Morning wenches.

That‘s what I ended up doing yesterday Helen. Lots of stuff for me. We bloody deserve it.

Lunch out for no reason can be the best kind.

Bit drab here. Washing done, dishes done, dishwasher emptied, other chores done. Bit of shopping and collect a prescription then I think I can settle down with my knitting. Also need to “encourage” DS2 with his revision.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/11/2022 10:23

Morning. High cloud here and some sun, though a bit chilly. With cracking timing, DS's electric blanket decided to die yesterday. It's in guarantee but they don't make it anymore, so I have a nasty feeling we'll get a refund and then have to spend more money on buying something new that's not in the sales. Sad

In other news, I've been jabbed this morning, so I shall now waft happily through the winter free of flu and covid. Hopefully.

I'm not under a cat, so I'm a bit chilly. I could warm up by doing my shoulder exercises (before both arms seize up due to jabs).

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 26/11/2022 13:28

Hi wenches. Hope everyone is having a good day. Nothing much going on here. Just work, eat and sleep.

What did you buy for yourself Helen and Letus? I wanted to buy some fun stuff for myself but only ended up with a top, 50% off. Not in the shopping mood I think.

I got my bedframe delivered this week and I discoverad that it was 50% off on Black Friday. I could return it I guess and order it again but couldn't be bothered but I contacted the company and it turns out they have a price guarantee thingy so I got a gift card for the difference Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 26/11/2022 14:31

Well, turns out I was in a shopping mood, just ordered a bag Grin

ApricotCrush · 26/11/2022 16:37

Afternoon. Haven't really looked at the weather although it feels cold.

Well, we watched the footie last night and if that fucking drummer is English that's the end of watching it for me. I had to leave the room as I was getting so churned up. If I was there I'd shove his sticks up his fucking arse. Angry

I did try DGS with TM a while ago LetUs but if it hasn't got planes or karate in he doesn't want to know. I remember he did like the signature tune when he was little though. Grin

I've ordered presents for DGD and her brother. She's great at sending me links for what to get so that's them sorted. Smile

Have a good evening all. Wine

Evening wenches. Bit of a busy morning and then knitting this afternoon. DH and DS2 have had the football on. Shock.

<sticks fingers in ears at mention of an electric blanket breaking> Hope you’re feeling after jab(s) Helen.

Good negotiating skills there Wicked! And good shopping too!

I bought books and a bookmark and a necklace yesterday. This morning was socks for the DC, birthday stuff for LittleSis and BIL, and a jigsaw for me because I’m weak.

The drums can get annoying Apricot. There’s trumpets sometimes too. At least there’s no vuvuzelas this time.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/11/2022 20:06

Evening all.

I bought books Wicked Because my last stack of purchases is sitting on the floor being a head rest for one of my shoulder exercises I don't have enough. Today I bought myself chocolate.

I have no idea about drums and football, since I've been avoiding it at every opportunity. Is the sound a bit rubbish if they're that intrusive, or are they just really loud anyway?

This afternoon I have been on a walk, and I've also ordered a new blanket for DS, which is helpfully being picked up by a friend and dropped round tomorrow. (I got a refund with no quibbles, which was good, but have had to spend more, of course <le sigh> )

FancyFancy · 26/11/2022 20:45

Evening
Have been out doing a grocery shop & getting some small Christmas presents, it didn't feel that cold out but the heating has kicked in - I guess the residual heat in the fabric of the house has gone now. Still, it's nearly December so I shouldn't complain.

Excellent outcome there ww, that bag must have been effectively free Grin

I'm with you on the dubious 'music' at football apricot, it's always so bloody tuneless. I can't say I've watched any of it so far - the joys of being in charge of the tv. I did watch half of a programme about the KLF last night. Now maybe if football 'music' was like this I'd prefer it? <dances> Mu Mu <dances> Mu Mu

LetUsPrey · 27/11/2022 09:30

Morning wenches.

That would definitely improve the matches Fancy!

