Morning all.

Sorry if you're chomping at the bit to announce your loss this morning!

Here's the spreadsheet

Some great losses already posted, so well done.

But don't despair if you haven't lost as much as others. Remember, this isn't a competition. We're all here with different startpoints, and everyone loses at a different rate anyway.

Hi everyone, I have lost 1lb which I’m happy with. It could have been more I think but I was on holiday last week so had a few tiny treats and may have gone out for a couple of glasses of wine on Saturday night 🤭I will try harder this week, no wine! Or treats! Off to google low carb soups as the weather has turned and I really don’t think salad for lunch is going to do the trick anymore. And I might have a go at the cheeseburger pie, it looks good.

BIWI · 19/10/2020 10:40

Spreadsheet issues are now resolved

Here's the link to the resolved spreadsheet

PLEASE DON'T ADD ANYTHING TO THE SPREADSHEET OTHER THAN YOUR WEIGHT!

... otherwise @AthelstaneTheUnready will have your guts for garters!

OP posts:
Linnet · 19/10/2020 10:42

Umm the spreadsheet link is telling me it’s been deleted?

Linnet · 19/10/2020 10:42

Oh sorry cross post

AthelstaneTheUnready · 19/10/2020 10:46
Shock

I don't wear garters .

But yes, weight only please, or we'll be doing this every other day Grin

AthelstaneTheUnready · 19/10/2020 10:47

whoops, posted too soon...

... every other day... as adding comments leaves your actual name visible on the sheet... which is most emphatically NOT good.

52andblue · 19/10/2020 10:53

I'd like to add my start date as today, but I will mess it up so shan't x

AthelstaneTheUnready · 19/10/2020 10:54

hah! don't be terrified of it now, @52andblue Grin

I'll add it for you though. Flowers

52andblue · 19/10/2020 11:03

I've never used a spreadsheet @AthelstaneTheUnready
so I am not sure you'd want me tinkering with yours Grin

AthelstaneTheUnready · 19/10/2020 11:08

It's not mine, I'm just babysitting it Grin

These things always happen when lots of people use the same thing, it's no biggie, except for not wanting people to have their details show - and unfortunately googledocs doesn't allow disabling of comments, so given it's a public spreadsheet, we just need to be aware of what goes in it!

sheepysheep · 19/10/2020 11:12

2lb off for me which is a surprise as a) I’ve been eating low carb for a long time and b) I’m currently having the period from hell (fuck you perimenopause). Since starting boot camp I’m being much more mindful of what I’m eating and trying not to snack ... which basically means no more munching cheese as I peruse the contents of the fridge!

Well done for all the losses and NSV - love seeing the pictures though not sure I am brave enough to unveil my crepey belly 🤣 It’s the very last place I lose weight from sadly... and of course the first place any extra weight gets stored!!

sheepysheep · 19/10/2020 11:19

I forgot to answer about the sheep @verylittleowl - we used to have swaledales but now run an eclectic harem of texels, beltexes and a few zwartbles (Cos they’re pretty) ... we have tried early lambing but it’s really hit and miss for us - we live in a national park and we can’t build sheds so if the weather is rubbish it’s a nightmare. We are going to lamb end of March in 2021 to coincide with the school holidays - good old child labour ;-)

Must hit the recipe tabs and find something lamby to make - we have a lamb in the freezer. I only really cook it as a roast dinner when people visit and we’ve not had much of that this year!

prettybird · 19/10/2020 11:19

Wooohooooo! SmileSmileSmile

8lb off GrinGrinGrin

Down to 12st 3lb. Ok, I know most of it is water Wink, but it's a great start.

Next target is to get into the 11s. Might be a few weeks though, given the big Week 1 loss, so I'll need to be realistic.

I've also managed a whole week of getting to bed before midnight ok, some nights it's been at 23.59 which has been another goal. I seem to remember something about sufficient sleep helping with weight loss too.

