SAHM's, Part-time workers and of course slackers here we go:

Friday 22nd Sept - Who fancies meeting up this Friday? How's about sticking to the good old Lollipop Club (unless any1 has any other suggestions) seeing as it's forecasted to rain?

Friday 29th Sept - Child's Play Cafe (Chiswick) -what time suits everyone to fit around nap times etc? Childs Play Cafe

1st week of Oct - um....ah...???

xoxoxo · 20/09/2006 09:03

me, me, me. It opens at 10am. Be there or be square. Kids ahve preschool and ursery in the afternoon so cannot stay too long or will turn them into zombies.

(It's usually booked for parties in the afternoon.)

MrsBigD · 20/09/2006 09:32

ah what a shame on 22nd I'll be on board of plane flying to Greece and on 29th on my way back

sfxmum · 20/09/2006 11:58

so where is the lollipop? on fridays we like to go to story time at the library but lately the story telling has been uninspiring

the child cafe thing sounds interesting, i think there is a bus from kew station that goes there.

quokka · 20/09/2006 12:34

What time is the lollipop club?

Deffo on for 29th CPC have to leave at about 12:15 to get ds1 from nursery so was thinking of getting there for 10am?

1st week of October how about Kew gardens?

pudding77 · 20/09/2006 12:59

I'll be there for all of them so far - not much in my diary!

The CPC, I can be there for at 10.Never heard of the lollipop club - where is it? Is this it?

quokka · 20/09/2006 13:31

hi pud, back already! Nice to meet you this morning, sorry about grizzly baby. He was zonked I think

pudding77 · 20/09/2006 13:57

Yep, lo was hungry so I came home in the hope he'd eat & then sleep for a couple of hours - I got 45mins!! Just enough time to sort out washing & have some lunch!

Nice to meet you too & your boys - it's hard when they're teething as you know there's nothing you can do really! Just chatting to dh and he found it really funny that I had to go up to someone and say 'excuse me, are you quokka?'!

Uwila · 20/09/2006 14:46

Kew sounds good for first week in Oct. But, it has to be Tues Wed or Thurs. Monday is DDs first day of nursery in the afternoon so best not to zonk her out before she arrives. And Friday I'm on a plane (which hopefully won't be blown up while I'm on it).

2Cute · 20/09/2006 14:51

Pud - yep that's the one.

Sfxmum - It's on Kew Road (the entrance says Old Deer Park). See the link in Pudding77's post.

Ok so 10am (ish) it is then, at the Lollipop Club, this Friday. We can discuss what to do 1st week of Oct then.

Just so you know who to look for, seeing as I haven't met you yet in the real world, I'm tall, slim, blonde and drop dead gorgeous. Ok, back to reality, I have long brown hair, asian appearance and will be the one rushing through the door late..I'm not very good with mornings!)

Paddlechick666 · 20/09/2006 14:57

I'm deff on for the Childsplay Cafe 29th September.

Have made provisional email plan with BigKat for this Friday morning but will see if she'd like to go to Lollipop instead.

Busy in arvo so can't stay overly long either.

PC666

Uwila · 20/09/2006 15:13

Oh no no no no.... you can not discuss what to do the first week in October when I am not there.

2Cute · 20/09/2006 15:17

Uwila - I'll set up a tele-conference from one of the tables at the Lollipop...

OP posts:
Uwila · 20/09/2006 15:20

Internet conference maybe. Can't really chat on the phone all day -- MN however it doable.

xoxoxo · 22/09/2006 07:36

Hi Late notice I know but dd was up most of the night. For no reason other than she wanted to play. Suspect that she will flake at 9 - 10 am (I really hope so). As she and ds have nursery/ pre-school this afternoon I can't risk taking her out this morning. So, sorry but cannot play today
Have fab time at the Lollypop.

Nanou1 · 22/09/2006 10:08

hi guys ! so ... who is on for childplay cafe on Fri 29th? 10am is great for me too quokka. will walk/pram there. will you?

quokka · 22/09/2006 10:19

Can do, which way do you go? We can meet somewhere?

Nanou1 · 22/09/2006 10:43

the shortcut to go to chiswick would be bollo lane. not very exciting route but i never say no to a bit of fresh air!!!!! do you know the website www.londonfamilies.co.uk it's good! also the lyric theatre in hammersmith has lots of things to do with kids. maybe we could organise a group discount outing with everybody! could be fun. you ok quokka?

kate77 · 22/09/2006 10:47

Hello there

I introduced myself on the Escale meet up thread. I'm in Teddington with a 13 month old and need to start doing more! My little boy has cough and cold so unfortunately couldn't make the lollipop club today, 2Cute, but hopefully I could meet you the week after next at Kew.

Kate77

Nanou1 · 22/09/2006 10:57

hi kate! hope things get better soon. if you want you are welcome to join us at the childplaycafe in chiswick Fri 29th Sept at 10am. the more the merrier

quokka · 22/09/2006 12:30

Hi and welcome Kate

Nanou I normally go towards chiswick roundabout but bollo would be better to meet each other - might be quicker also .

2Cute · 22/09/2006 14:08

Hey Kate - no probs, hope he gets better soon.

Oxo - Sorry you couldn't make it, I almost didn't myself. DS was up most of the night and I was so dizzy from going back and forth from his room. He nodded off at 7am but woke up at quarter to 10 saying he wants to go Lollipop to see his new friends so I made it but boy was I flustered! A bit like this If you don'e mind, could you please CAT me your cleaner's number, I've got friends visiting from Japan next week and need to have the house in a reasonably respectable condition!

PC666, Pudding and BigKat - It was lovely to meet you and your gorgeous little 'uns. DS has just fallen asleep, still on hunger strike though.

Nanou - looking forward to meeting you and the others on 29th

Hi - I'm back in town

Did you all miss moi?

DS called the local police station up once. We had a very cross WPC phone us back to inform us. She claimed he dialled their number and when they answered, said to them "kiss my butt, eat my trousers"
On questioning, he admitted everything, but claimed that's what Bart Simpson said to the police.

TBH we didn't know whether to be shocked that Bart is corrupting our son, or proud of DS's healthy irreverance

Glad to see everyone is well

2Cute · 22/09/2006 14:19

FF - Oh, you've got to laugh. I'm surprised the WPC didn't. How was B'ham?

OP posts:
fatfox · 22/09/2006 14:19
