Afternoon wenches from glorious Wales. Wall to wall blue sky and a nice breeze which makes it bearable.

Misty was very good on the way here. She cried for a few miles but soon settled and only complained when we went round sharp corners and over bumps. However, she wouldn’t sleep last night, knocked my glass of water over, tried to climb up the curtains and kept meowing at us. She’s now asleep on a rucksack!

DD has got Covid. First time she’s had it which is amazing given where she works. Poor thing says she hasn’t felt so ill for decades.

Hope you’re coping without your colleagues LetUs, it seems to be everywhere. The dental hygienist said she had four cancellations yesterday and the dentist had had six.

We did do things - beach walk and pub lunch. Plus later on the sun came out and the wind dropped, so we could have BBQ'd, except the weather was so miserable earlier that we ditched the plan.

All I said was that work could do one and the new finance system, continues to cause chaos and despair. I think I also summoned emergency HBFs for distraction and relaxation purposes.

Well it's been warm here all day and now the thermometer seems to have broken 😂

Whatever is wrong with ScaredyCat, it wasn't what they were testing for, so we're no further forward really. Will ponder the next step over the weekend.

It is hot and sunny. I have been up and had breakfast and fed the livestock and been out to set up a car boot and I'm home again ang it wasn't even 8am at that point. Living the life.

FFS, don't know what that first emoji is there for - tried to delete it and posted the comment instead. Anyhoo, wireless controller now installed and valve mixed so I can run hot water off the boiler and not the immersion now.

ScaredyCat is back at the vets - further sedation and an ultrasound. Seems like constipation has been an issue although the vet couldn't tell if there was any particular reason underlying why she was constipated. With any luck this will just turn out to be a phenomenally expensive poo.

Afternoon. Still glorious weather here. . Misty is fine and spending a lot of her time asleep on the rucksack although she has our bed, her bed and sofas to use. Strange cat.

We went on our usual jaunt to Poundland, although I think they’re going to have to change the name to Twopoundland soon. I bought some knitting wool which I have absolutely no need of because I liked the colour and it was sparkly. 🙄 No idea what I’ll use it for.

I know which yarn you mean Apricot because a couple of fellow knitters at work have bought it. I was eyeing it up too.

Parents have been for tea which was delicious and I’m now absolutely stuffed.

I’m watching the tennis - men’s doubles final. One of them just nearly got his head taken off by a forehand return. Watched most of the women’s singles final earlier. Ideally wanted the other player to win but I’m not unhappy about it.

Evening all. Didn't go back to bed. Did gardening things, picked up new glasses which turn out to need some adjustment, did more gardening stuff. I ache, and I need a bath. And I haven't seen any tennis. Ho hum...