Usual Sunday today. I should really get my hair dried and get on. Or I could just sit here and watch a farming programme.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/11/2022 09:47

Morning all. I have put washing on in the hope that it will stop raining by the time the machine has finished Hmm Though at least it's not cold outside.

Today's plans involve a visit from a friend and her very adorable daughter, and cooking. And possibly some shopping for food. Rock'n'Roll, etc.

FancyFancy · 27/11/2022 11:30

Morning, it looks very grey out there today, a good day to stay in and get stuff done <lounges around doing fuck all>

I need to incentivise myself to get moving - an evening rewatching the BBC Sense & Sensibility if I get everything done this afternoon maybe?

ApricotCrush · 27/11/2022 17:02

Afternoon wenches. I went into town earlier to get some bits and pieces and it was quite packed which was nice as it’s usually like a ghost town. Probably because of Black Friday, but there was a really nice vibe with Christmas decorations and someone dressed as a dinosaur entertaining the children. Confused

The match was on ITV so maybe it was their sound. Hmm

How are the arms Helen? That was really brave having the two jabs together. I can’t sleep the first night after just one.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/11/2022 18:05

Evening all. It has been very grey out there all day, and is now black out there. My covid arm started aching yesterday afternoon, but has eased off now. I am completely knackered, but I have no idea if that is just me, or the effects of the jab(s). Or the effect of a visit from a very adorable but tiring 4 yo. I'd forgotten how tiring it is, playing with small children.

I think your evening plans sound fab fancy - can I come round? (After we've eaten, because I got a shoulder of lamb this morning and I've just been prepping pudding.)

What sort of bag did you buy Wicked?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/11/2022 18:18

Why is it Monday tomorrow?

Worked between 8-12 today and done nothing much since then.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/11/2022 18:43

I looked at more bags today, I’m totally a bagaholic.

FancyFancy · 27/11/2022 18:59

You can definitely come round helen especially if you bring roast lamb Grin

FancyFancy · 27/11/2022 19:06

An acceptable alternative would be any of this lot. Or all of them. I'm not fussy.

FancyFancy · 27/11/2022 19:07

Although you may be watching S&S on your own if you do that...........

LetUsPrey · 27/11/2022 19:14

Evening wenches.

Have to say, any combination of your evening plans sound eminently acceptable Fancy.

Couple of friends have said their shopping towns/cities were rammed today.

That’s terrible Wicked, buying a bag and then looking at more. Awful. <looks at piles of jigsaws, books, and yarn> Just terrible.

LovelyMIL’s been round so that was a nice way to spend the afternoon.

We’ve yet again got the football on. DH keeps talking to me about it. I might have to get a sign that says “I don’t care” because saying it to him doesn’t seem to be working.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/11/2022 21:56

So that bring roast lamb or HBFs then Fancy? - or both!

I always look at small rucksacks - the same size as the one I have, but more stylish, but I never end up buying one.

The washing never got hung out - it's draped around the house instead (and it's raining outside again).

DS is sitting on a chair playing guitar - it's recognisably 'Take me Out' (Kaiser Chiefs) I'm impressed. Though I'd like it to be a bit quieter, ideally.

LetUsPrey · 28/11/2022 07:32

Morning wenches.

Well done on the musical skills MiniHelen.

Dark and gloomy here. Very Monday appropriate. DS2 starts his mocks today. Super-communicative about it all as ever.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/11/2022 07:50

Morning wenches. Also very dark and gloomy here. You wouldn't know that the sun is up, apart from the fact it's not quite pitch black outside anymore. I fed the chickens and most of them were still roosting when I got there. Much hurried thumping down from the pole and scurrying out the door. And also several sitting on their roost saying 'sod that for a game of soldiers' and refusing to move. (Sensible chickens, apart from missing out on the best bits of their food.)

I've just finished my shoulder exercises and am tempted to channel my inner chicken and head back to bed for another half hour.

Good luck to Mini-LetUs for mocks today (just this week, or two weeks worth?)

We need a New Thread. Will see what I can do.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/11/2022 08:10
