SAHM's, Part-time workers and of course slackers here we go:

Friday 22nd Sept - Who fancies meeting up this Friday? How's about sticking to the good old Lollipop Club (unless any1 has any other suggestions) seeing as it's forecasted to rain?

Friday 29th Sept - Child's Play Cafe (Chiswick) -what time suits everyone to fit around nap times etc? Childs Play Cafe

1st week of Oct - um....ah...???

Yanks - I'll be driving to the CPC. I wouldn't have minded picking any1 up from home but problem is I am going to have to rush like mad to get there for 10am (DS isn't up until 8-9am). So to cut a long story short, if it's easier for any1 to get to Whitton High Street / A316 (Twickenham end) or anywhere else this sort of end then I'm happy to play chauffeur (sorry FF, I'm not meaning to put you out of business! lol)

PC666 - that fair looks good esp. seeing as its meant to be raining tomorrow so we've cancelled our plan to take DS to Chessington. What time are you /others going?

Yanks - my DH is co-ordinating his office move as well. I had NO idea there was so much to it, its happening in December but he's already caught up in meetings etc organinsing it.I had no idea there was so much to it. Does you DH have any top tips?

2Cute -- aaaaayyy!

You'd better be careful not to encroach on my cabbing patch - have you paid your protection money to the west London Murphia yet?

Sue - sorry to have missed your message earlier, would have loved to meet had I seen it. Would love to meet next Friday pm or Saturday if you are around though

Thanks for the tip about the ^ - I hadn't realised that; but hopefully I'll be able to avoid looking a plonker in future. Well on that front anyway

Have done absolutely nothing today apart from pop into see a freend for tea and cake - slept all morning, am so knackered.
Hmmmm I was supposed to be enjoying a night out tonight in Twickenham Tesco's but decided to order online instead. We've had a letter from Tax Credits claiming they've over paid us £4.5K so won't be going near Waitrose for a wee while yet

fatfox · 23/09/2006 20:37

Quokka - I knew somone who organised a "Knit in" once - it consisted of a woman in every carriage of the central line trains going round and round knitting all day - apparantly its a political issue - women losing a useful skill etc!

Can you believe that?

Had to do the as DS really likes them

fatfox · 23/09/2006 20:44

DS wants me to one of these now

2Cute · 23/09/2006 20:51

Protection money??? FF, you're scaring me...

OP posts:
fatfox · 23/09/2006 20:57

That's the idea

Alternatively, I might accept a bribe, depending on what it is

2Cute · 23/09/2006 20:58

Go on...name your price...

fatfox · 23/09/2006 21:00

How about some carrot cake?

2Cute · 23/09/2006 21:05

oooh that's pushing it. I'll call my people and see what we can do.

OP posts:
fatfox · 23/09/2006 21:09

Paddlechick666 · 23/09/2006 21:44

evening all!

good news: kew tickets have arrived YAY!

Yanks, I'm going to drive to cpc so can do a lift if you like? have you got a car seat tho?

FF & 2Cute, no idea what time we'll go to the fair tomorrow yet. by the time we get our butts in gear it'll prob be around lunchtime-ish.

after a day in the car today i'd really like to go for a nice walk in fresh air tomorrow arvo.

will be very if it rains tho!

ff, bugger about tax credits. we're in dispute too. suggest you launch major long and drawn out counter attack until the whole tax credits dept is scrapped a la the CSA.

pc666

fatfox · 23/09/2006 21:51

PC666 - yes good idea - could probably keep the dispute going for years

No actually, Grrrrrr

Welcome to the Kew Gardens ganglette

pudding77 · 24/09/2006 08:19

Are these season tickets you've got for Kew? Was thinking of getting one - how much are they?

pudding77 · 24/09/2006 08:21

Talking of knitting, I decided the other day that I really want to learn. I tried it once but altho I could cast on, after that it just always use to fall off the needles - very frustrating! But, a local craftshop has workshops and I'm going to go to one of their knitting ones. The owner reckons I could learn to knit in 2 hours!!

fatfox · 24/09/2006 09:05

Puds - can't remember the exact cost (PC666 will now) but it works out the same as about 3/4 visits. Its well worth it - we virtually live in there and its great in winter too - Kew Gardens covered in snow is beautiful. Plus they have loads of free activities for kids.

Sue - I might pop down to M&S about 11am - if you're around we could grab a coffee? I'll have the monsters with me

Paddlechick666 · 24/09/2006 10:16

akshurley i don't know lol, our passes are an xmas present from my mum and step-dad. we got 2 x premier passes because mum said there was an offer on so we're very lucky.

well done on the knitting thing Pud - very creative!

well, we're on a slooooow start today so i doubt we'll be at that fair thingy till 1ish or so.

plan to go for a stroll after that - possibly just to the park opposite Popes Grotto.

fatfox · 24/09/2006 21:20

How was the fair thingy?

Paddlechick666 · 24/09/2006 22:25

um, bit rubbish really!

cost us 2 quid each to get in and it was, to my mind, really aimed at pg or newborn market.

lots of lovely stuff that you buy before you realise that you need very little to make yourself and baby happy and comfortable LOL!

loads of photogs with stands, lots of cotton nappy sellers and the like. some maternity clothes for pg women who don't actually change shape except by growing a bump etc........

the sling company failed to show up so the only reason i went wasn't even there!

i did buy some new books for dd and a rather cool portable pestle and mortar type weaning kit affair as a gift for a pg friend.

the woman on the Green Baby stand was incredibly militant about the hippychick hip carrier and sandblasted me with her "all wraps are completely awful" statement!

yeah, so it was fun!

pudding77 · 25/09/2006 08:58

DOn't worry, I can find out on their website and join up.

PC - that's generally why I avoided it! After my experiences with the baby show at Olympia I just avoid them all like the plague now!

fatfox · 25/09/2006 09:17

Baby harnesses are oppression and an abuse of human rights !!!

LOL Paddle

BigKat · 25/09/2006 10:20

Morning all-good to meet 2cute, pudding and see PC666 on Friday. It was fun-DS fell asleep the moment I pulled out of the car park...Planning to come along at 10.00 to CPC this Friday- if anyone needs a lift from Twickenham area, let me know.

2Cute · 25/09/2006 14:40

Just as well I didn' t make to the fair then! We ended up having such a manic weekend and I'm still shattered. DS had a temperature last night, he didn't even know who I was when I was trying to comfort him, poor pumpkin. Hope ev1 had a good wknd.
