Starting tomorrow's thread early as I'm not around in the morning

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So far there seem to be some great results already, so I'm hoping they've continued over the weekend.

I love this week because the first weigh-ins are often spectacular, but also all those who were less than convinced are amazed how much they've lost!

It really sounds to me like people have really got to grips with this WOE, which is fantastic.

Here's to you all, and wishing you a good result on the scales tomorrow. (Or with the tape measure or the clothes you're trying on, if that's your preferred method of monitoring progress!)

Marking my place so I can find it tomorrow

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 19/05/2019 22:26

Nervous about weighing in. Hope to god this is working!

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 19/05/2019 22:28

Just placemarting so I can find you tomorrow! Off to bed, hoping I find I've lost a good few lbs tomorrow morning..

TheWaiting · 19/05/2019 23:33

I’ll officially weigh in tomorrow but the weight loss aside, I feel so healthy this week. I feel nowhere near as exhausted or sluggish.

Bloodybigbabybelly · 20/05/2019 05:57

I lost an amazing nothing Grin zero zilch.
I can however get into my jeans for the 1st time since having my dd.

I haven't cheated but it is time of the month and my snacking is way out of control. All boot camp of course Wink
Hoping for a whoosh next week.

SittingontheSidelines · 20/05/2019 06:16

@Bloodybigbabybelly commiserations and me too. I've not weighed all week but have felt loads better physically, and definitely smaller around the tummy. However I woke up this morning all excited to weigh and my stomach felt huge and bloated (not time of the month for me) and nothing. I can't think of any rule following I've not done. However the weekend was cheesy and creamy so maybe I'm going to need to watch my dairy. Any way I know I'm better off that if I hadn't eaten like this last week so I'm sticking to it.

Good luck everyone and congratulations on those losses. Any others disappointed, hang on in there.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 20/05/2019 06:35

Well... 2 measly lbs... I do feel better though, and it's moving in the right direction. Just got to KOKO...
More water I think, less snacking, possibly less dairy, which doesn't agree with me anyway much. I've also done very little in terms of moving about, so once I'm able to walk without crying, that'll help...
Off to work in a bit, just sitting here with my coffee watching our mental kittens bombing about the place..
I need to make sure I drink water today, can get very distracted at work and got loads on, plus a pain in the arse class to finish the day... I do feel proud of myself for doing over a week without booze though. Good luck with the losses everyone!

Rshard · 20/05/2019 06:54

Thanks for the week 2 thread BIWI.

Recording a 3lb loss which as a seasoned low carber I’m happy with it. Although I am losing weight previously lost Grin.

What I’m really pleased with is being back in control and sticking to this woe. I’ve also managed to run twice last week and I’ve not managed that for months.

What I’m not happy about is failing to track down the M&S

Good luck for week 2 everyone - let’s koko!

GrasswillbeGreener · 20/05/2019 07:02

I've had a busy weekend and not drunk enough. Couple of cheating incidents also which hasn't helped. But down 5 lb despite that which is a great start. Hoping to drop below 100 kg soon and then never see it again! (the first time I ever got to that was just before my youngest was born. Dropped it fine at that point, but started steadily upwards a couple of years after).

This morning I'm borrowing a friend's dog and driving an hour to where my eldest is at school doing GCSEs. Her next exam isn't till tomorrow afternoon so we're going to go out for a good long walk together. When my friend heard my plans on Friday she said, why not take the dog? What a friend!

DrBuckles · 20/05/2019 07:08

9lbs off! I know it’s mostly water this week and it’s a drop in the ocean as I’m so heavy anyway but I’m really pleased! Grin

VeryLittleOwl · 20/05/2019 07:10

5lbs gone, which is about a sixth of the 31lbs I need to lose.

B: Leftover cauliflower cheese
L: Turkey salad
S: Chilli

devoncreamtea · 20/05/2019 07:14

Hi all! Really quick one for me as it’s mayhem here! Will check back later on
156 1b on scales just now - so lost 5lbs. Good start! Hope everyone else sees scales movement Flowers

IStillMissBlockbuster · 20/05/2019 07:14

5lbs off for me too! I'm back in the 10 stone somethings. I don't expect to lose 5lbs a week and by your first post BIWI, I guess that the first week is the most impactful. What can be expected from here onwards?

