale! Work was very workish and full of spreadsheets and mind-bending number crunching. The weather has been nice though - what I've seen of it!

Said it’s going to be 16° with a breeze today so I am hopeful of getting washing dry outside. That will probably be the highlight of the day. Other than that, is just housework and errands.

Morning all. Am feeling a bit woolly-headed, due to a lie-in I suspect. I don't think we're expecting 16 degrees here - it's looking to dull and grey for that. Still - no windy/rainy nonsense at the moment, so that's good.

Intelligent can has moved from lying on top of me in bed, to lying on my lap on the sofa, so she's made her plans for the day quite cleat. I will have to turf her off shortly because I'd like some breakfast,

Highlight of the day was going to get our flu jabs and my arm hurts already. It never seems to affect DH. He’s still up the ladder, which won’t get to step stool level as it’s only the top half of the house, the bottom half is brick.

Lots to do today, Second day of DS at SportingCompetition which I really want to get to (they'll have started by now), more kitchen shenanigans<nlt> are needed though I have at least cleared the desks and frozen/fridged all of yesterday's efforts, and I want to try and get a bit of work done because I know I have a big job coming up imminently, and would liek to clear the desks a bit work-wise too.

I think the plan it to ditch and kitchen stuff, and take my laptop to Sporting.

Afternoon. Very dull and dismal here. Rain stopped play painting at lunchtime. He doesn't like being asked how long a job will take but I would say he's about half-way.

We had rain too Apricot. Hopefully it will stay away for both of us as we have roofers starting work tomorrow.

Haven’t done much today. Am watching a programme about Ludwig II of Bavaria and some of the castles he had built. Let’s say his taste was not on the minimalist side of things.

I only managed one load yesterday, am feeling like a slacker! I did restart listing some stuff on eBay though and also Freecycled one thing, so not too bad a day.

Have done a bit of gardening, got rained on. Otherwise have been continuing the Maggie Smith homage - she really was the best bit of Downton Abbey!

Evening all. We avoided the rain here until this evening, though it was cloudy for most of the day.

DS came away with a handful of medals and prizes, so a good weekend's work there. He also came away rather bruised and battered after many attempted backflips - stubborn child. Work was also rather unproductive - the simple job turned out to be a lot faffier and I needed to get into systems that I couldn't log into. So that was a pain.

Absolute LOL at the picture Fancy - KillerKitty likes to bring stuff in, but is pretty good (if we catch him at it) about being herded out the back door again with his mouthful of mouse.

Other than that, no washing has been done - there will be a pile to be done tomorrow though.

Fingers crossed for roofing and painting work progressing well next week!

Never mind thoughts and prayers - chocolate and vodka sound more useful LetUs On the subject and 'thoughts and prayers' I've managed to lose a pair of glasses. I went out to do the chickens last night and thought, 'oooh, it's raining, won't leave my glasses on top of my head then...' I have no idea what I did with them - I've even gone as far as checking the fridge next to the back door. FFS, at least they weren't my new ones. DH was all "Are you sure you were wearing them?" to which the answer is yes, or I wouldn't have been able to cook tea (recipe-reading was needed). It's bloody irritating.

Why is it Monday? Whyyyyyy??!!

Afternoon. Oh dear, unfortunately it is WW, it will soon be over though. Nice day, not cold. I went to the garden centre earlier with DD. She bought two pairs of shoes (they have a shoe department) and I bought some cat litter. I know how to get my priorities right. Painting is on-going here.

Oooooh Helen I’ve lost a pair of glasses too. They’re old ones, but I use them for the computer. They were here when we went to the caravan last, I didn’t take them with me and I haven’t seen them since we got back. Well done to MiniHelen.

Hope the roofing and the new IT system training are going well Letus or at least as well as can be expected.

Roofers have made excellent progress and should be done by tomorrow. Have been lucky in that it’s only rained when there’s been a roof on!

A rather boring day all round really, can't think of anything interesting to say about it!

Tomorrow is better, am off out in the evening for pizza with a couple of friends I met when our DC were in primary school together. Should be good as they are both lovely and very easy company. Also have a Teams meeting with DSis & various official sorts about parents in the daytime.

Am getting most excited as one of my items listed on Ebay actually has some bids. Plural. So I will get more than 99p for it 😁Have also got a Freecycle collection due tomorrow, I need to keep this decluttering momentum up....

Also not much to report here. I'm having a 'what do I take for lunch tomorrow' crisis because we ran out of bread (DS is taking the last of it). I have soup, but nothing that reliably seals to carry it in. Hmmmm. 1st world problems etc.

Oh - I found my glasses in a coat that I'd already looked in. So they've been way with Apricot's and just got back. Or the matrix had a glitch. Or I just had multiple shite looks for them on Sunday. FFS.
