That's what I'm aiming for too mm, a family weekend, dh and ds are now watching the footie on telly, then later I think we'll go down to the beach with the dog for a nice loooong walk.

mm1509 · 08/11/2008 14:13

Hope you have a nice time together vjay.

VJay · 08/11/2008 14:27

Hope you do too mm

sausagemcgrah · 08/11/2008 14:42

Hi everyone,

Just popping in to say the cave sounds like a wonderful place to be. Great idea and can't wait to move in too! Hope everyone's doing okay.

Afternoon ladies, hope the weekend is going well for you, at least it's not freezing cold atm....tad damp though!

molliemooma - I admire your decision to tell people in rl about a bfp before the 12wk landmark! I think we're all tempted to do that but I can see your reasons for wanting to tell people - just don't forget to tell us first!!!

vm - damn, the paperback isn't out until spring?! I wasn't expecting that - I'm not a lover of hardbacks (not user-friendly enough for me!) but spring is, well, two seasons away. Meanwhile, I know that barbie and mm and the others will be bombarding you with questions along the lines of, 'you know that bit on page 152, well does it mean this..?'. Any such threads will have to carry a spoiler alert!

Incidentally, did anyone know that MN has its own Book section where MNers can review books and similar?

VJ - oops, being spotted on MN must be an odd experience; I'm not actually sure if any of my rl friends use MN (I've never heard them talking about it) but I wouldn't be too keen on them reading my posts if they do!

mm - was the service of remembrance anything to do with MN? Sorry that it upset you but hopefully it will bring you some peace too; and as you say, your dd will help to take your mind of things.

Jonesey - yes, I know exactly what you mean when 14yr olds, drug-addicts and other feckless women produce child after child without a care in the world. There is sometimes no justice in biology. But we will prevail!!

lilac - ref: your escalator analogy. I know what you mean; with your first bfp, for lots of women (myself included), it's a 'given' that your due-date is precisely that, a due-date that will come round in 9mths time. Sorted. How very blissful is ignorance in some cases.

curly - hope the footie match was good (although it's now 3pm so I'm guessing it's only just started!).

4ever - hope you're OK.

Hello to everyone else and I'll bring some heaters and a generator to the cave because I hate being cold!

CircularRainbow · 08/11/2008 16:05

mm - hey, just realised, your namesake is now the first lady of US - you could be the first lady of this thread!!

Sabs1981 · 08/11/2008 17:57

Just a quick note to say hello to all and hope everyones weekend is going well.

vm went to ask for your book in Books etc on the way home from work, will have to order it online!

Not many posts to go until this one closes take me with you to the next thread...!

Dont want to bring the mood of the post down, but have been feeling quite down lately, and I keep it taking it out on DH by being snappy and cranky, lucky he doesnt take it to heart...thoughts of my lost angel consume my sleep, and I keep on dreaming about what happened, and what it would have my life have been like if i didnt MC....tNtC is so bloody hard ....roll on the new year!!!
one good thing that has come through all of this is i found MN and all you lovely ladies....like i've said before, you keep me positive! circularrainbow I feel a bit like you, I wouldnt want my RL friends to come on hear and read what ive been writing, like to see MN as my own personal secret !

mm hope you're feeling better...

Off to make lasagne and to watch my fave, Mariah Carey, on x factor!

oops post turned out longer than expected

VJay · 08/11/2008 18:08

Hello sabs sorry you're feeling down, it's such a roller coaster isn't it. I'm with you, I can't wait for new year either. I'm starting to look forward to Christmas now, I even made my Christmas cake this week, which three weeks ago was unthinkable!
I'm not sure how to start a new thread, but we'll have to do it soon, I think there's about 12 more posts left on this one, we are such chatterboxes aren't we

Jonesy68 · 08/11/2008 18:28

sabs Sorry you're down - I'm feeling down today too, was kinda ok yesterday. Dreamed about seeing my friend who was same way pg as me and she is fine. Haven't told her what has happened to me as it will worry her and bring her down. She has her scan on 21st same date as mine was so will try and avoid her til at least after that. Our DS's both do taikwon do on Friday eves so will have to get DP to take him nxt Fri. Have spent the whole day fighting tears - most embarrassing while shopping in Waitrose! Met DP for coffee and had to leg it to the loo to hide tears. Not the best day I've had.