HypatiaCade · 20/05/2019 07:35

Woo hoo! Weigh in this morning and I'm 202 pounds, that's a 13 pound loss!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's not ALL weight loss, some of it is overloading on carb on the Sunday before I started, PMT, and lots of it is the water woosh, but it still feels bloody fantastic

Iamnotacerealkiller - I have the Salter Ultimate Accuracy Bathroom Scales and mine weigh to the 1/8th of a pound. They're a few years old, but a quick google tells me that a few versions are available at lots of stores.

MrsBertBibby · 20/05/2019 07:36

Meh, 1 pound down. Still 5 pounds down on my start point a few days before W1 started, but balls.

Might help if I weren't so clogged. Horrid feeling!

salema · 20/05/2019 07:40

5.5lb lost and just squeezed down a stone bracket. I’m feeling good but noticed I seem a lot more affected by caffeine whilst low-carbing (makes me jittery!) so I’ll be having fewer coffees this week.

TheWaiting · 20/05/2019 07:46

I can’t quite believe it but I’m 7lbs down. How can that happen? I’ve been a yo yo dieter all my life but I’ve never lost 7lbs in 1wk! Thank you everyone for the motivation and thank you @BIWI for the thread. As I said last night, I haven’t felt this healthy in a long time. Well done everyone! 👏

m0therofdragons · 20/05/2019 07:47

2lbs off! I'm happy as I've stated on this woe since January and I'm near target weight so wasn't expecting more this week. 7lbs to go until target (although maybe 10lbs if I'm ambitious Grin)

I need to do some work on what I see in the mirror as I still see a fat lady and have to remind myself I'm healthy bmi Confused

Nameusernameuser · 20/05/2019 07:49

5.5lbs down this morning, only 24 to go. I'd like to lose a stone before DPs birthday which will be in 8 weeks. I think if I stick at it and keep myself accountable I'll be fine. My mum got 12 eggs in Tesco for me reduced to a penny so breakfast is sorted!

blackteaplease · 20/05/2019 07:57

Placemarking for later. Hope everyone has had good losses this week.

Almahart · 20/05/2019 08:00

4.5ibs off which I’m really pleased with Smile

I went back to read the original rules last night and realised that I am eating cheese for a snack with no restrictions: possibly not drinking enough water; have had a couple of diet cokes and also perhaps two coffees with semi skimmed milk per day (work related)

I thought I knew what I was doing having done bc before but clearly not

There is something in this woe in that once you have thrown your hat over the wall and started eating high fat you HAVE to stick with it. I do actually really like that

Bf will be Total yoghurt
Lunch and lc option from Pret and
Dinner kale and chorizo soup

Going to try not to snack today as it’s habit not need

blackteaplease · 20/05/2019 08:13

1.8lbs off here which I'm happy with, given the lack of water over my weekend away

BringBackDoves · 20/05/2019 08:14

I’ve lost 5 pounds!!! I know it’s a lot of water and I know it won’t continue at that rate but it’s so encouraging.

Need to drink more water and I did have a slip up yesterday when I was at a friend’s party for lunch and options were extremely limited (I had 2 small slices of baguette). I’m amazed how little I’m feeling hungry too!

venusandmars · 20/05/2019 08:17

1.8lbs down. Close to target weight and been low-carb for 18 months so not expecting anything drastic, but after maintaining on BC-lite for the period between BCs it's nice to be focussed on THE RULES and to see an impact.

Took my granddaughter for ice cream yesterday evening and didn't even have a wee lick! It was a bit torturous reading out all the flavours to help her decide, although so many of them just sounded sickly sweet.

@m0therofdragons - I'm with you on the self image thing. Bizarrely when I was at my heaviest I perceived myself as a much thinner person (and was shocked when I saw photos of what I actually looked liked). But now 2.5 stone lighter and with some clothes unwearable because they are too big, I look down and see my wibbly wobbly tummy, notice my double chin or feel a muffin top over the top of my jeans. Somehow I manage to loose sight of the fact that those jeans are 2 sizes smaller than they would have been 2 years ago.

B - boiled egg mashed with butter
L - fried whitebait, sautéed vegetables
D - veg curry

m0therofdragons · 20/05/2019 08:25

@venusandmars yes exactly than. I have had 3babies, 2 at the same time so my tummy is stretch marked and wrinkly. No amount of dieting or exercise will change that and the weight actually made it less wobbly. I have to keep reminding myself that although I'm generally in the same size clothes, I was beginning to grow out of them and buy A line which is forgiving when weight gain goes on hips and bum! Everything is looser!

I've always thought I was fat, even at 9stone 4 in my 20s so clearly that hasn't changed except he last 3 years I was actually fat Grin
