Hi, hope your Jogglers have arrived safely. Once you've had the chance to get them set up and had a play, please can you post your feedback to these questions from O2:

  1. Did you find it easy to set up?
  1. What worked best for you?
  1. Would you recommend it to a friend?
  1. Do you think it's good value for money
  1. Would you like to see any additions?
  1. How would you use it to organise your family life?
  1. Anything else you'd like to add?

And the latest on the webchats is that they'll now take place between 1-2pm (not 7pm) on Weds 10 June and Weds 1 July on www.mum-e.co.uk, but as usual if you can't make it on the day you can leave your questions/feedback in advance and the Joggler team will answer them/respond between 1-2pm.

We'll post the urls of the chats as soon as we have them.

Happy Joggling,

MNHQ

It's not just O2 customer service that are rubbish, i was in an o2 store yesterday and the man in there was useless too - completely LIED about what they could do with DHs iphone (we had already been to apple) and made stuff up about the joggler when i asked him about it. Apparently it can go on your fridge door - did you know that

TBH with my recent tariff fuck around, the joggler fiasco and DHs mobile phone issues we will not be using o2 for anything else.

Shame the tariff i have now is so good or i would change that too!!

@Lupusina: The Palm Pre has the capability to synchronise with two separate calendars, keep the information separate, and overlay the calendars on top of each other. It was designed with the idea of synchronising more than one personal calendar to the phone. The O2 Calendar is a shared, family calendar. It's not immediately obvious how to synchronise the information in a shared calendar into a personal calendar on a phone. As you saw from the questions in the recent ichat, we are looking into how we can mobilise the O2 Calendar.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 09/07/2009 14:08

Overlaying sounds interesting.

Maybe I'm missing something about the 'ontology' of this but couldn't you just 'see' the O2 family calendar as a personal calendar (if you make it the 'dominant' version with the most recent update) and then 'overlay' that as one choice on the Palm Pre...?

The O2 calendar is only 'shared' in so much as other people can update it, but if it is 'owned' by me, then it becomes one of 'my' personal calendars, no?

And then other people in the family could be subsidiary 'owners'? Ie they could have certain rights to update/synchronise but not others?

I dunno: out of my depth here. But it must be possible because I want a Family Calendar AND a Joggler AND a Pre

LupusinaLlamasuit · 09/07/2009 14:11

wilbur, the Palm Pre is a smartphone just launched in the US, designed as a direct rival to the iPhone. The Palm software which presumably this will use, as well as other apps, is very good at the kind of calendar functionality we all want, which is why I'm holding off ditching my ancient Palm PDA (not a phone) until I've decided what works best...

It has had very good reviews and is being seen as a serious rival to the iPhone, bar some initial technical difficulties. O2 will be selling it in the UK apparently...

VietnameseCobbler · 13/07/2009 19:04

IS THERE ANYWAY
they can keep teh calendar page on teh 02 website at the same address
it takes me ages dicking past that stupid " oh theres brians sodding football on wendesday" advert to try and book anything in online, and I have somwoen on a phoen and i am thinking god a piece of paper woudl be easeir

lou031205 · 14/07/2009 09:49

If you go into your calendar and bookmark the page, when you use the bookmark it automatically redirects you to the login page, then takes you to your calendar.

MelonCauli · 14/07/2009 11:10

Haven't been on this thread for a while but I haven't been sent a new plug or had a phone call.

Could anyone at O2 tell me whether I need a new plug?

KingCanuteIAm · 14/07/2009 11:13

Well, it has been nearly a week and there is no sign of the new power supply yet. How long did yours all take?

JogglerGirl · 15/07/2009 17:33

@Meloncauli and KingCanute (and anyone esle who had not yet recevied a replacement power supply)..... we are working throught the list to send the power supplies out to you. Apologies for the delay, but rest assured the current power supplies you have pose no danger to you or your families, so it' sperfectly safe to carry on using your O2 Jogglers!

KingCanuteIAm · 15/07/2009 22:13

Thank you JogglerGirl, I will wait a while longer!

lou031205 · 16/07/2009 07:32

I'm getting a bit annoyed, tbh. I bought a joggler for £150. I had a phone call saying I needed a new power supply. It would be with me the next day. It wasn't. 2 days later, I phoned to enquire, and told DHL had a back log, and it would be 1-3 days.

I then got a phone call, saying they understood I had bought a joggler, and there was a problem with the power supply... I explained that I was already waiting for one, having received a phone call the previous week, chasing it and still waiting. No problem, I was told.

I phoned up to chase it 2 days ago. "I will raise this as urgent, Mrs lou031205, and get it sorted for you." Nothing. Nada.

Now bear in mind that I am one of the suckers that actually paid for this thing, and I still don't have a new power supply. I am quite unimpressed.

JogglerGirl · 16/07/2009 10:12

@lou; am very sorry to hear you've had poor service from O2, and hope to be able to rectify. If ok with you, will get your contact details from MNHQ and resolve for you?

lou031205 · 16/07/2009 15:17

JogglerGirl, that is very helpful of you, thank you. However, this lunchtime DHL knocked the door with the said power supply, finally. Thank you for the offer, though.

KingCanuteIAm · 16/07/2009 17:26

Well I have just had my second phonecall, I am suspecting someone has lost a list of all the people already called somewhere along the way...

MrsWeasley · 18/07/2009 23:04

I am loving my joggler on a daily basis.

I had a call saying they were sending me out a new base unit but not received it yet but no worries. My exsisting unit apppears fine and I dont get any shocks from it at all (unless you count the ones when I click on the calendar and realise we are in for another busy day )

bramblebooks · 18/07/2009 23:46

We are still loving ours, but it's currently unplugged as it became unfeasibly warm. Will have to look into that one. Don't want it going on fire whilst I'm out at work.

BecauseImWorthIt · 18/07/2009 23:56

Ours isn't replacing our current system, i.e. a paper family calendar. Calendar is immediate, and we can leave each other messages. Joggler just seems too complicated - and is also costing us money as it's using electricity! I suspect we'll end up giving ours away.

SweinFeld · 20/07/2009 14:53

OTHER JOGGLER NEWS

we had a boys party last week. 11 11 year olds all eating vast quantities of food.

then they saw teh joggler. Oh look what happens when the clock changes minutes, it FLIPS!

"Omg that is so cool"

then they spent 15 minutes counting down in unison anticiapting the change
cheaper than an entertainer!

VulpusinaWilfsuit · 20/07/2009 14:56

Yes. We love flippy clock.

Instructions to O2: rush the Flippy Clock Kitchen Timer out prontissimo please.

KingCanuteIAm · 20/07/2009 18:06

I think I still stand by my previous assessment, in its current format it is little use to us other than to give us something extra to wear the dusters out on.
However, I am frustrated by it and annoyed as I can see, very clearly, just how great it should be. I can see how easily it could be modified to be everything it purports to be and I am annoyed that it is missing the target by a mile - a bit like watching you eldest dc get a D rather than an A* at GCSE because she never brushed up on her spelling or some other silly, easily rectified mistake [grr]

Come on O2, this thing is so near.....!

iamwhoops · 29/07/2009 08:40

Mrs W did you receive your power supply? I too had a call but not received anything yet

KingCanuteIAm · 31/07/2009 12:36

Well, my first call about the power supply was on 8th July but still no power supply here....

JogglerGirl, is this likely to take much longer?

whoops · 31/07/2009 13:33

I've just phoned O2 and they are sending me one out, should be with me tomorrow apparently