I'm not taking a photo of my black trousers on a weekly basis, but I'm going to take a picture of a belt that I like but can't currently use. It'll have to wait until tomorrow as the jeans I've got on at the moment don't have belt carriers and my other ones are not dry yet, having been washed at the weekend.

WitchWand · 19/10/2020 11:22

@AthelstaneTheUnready Thanks a lot !! Smile

BIWI · 19/10/2020 11:22

Some info re nuts - unless you're a veggie, you're not allowed nuts until after the second week of Bootcamp, and that's because they can get very carby, very quickly - and especially if you're eating salted nuts, they're very addictive!

The counts shown below are carbs per 100g for unsalted nuts, and in the main, unroasted.

However, even in the same brand the carbs vary, so I've shown a range where there are different counts. All these counts are based on Sainsbury's products, unless otherwise indicated:

Brazil nuts 3.1
Pine nuts 4.0 (toasted 9.4)
Macadamia nuts 5.3
Roasted peanuts (KP brand) 5.7g (Sainsbury's raw peanuts 9.9g)
Pecan nuts 5.8 - 8.2
Hazelnuts (blanched) 6.0
Almonds 6.9
Roasted pistachios 8.2 - 11.5
Walnuts 8.8
Cashew nuts 18.1 - 23.3

BIWI · 19/10/2020 11:24

Can I also just point out that the weight you're losing this week isn't just water!

It will be water, plus you will be using up your glycogen stores, and there will be a bit of fat there too.

As the diet progresses, you'll be mainly losing fat.

OP posts:
NoraEphronsneck · 19/10/2020 11:29

Oops I can see the issue has been resolved already thanks!

FizzyPink · 19/10/2020 11:34

Wow some amazing losses there already!

I’m 3.2lbs down this week which I’m very pleased with as there was a lot of temptation over the weekend.
Next weekend (subject to another lockdown) we’re going to the Cotswolds for a couple of nights so I’m holding onto that good feeling of seeing a drop to stop me being tempted when we’re there.

Focus for this week is to go back to intermittent fasting. I’ve been on calls on morning so far and haven’t noticed being hungry so clearly I usually eat out of boredom. And also to incorporate some more fats. I’m dairy free so can’t be adding any butter or cream to anything which is a bit of a challenge

WitchWand · 19/10/2020 11:35

@AthelstaneTheUnready I don't want to interfere with the spreadsheet and mess anything up. When you are able to, could you put my start date either as the 1st June at 182,6lbs and my weight today (the 19th) as 159,7lbs ?
Smile

FizzyPink · 19/10/2020 11:36

Also for anyone interested in seeing metrics other than weight, I bought these scales from Amazon and I’m loving seeing my body fat % drop, water increase etc.

I’m not entirely sure how accurate they really are but they’ve been a great motivator for me!

prettybird · 19/10/2020 11:39

Cashew nuts are horrifically high Shock

Bugger, as I really like them Wink

LemonSea · 19/10/2020 11:44

Morning everyone, well done on the losses everyone, whether it’s a half pound or half a stone. I am in my early 50s and as long as it’s going down I am happy. My weight is the typical tyre of fat around my tummy and my bust is uncomfortably big, I am small boned. My favourite bras are 34c (Triumph Amourettes) but I only fit in one M&S minimiser bra 38c at the moment so that’s a non scale goal for me.

Lost 2 lbs, I have not been managing the water, I usually drink no water whatsoever, never have, so drinking more than a litre a day feels extraordinary to me. However I will keep plugging away, I have started putting slices of lemon in which is helping.

B Scrambled eggs
L Feta and salad leaves
D Chicken tray bake (courgettes, broccoli and possibly celeriac if I can hack into it)

TeddyIsaHe · 19/10/2020 11:54

I’m finding intermittent fasting v easy. I’m actually not hungry at all, so struggling to actually eat! Which is very unlike me as usually I’d be desperate to snack by now.

Black coffee for breakfast.
Broccoli & blue cheese soup for lunch
No idea what’s for dinner, although maybe the moussaka.

poorbuthappy · 19/10/2020 11:58

@LemonSea - have you measured yourself using the BOB method?
