Hi all, happy May. Welcome to this months thread. I'll load up the link later. If anyone else wants to do it, feel free, I'm rubbish at it.

The idea of this thread is to earn a bit of extra cash, as the title suggest. Have a look and these threads go back a while and might give you some ideas.

Newbies welcome. We're a lovely, helpful lot.

Last month was an ok month. Made £250 between Crisp Thinking, uTest, and Appen. This month is looking ok as I've got a couple of intense short term projects for Appen to get on with. (P and S) Already made my £10 before 10am.

Determined to really push myself this month as my first baby is due next month and I’m off on mat leave now so have aaalll the spare time!

Last month was my first month and I totalled £1200. Bulk of it was from transcription. Hoping to beat that this month! I’m still waiting to get started with Ap.

Hope things busy up this month for those who had a quiet month last month.

Had an ok month for App but lost motivation on other fronts due to day job being so busy (no extra pay for that though )
Aiming to pick up matched betting again this month and some LB work as just got registered for SME last week.

That's a great amount for transcription @swiftt - which site do you use. I can audio type so might explore that avenue.

@Winterjoy I use Rev mostly. The pay isn’t great to start with but once you get ‘promoted’ to their plus level, you have access to much better paid jobs. I’m managing about £250 a week there by doing a couple of hours a day. I also use TakeNote but don’t feel that their rates are as competitive, generally. Some of the files on Rev pay about £1 per audio minute, I think perhaps because it’s a US based site, as certain accents, particularly British ones, are marked as difficult. So finding those works out great for me! I also like being able to choose my jobs on Rev, whereas TakeNote assign you files.

Thanks for the new thread. April was a good month for me, around £950 from LB, Appen and Prolific. I’m now eligible for the 30 hours free childcare thanks to these threads so very grateful to all who set them up and continue to advise.

@MrsWombat thanks! I’m really chuffed, just wish I’d discovered all of this ages ago! Total was probably about 70 hours on Rev this month, and that made up about £800 of my total. I’ve worked out it averages at around £12/13 hour by taking the better paying files. I was squeezing that in around work last month though, and now I’m officially off on mat leave so hoping to bump that up this month! The rest I squeezed in dribs and drabs on Prolific, Intellizoom, a little stint in MB that got me just over £100, and a few shifts on TakeNote.

I'm getting pissy with the S**nd platform because it won't let me log in. I already have an account although it never worked properly in the past. I was sent the log ins this morning and it looks like I'm all set up, but when I go to the queue it just says I'm not part of any team yet. Grr. I always have issues with this platform.

I don't know how much I made in April yet, but I'm guessing around £500. I'm quite happy with it although March was much better for me. I haven't had that many projects going on, and I've spent most of my time clearing out and painting and decorating our house so my April total was never going to be amazing. Haha. I'm delighted that a new K**x task dropped last night and it's so nice to do. I hope it lasts!

Terrible month for me.

If all my Amur reimbursements go through I’ll be around £150 ish over crisp, App, Prolific.

Though some good news, I raised a ticket about a missed FB survey and it was added yesterday. I’m still getting the twice a week emails so I’ll plough on with them. Hope to get back onto Amur. My last item should arrive today, so I’ll be all clear to start next week.

Going to spend some time signing up to loads of other sites to diversify.

Wow, some of you made great totals! Well done! Not added mine up yet, but I know it's not great, BUT it all helps
I'm really going to push myself for May and take on some on the more 'tricky' jobs, that I usually pass on because either I can't be bothered to read all the guidelines or I'm too knacked from rl job.

So grateful for these threads and the people that post. I'm really appreciative that we take the time to post our stories/tips etc. Thank-you to all who post

Thanks! It worked! I've had a little go and I feel like I've already messed up. Haha. I thought it was dead easy so I've been clicking away but someone just got told off in the chat for going too fast. So I'm guessing I need to slow down too.

Just got a bit of a panic as my other task requires 4 hours a day when there's work available, and if this is around 3-6 then I might struggle. Lol. We'll see...

Can anyone help me with my SRT problems? Trying to access Sut*nd and trying to create an SRT account. So I use the FB email address they have created for me to login and then the access code they email me. I am getting an error message ! Was looking forward to doing this. Am I doing this wrong. Is it the FB email address I should be using? I am assuming it's the @fb email.

That is exactly what happened to me. Have you have a M* account before? I managed to log on via an incognito browser.

I meant, have you worked on an M* project with an SRT account before? All these acronyms would make a very special episode of Line of Duty.

@MrsWombat, thanks for replying. It just won't let me in. No I haven't had a malta account before. They have sent me an @fb email address but evry activation code they send me does not work.

I've tried going via an incognito window and I am still getting the same problem.

Managed some potato today, just had it on while doing various household tasks. Made probably about £2 p/h praying to the potato gods that it picks up soon

Have you checked your spam inbox? The SRT stuff usually goes there.
