Anyway, hurrah for tennis last night - it was a bit of a win/win situation, since if Williams/Murray didn't win, then it was a British pair who went through, so yay! Less Yay was that I spent the second half of the match watching with my foot up with an icepack on, since I went down to the very bottom of the garden, climbed on a chair, and then stepped off it onto rough ground went right over on my ankle. My first thought was 'bugger, my phone is in the house- no calling for help for me'. So I sort of hopped/shuffled my way up using the garden chair as a rather bulky zimmer frame. I don't think there's much harm done - it was ok to walk on by the time I hobbled up for a bath, and it's a bit achy this morning, but walkable.

Oh Helen, poor you, hope it gets better quickly. I sprained my ankle in a nightclub in Ibiza once, and it ruined the rest of the holiday as I couldn't walk.

We have sunshine but it’s still bloody windy.

I love the “sprained my ankle in a nightclub in Ibiza” (obviously not the part where it ruined the holiday). I like to think this was about five years ago and Apricot was having it large in Ibiza.

Lazarus Project is indeed a bit weird, lots of time travel/hopping but I’ve decided to not try to always weigh up where it’s up to and just go with it.

Work was blah, hygienist after work went okay. Tennis and knitting now though.

Evening. Ankle is much better thank you. A bit sore but clearly not sprained (phew). It stayed hot and sunny here, not very windy though. Have been very knackered today. Not helped by DH not shutting the door properly last night, so I was woken at 4:45am by a yowling cat upstairs. DH slept through that of course I shunted both cats back downstairs and fed them, then crawled back to bed.

Stuff probably happened but I don't remember. Mince for brains... I shall be heading for another early night shortly...

Have had a mostly pleasant day with FancyMan, but did have to take ScaredyCat to the vet as she's been not herself for a few weeks now - nothing obvious so she is due back for blood tests on Wednesday. Am hoping it's not kidney problems

Today is mostly cloudy, but warm. The weather sounds like it's heating up to be a furnace in July - I'll put a bulk order in for airblades the HBFs to swish fans about, and nice leafy pagodas to provide shade.

Today's excitement (so far) has been spotting KillerKitty in 'stalk' mode - poised to pounce at a bush. I got there just as he launched into it and came out with a mouthful of something feathery. But wenches - I grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and gave him a shake rescued it, and it flew off into the undergrowth. Not a wonder he keeps catching them them, if they think that sitting 2 foot up in shrub is going to somehow protect them from the spring-heeled furry monster. They are very stupid birds.

I have the dentist in the morning and then we're going to the caravan. Misty is coming with us. I have no idea how she travels but we'll have to hope for the best. Buffy loved the caravan, well she loved anywhere with a bed, but she always wee'd, poo'd and was sick on the way there, so I'll go prepared.