VJay dn't worry, have almost done all my xmas shopping already.... Sad person that I am I always start it in Sep/Oct. . Mind you a my family live abroad so I have to get it all sent off early to make sure it gets there. But I like to feel organised and cut down on stress...

mm remembrance svc sounded like a good thing for you - some closure I hope. Very brave of you I think.

I have just baked some brownies for my one friend in RL I have talked to about this as she's been a rock. Might keep a few back... ...

Have found need to keep busy to keep my mind off things or I dwell, although today couldn't get my mind off things whatever I did. Drove to Twickenham to collect the spoils of my latest bit of retail therapy - a beautiful big cowhide rug for my front room. ...

barbie1 · 08/11/2008 20:29

Evening all!
Once again im so sorry for putting my foot in it, not once but twice!

mollie im sorry for stalking you hun, but i hadnt heard from you in a while (how dare you be getting on with rl! ha ha) and i was slightly concerned as last time you said you were a little down, sorry for hijacking your other thread im glad you are back here though!
Im with you in telling everyone as soon as i get a bfp, i figure what will be will be and the more people who realise im not be a narky bitch just for the sake of it the better!....I hope you are having a good weekend xxx

mm it was my rememberance service today, only i conviently forgot and placed it in the back of my head somewhere until i got back home tonight. I wasnt ready to go, it was purely for lost babies in the newcastle area...one where they call you to the front to say your piece and remember your baby....not ready to go there yet. My mum will come with me to place a small teddy and a note from my husband and myself. Im so proud of you, i which i was there to hold your hand hun xxxx

vm you must give yourself more credit for your book, dont be sat there cringing because we are reading it (or not in my case as it hasnt arrived! ) i just know it will be brilliant, you are such a clever and compassionate writer, we have seen enough times on here. lol at me in whsmiths! Im like a women on a mission, called my mum and told her to check it out while she was shopping today! i will be the first to ask you to sign my copy when we meet!

vjay i have often wondered what would happen if somebody recognised me on here! You girls know more than anybody, probably even my dh as he is a man who will never ever get the level of hurt that im going through at you doing xmas shopping!

Hi sausage and circular hope you are both ok, big hugs xx

sabs sorry you are feeling down, i do hope the next week is a better one for you

jonesy can i have a brownie??? where do you live, i used to live in kingston!

Well as for me, still having cramps but no af, you brown spotting, im hating this tbh...the hospital appointment cant come quick enough for me...im so bloated!

Dh told me today that his company want him to stay with him and not leave for dubai, so we might be moving back to london??? We are giving it two weeks to get all the facts together and to work out what would be the best move for us...ill keep you updated

xxx

barbie1 · 08/11/2008 21:09

can some one please come and tell me to stop googling?? im now convienced that i have poly cystic ovaries and/ or a thyroid problem! i blame having too much time on my hands!

VillageMum · 08/11/2008 21:24

Barbie, well, if you're in London you're a mere hop away from me... so here's hoping we meet someday!

mm, I can hear you're feeling raw - lots of love to you. xx

sabs, Jonesey, really sorry to hear you're feeling down - I've been through the most horrendous ups and downs and at times I've wondered if they will ever even out. I seem to cry at the drop of a hat; even on good days the tears are always near the surface. There seem to be no short cuts - maybe we just have to go through these days. ((lots of hugs))

VJay, that must have felt strange, being recognised... I'm sure you'll be well hidden here!

Circular, how's the swimming? Haven't been for a few days now but will get back into the water again tomorrow.

((waves to mollie))... and anyone else I haven't mentioned; my brains are a bit scrambled after spending the whole day on a choir experience with ds. Then fireworks night got washed out by the rain. Goodnight all!

VillageMum · 08/11/2008 21:30

barbie, step back from Google! Wait and see what the scan on the 27th shows... remember that you did fall pg and easily, so PCOS is unlikely, ok? ((hugs)).

barbie1 · 08/11/2008 21:44

ok google has been shut done for now! only ten more threads until we leave here, im kinda sad this is my safe place...anyone out there that wants to talk to get us up to the 1000?
