What’s the most mortifying situation you’ve ever found yourself in?

I was once round my MIL and FILs having Christmas drinks when MILs affair came out. It was excruciating. All the (adult) children were crying and I just wanted the ground to swallow me up. DH wouldn’t come home because he wanted to stay with his dad so I just keep making cups of tea and doing washing up! what’s been your most mortifying situation.

I'm still working from home, but often talk to colleagues on Skype or Teams during the day. One day a few weeks ago I'd had something spicy the night before, so I was working away and quite happily farting like a horse.

Colleague video calls about something, I go through it with him and then he needs to wait for something to process for 30 seconds, so we keep the call open but I'm working away and we're not speaking.

DH comes in with a cup of tea for me, shrieks in horror "HAVE YOU SPENT ALL MORNING FARTING IN HERE?! THAT IS SHOCKING!! UGH! THIS ROOM STINKS! THAT'S ABSOLUTELY FOUL!" and then makes gagging noises and mock-suffocating motions and backs out of the room.

I slowly turn back to my video call, where of course my colleague had seen and heard it all...

I was ordering a skip for a site in work. I rang the skip company and should have asked for a 4 ton skip.... instead I asked for a foreskin skip.... 😂
