My mum just arrived and let herself in. Apparenty DS rang her whilst I was in the shower and didn;t hang up so she couldn't call back to check I was OK. She arrived thinking I had fallen down the stairs and instructed DS to call (he's not actually smart enough yet to understand numbers!)

Better than the police I guess.

at least you can count on him in an emergency!
mind you there could have been firemen breaking your door down with axes and in full firemen gear

good morning all
am indecently just out of bed

foxensteinscreature · 13/10/2007 13:04

Lemonaid thanx for your advice - ran the first search and zapped several errant things incl adware and greyware - will the other downloads slow my pc do you think?

foxensteinscreature · 13/10/2007 13:05

it is still acting strangley

but hey - what a beautiful day

foxensteinscreature · 13/10/2007 13:08

Right off for a walk in the sun

My friend from Majorca is visiting today - the 70 yr old who moved out there with her 63 year old toy boy!!

stepfordwife · 13/10/2007 14:50

lol at ds, kew. bet your poor mum was worried, though.

cov, poor ds. ds2 complains about a sore willy quite often. probably because he spends half his life fiddling with it. hmm, they never grow out of that "hands down pants" syndrome, eh?

foxie, hope your computer is sorted. i'm such a luddite i'm clueless when something goes very wrong.

watched ds2 played footie (well in between playing with dd in park and listening to ds1 complaining about being bored).
went to library where dd got tutted out by the blue rinse brigade.
have fun tonight all
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 13/10/2007 14:50

tutted at
wasn't so bad, they saw us off!

stepfordwife · 13/10/2007 14:51

foxie, they've got one of those mobile gym things at the rec. i got really excited this morning spotting it from afar as i thought it was a coffee stall

foxensteinscreature · 13/10/2007 15:26

Oooh is it permanent? The Gym thing that is

Haven't heard the term "Luddite" for yonks!

Just waiting for my glamorous friend to arrive

stepfordwife · 13/10/2007 15:30

don't think it's permanent
a "mature" lady was trying it out when i was there, skirt hitched up to an alarming degree.
but good on her!

rosmonster · 13/10/2007 17:02

mobile gym? don't have a clue what they are! But then I barely know what a gym is in the first place

Cov - sorry about ds, hope he's ok

Dh went to play hockey this afternoon and forgot to take the pushchair out of the car so ds and I went for a ride on the train instead! I was v impressed with ds, very well behaved!

xoxo · 13/10/2007 18:11

just found this. surely there is an easy way of finding a continuation thread when the first is full?

looking forward to meeting up tonight, though am knackered as have been out in teh sunshine since 9am and just got hope. should have shower so as to reduce smell. a girl has her standards.

rosmonster · 13/10/2007 18:53

yes oxo, a girl might have her standards, you otoh

lemonaid · 14/10/2007 10:17

No intelligent comments, but getting this onto my "threads I'm on"...

lemonaid · 14/10/2007 10:21

For eleusis:

Are there any posters that you had a run-in with and afterwards realise you actually REALLY like them?

ComeOVeneer · 14/10/2007 10:23

Morning all. Glad everyone had a good time last night. Foxy you left ds's top here shall I post it? DH crawled in at 5.30am but got up with the children this morning so I could have a lie in(expect he will fall asleeep this afternoon.

xoxo · 14/10/2007 15:01

Hi CoV, thanks for a fab night. I can't believe that you made all that food from scratch. I am deeply impressed, and very ashamed at my lack of culinary prowess.

Great margaritas, Ele!

Nice to see you all again and promise I'll be better at keeping in touch.

ComeOVeneer · 14/10/2007 20:18

Evening all. We got out this afternoon to the park for a couple of hours and enjoted the sun, lo's in bed although neither asleep yet, I can hear ds singin a song from "high school musical" . DH has taken over the telly for the rugby so I am in his study on the computer. Think an early night is in order. I must be getting old. can't take late nights like I used too

foxensteinscreature · 14/10/2007 20:25

Me neither - I am knackered.

DD just vomitted all over the beds - again!!!

ComeOVeneer · 14/10/2007 20:30

OH dear foxy, I thought she was all better now?

foxensteinscreature · 14/10/2007 20:38

So did I CoV

She's very tired all the time but seems OK in the mornings (quite chirpy) About 5pm she wants to go to bed - which is OK as she's just started school. But tonight she vomitted everywhere. This has been going on for 2 weeks now - she gets better, then worse, then better etc

rosmonster · 14/10/2007 21:34

Evening all,

Cov, thanks for last night, the food was delicious! And thanks Sushi, for the sushi!

Foxie - with dd do you think she could be a bit stressed with starting school? Obviously I'm no expert but just wondered if being ill and then the major event of starting school is just taking its toll on her? Hope she's better soon anyway.

I've got my tutorial tomorrow so my mum's come down today. We went and had a very nice roast in our local pub and the weather was so nice we could sit in the garden and enjoy a couple of glasses of wine!

ComeOVeneer · 14/10/2007 21:36

Oh poor dd . I wonder what it is? Obviously the tiredness is (in part at least) due to school (DD was like that when she started), but the vomitting is odd to go away and then return. Hope she feels better soon. You have a baby disturbing you at night of course you are knackered. I am just becoming a light wieght . Still it was fun to get together, I really enjoyed the evening.

ComeOVeneer · 14/10/2007 21:38

Oh yes, thanks for the Sushi too. DD was thrilled when she ssaw the leftovers in the fridge and wanted it for breakfast (dh let me have a lie-in even though he only got in after 5am ). I had to make some rice for her and the seaweed wrappers and she rolled her own for lunch (said it tasted better than mine ).

Paddlechick666 · 15/10/2007 08:43

morning all

can i suggest not eating half a bar of G&B dark choc before bed. it leads to insomnia and paranoia that your child won't wake up in the morning!

foxie, sorry to hear about dd. maybe a trip to the dr for a checkup is a good idea. she was deffo very quiet yesterday.

good to see you tho and thanks for the coat. it's fabulous!

good ebay-ing too. get lodger to check out your 'puter for you. if he can't fix it i'll come over and delete the registry stuff.

can't believe the weekend has gone so fast

anyone up for a swim tomorrow morning or a bike ride tomorrow arvo?

Kewcumber · 15/10/2007 09:21

Paddle - ralised I can;t do swimming on Tuesdays as it clashes with too many things eg baord meeting! So am going to book Monday lessons I think. Not ideal. Never mind. If you want to do Tuesday lessons, booking opens today.
