Hi all - so, with kbear's blessing , I'm starting a new thread for all of us to organize meetups. Why don't we try a picnic again in one or two weeks time on Tuesday the 9th or 16th near the Maritime Museum? Let's do around noon... So, let me know which date is better and we'll go with the majority. I was so sad that yesterday didn't work out!!

Oh,dear!!

bran · 05/08/2005 14:53

Yes please, either of those dates should be fine with me. My back is improving rapidly so I would even be able to make it up the hill if necessary (I'm feeling very guilty about making a fuss about having it at the bottom of the hill and then not turning up).

bran · 05/08/2005 17:02

Come to the meet-up MLL and I'll tell you all about it (I won't be able to bring the book though as it's 3-5 weeks wait from Amazon ).

Think of me on the 16th - I'm having my csection as you drink coffee and eat muffins - I'll try to keep and eye out for the Sept one - once the kids are back at school and I can hobble to the park.....

KBear · 07/08/2005 21:50

Hi beachy - been wondering how you were. Good luck on 16th - looking forward to seeing you and the wee one in Sept then!

Ok - I think the 16th it is then! Sorry for the delay on defining the date - we've been in Sherwood Forest all weekend and away from the laptops. Let's go for noon and we'll meet in the green area in front of the Maritime Museum - that way if it's raining we can sit in the covered area between the Museum and the Queen's house... I'm looking forward to seeing you all and we'll all be thinking of you beachy!! We'll choose something very accessible for you in September.

Hello south east girls - I have two red and yellow coupe cars and a lilac convertible car for sale and as they will need collection I thought I would offer them to you first!

They are well played with and faded by the sun but still in good working order and hours of fun. DS has grown out of them really and is moving to the big boy world of go-kart courtesy of the grandparents!

£10 each ono.

I could bring them to the meet up after next or you can collect from me in Belvedere.

KBear · 09/08/2005 13:15

lilac car has gone.

bambi06 · 09/08/2005 20:46

i dont mean to hijack thread but on the wed after [17] they have a childrens funday at crystal a palace park if anyone is interested in a meet up there, if not i`m hoping we can all come on the tuesday.

jenweber630 · 10/08/2005 11:53

What time is the Crystal Park event? I've not been there yet and have always wanted to check it out... Would love to see you on Tuesday! Is anyone else planning on coming Tuesday for sure??

Can I ask a (probably) stupid question? Which bit is "in front" of the Maritime Museum? I'm assuming its the bit between the museum and the river (so North side of the museum), but that's because I'm approaching from the foot tunnel, perhaps to someone who normally approaches from a another direction a different side is the front IYSWIM.

bambi06 · 11/08/2005 12:24

i think the crystal palace event is 2 pm but dont quote me on that , ill check with a friend as shes planning to go as well and i`ll let you know

bambi06 · 11/08/2005 12:27

im confused to where youre all meeting as well, i shall be parking at the top on maze hill as its free up there, and plenty of room so where do i come from there? down the hill past the playground[by the way why cant we all meet at the lovely playground with the big sandpit and nice eqpt, my kids love it there and theres plenty of room plus they can roll down the hills there!!!

jenweber630 · 12/08/2005 10:34

Well - I'll leave it to everyone else... I don't really mind - the reason we were going to meet at the bottom of the hill was because we met at the top last time and decided on the bottom for the next time. If we leave it at the original spot, it's near the anchors in front of the Maritime Museum (facing the river). If you all want to change it let me know.
