Anybody care to join?

I realised that it was the everyday stuff I missed most during lockdown. I really miss things being normal and dull and unexciting. Everyone in RL just talks covid covid covid all the bloody time. If it isn't covid it's recessions and A levels.

I bought a new flask. It's a 500ml Thermocafe and I love it. I take it into work and out into the garden.

I am also learning to do something called a "halo braid" in my hair. I am so bad at braiding it's unbelievable.

The cat hid a dead shrew in DH's slipper this morning.

I invite you all to top this parade of mediocrity.

I’ve run out of fairy dishwasher tabs, need to order more on amazon

The Aldi Magnun are way better. I'm an exciting font of info today! In other news, I took a load of clutter to the tip.

I cleaned the downstairs hallway, sorted out all the coats and shoes and bagged up the ones that don’t fit anymore. Then I really went all out and cleaned the skirting and door frames down there as well. I’m so pleased with myself and glad to have now been able to share this!

@BeeFarseer haha don’t worry! My car is supposed to be very reliable and hasn’t done me dirty before, we just got unlucky today. And it wasn’t all that unlucky as I was far closer to home than I was yesterday and have a MiL to come and and collect me!

Another thing I just remembered, due to the whole breaking down fiasco the baby missed her nap and I got home with one huge boob. Buuut she had a massive feed and fell asleep at the boob which hasn’t happened in months. Made me feel all misty eyed for the tiny baby that used to only like to nap with a nip close by. AND her bedtime wasn’t massively affected by a 5pm nap... the blue seats in Nanny’s car must have truly blown her mind

DESPERATELY need a dump run

After 3 years I finally found a builder who returned my call and appears to be interested in building my extension. Now I am beginning to doubt him cos he is so easy going and is ready to start in a week's time. Can it be real?

I tried out a new razor in the bath tonight. The difference from a disposable bic was astonishing.

I’ve been trying to increase my fruit and veg and lower the crap.
I can easily go through a day of porridge for breakfast, cheese and pickle sandwich and crisps for lunch and chicken and rice for dinner. It’s not too bad but does lack fruit and veg.
Today, I ate a lettuce, tomato and feta wrap for brunch, pea and mint soup for a late lunch, mango for a snack and courgettes with dinner.
I think I did ok

I worked with a woman who won’t have a dishwasher. She Doesn’t trust them.

My dog keeps farting and it bloody stinks

Finally decided that I’m getting the cherry tree for the garden, not an apple tree (no neighbours to annoy) - it’s only taken me far too many weeks to decide, everyone is bored to tears by the ‘tree’ debate. DH really doesn’t mind either way, he just wanted me to decide.... weeks ago

I'm pretty sure my toes are African although DH thinks I've gone a bit mad as I'm staring at my toes.
Today DS had a settling session at nursery and he was really happy which is a big relief.
I got a bill from the gas and electric which showed I was in credit!

I actually got out of bed, showered and washed my hair.

Mine are Greek toes.

I had a nap on the couch while DH made meatballs for tea. Then we played a football game in the garden.

I think so and I’m trying to decide exactly the same thing. I think one foot is Norwegian and the other Egyptian.

@latheritup I have never heard of this so my unexciting news today is learning that edible glue exists.

I sold my unused sofa for £40 more than the amount I asked.

I fell over playing tennis with the DC's this afternoon, and yes they did just stand and laugh. Now we are watching guardians of the galaxy, vol 1 and eating Pringles (other stacked crisps are available)

I bought myself a new watch today,a tray for the chocolate at work,some pens for work and some descaler for the dishwasher at work. Looking forward to getting my mitts on the dishwasher tomorrow.

I made tacos for dinner tomorrow night for dh and ds. I hate tacos.

I cleaned out the fridge earlier, but I had to rush putting everything back because I forgot I had a zoom meeting. I've just made a lemon madeira cake which is now in the oven, ready for a (household only) tea party tomorrow

Cheesy beans AND tuna. No, no, no, no, no. Fish and cheese together is all kinds of wrong.

I'm getting fresh lino in the bathroom and kitchen tomorrow to replace the bloody awful gritty grey council flooring.

Im getting my eyebrows done tomorrow.
