If you’re going through this, you’re not alone. I’ll post some links to support organisations shortly, but feel free to post, or just read, whatever you need. Flowers

Hi ladies thanks for replying about the HCG level for me. Just read through a lot of posts and my heart actually breaks for you ladies who have had MC and multiple losses it is so unfair.
I had two MCs between 22-25 so I don’t think age always matters I have got kids which I had in between my miscarriages. My last MC was last week at 12 weeks so further this time baby died about two weeks before.
I am 36 now so have thought it is probably my age as I had my other kids in my twenties but my little girl I had at 34 and I thought she was a MC as I was bleeding with her thankfully it was ok as I have no other children with my current partner of ten years just her and my boys are teenagers now.
I wanted a sibling close in age for my little girl I don’t even remember my boys much as babies now as I was 19 & 21 when I had them so very young and feel like a much better mom in my 30’s. I don’t know if I can go through another MC now some of my friends have never had one my mom hasn’t and she’s got five kids.
But just to say I had MC young and in my 30’s maybe some women are just more prone to them I don’t know I find it strange some women never have one and some of us have three or four.
In my mind now I don’t want to try again and ho through that again it was more painful then childbirth in every way.
Should be having my first scan this week and everyone is pregnant which depresses me I know I’m lucky in all other ways and have kids some of you ladies are struggling to carry one and it honestly breaks my heart so much.

Hi all sorry I haven't been on in a while, it has been a whirlwind here and not in a good way! However, my period is currently 1 day late 🤞🏻, but not holding out hope!
However, if I am what is the process with a pregnancy following a miscarriage are you checked on earlier or is it as normal? Well I say "normal" but I'm Type 1 diabetic so wouldn't be "normal" for me anyway.
Had to go for bloods yesterday due to tiredness, feeling out of breathe and palpitations 😩 but think it could just be the stress of the past few months.

Congratulations @ChloeN I hope everything is going well for you still xxx

So sorry @Sophiey11 sending you lots of love xxxx

Sorry to everyone else who has lost too 😞 xxxx

Hopefulhoney6 · 14/01/2023 20:36

@Brokenpancreas94 🤞🏽 For you!!

I think it depends where you are. I had a MMC In December and my EPU said as soon as I get pregnant again I can come in for a scan at six weeks for free. Even after one MC. So I’d ring your EPU if you do get pregnant xx

ChloeN · 14/01/2023 20:40

@Brokenpancreas94 thank you lovely, all good☺️ hope you’re okay and good luck for when you test! Mine this time was normal, I’d asked my epu if they’d scan me early and they said no 😑 I waited until 7 weeks to refer myself to midwives this time xx

tulipsunday · 14/01/2023 22:08

Will keep everything crossed for you @Brokenpancreas94 🤞 The process does depend on where you are. After my first
miscarriage I didn't get anything different. Now I have had two miscarriages I can ring the EPU after a positive pregnancy test and get a scan for 6/7 weeks or earlier if any bleeding.

Katnissx · 14/01/2023 22:33

Hello,

Could I join please just for a bit of support. I have been bleeding like a period for the last couple of weeks, tested today as it has been going on for so long and it was positive. Will go to the GP on Monday to confirm it is a loss, but it is very similar to my first pregnancy loss I had several years ago so I'm pretty sure.
I've been lucky enough to have had two rainbow babies in between and we are currently ttc for our last baby. But yeah just feeling very sad at the moment. 💔

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 14:14

@Hopefulhoney6 @ChloeN @tulipsunday Thank you, and thank you for the advice. I tested today and it is saying negative, I am 33 days into my current cycle now, and I have usually come on my period by now. Last time I went this long in a cycle I was pregnant, maybe I have tested too early I have no clue. Trying not to let it get me down though but it is hard xxx

So sorry @Katnissx sending lots of love xxxxxx

tulipsunday · 15/01/2023 16:09

So sorry @Katnissx it is a horrible place to be. I hope the GP is kind. @Brokenpancreas94 sorry it is negative though still in with a chance. I'm going to test on Thursday 😬

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 16:14

@tulipsunday I've just come on my period 😞 always the way, I'll test and then come on the same day! Good luck for when you test xxx

tulipsunday · 15/01/2023 18:37

Well I have too so another short weird cycle post miscarriage! This happened after my first one. Guess won't need to be getting any pregnancy tests yet then 😬

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 18:47

It's rubbish isn't it 😞 going to get some ovulation tests tomorrow so that I've got them ready! Xx

tulipsunday · 15/01/2023 19:01

Good plan. There is always something to test isn't there 😂

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 19:27

Yep, it's usually my patience 😂
I've never used ovulation tests, so when do I use them? A certain amount of time after a period I presume? @tulipsunday

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 20:27

@Brokenpancreas94 I started on about day 10 normally, I start getting ewcm then! But when I used the clearblue sticks think you have to start even earlier

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 20:40

@ChloeN ohh that clear jelly fluid? That's a few days before ovulation? Maybe this is where we are going wrong I thought it meant that was the day I ovulated! I have so much to learn! Thank you xxx

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 20:43

@Brokenpancreas94 yep thats the stuff! I normally get it from about days 10-14/15ish and think I typically ovulate day 14, I think it all depends how many days of it you get xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 20:47

@ChloeN this cycle I had it for about 2 days I think! And we had sex twice around those two days, it's usually about 10-11 days after my period I think, I should really note this stuff down 🤦🏼‍♀️xxx

ChloeN · 15/01/2023 21:01

@Brokenpancreas94 I think everyone is different which makes it really hard 🤣 I put everything in the flo app so I could look back each month at what was normal if not you just forget I think xx

Brokenpancreas94 · 15/01/2023 21:56

@ChloeN I've put most things apart from that 😂 I've got 3 apps on the go atm and they all say different it's annoying 😂😞xxx

tulipsunday · 16/01/2023 08:26

@Brokenpancreas94 I used to start around day 9 but got a big pack of cheaper ones so may start from day 8 whilst my cycle is irregular.

Trying the pre mom app where you photograph the easy at home sticks (basic app which I have is free though you can pay for premium features). These were my sticks this month. Not sure how accurate it is.. may end up going back to clear blue but was interesting to try.

The apps will make estimates based on previous cycles but I would go by the tests particularly after a miscarriage when your cycle might not be quite back to normal.

Brokenpancreas94 · 16/01/2023 09:25

@tulipsunday perfect thank you!x

I got my blood results back and just spoke to the GP my iron is very low, was only 8 but not anaemic, so she has put me on iron tablets, and my HBa1c has gone up 😞. So I think I probably need to get that all in check before we try otherwise I'm setting myself up to fail.

tulipsunday · 16/01/2023 10:52

Yes that sounds a good plan @Brokenpancreas94
