Starting tomorrow's thread early as I'm not around in the morning

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

So far there seem to be some great results already, so I'm hoping they've continued over the weekend.

I love this week because the first weigh-ins are often spectacular, but also all those who were less than convinced are amazed how much they've lost!

It really sounds to me like people have really got to grips with this WOE, which is fantastic.

Here's to you all, and wishing you a good result on the scales tomorrow. (Or with the tape measure or the clothes you're trying on, if that's your preferred method of monitoring progress!)

DrBuckles - I always thought that the answer to a slow in the system was 'more veg' but it seems that it is usually water that helps clear things. Amazing stuff that H20 .

Drink till you are drowning on the inside :)

Ninkaninus · 20/05/2019 16:01

Oh yes forgot, lots of water and plenty of fat, too!

1Wildheartsease · 20/05/2019 16:01

You are all very inspiring - what great results this week :).
I am happy to have moved downwards again at last.

18pagesfrontandback · 20/05/2019 16:08

Still can’t taste properly (cold) so feeling a bit uninspired flavour wise today.
Yog for brek. Chicken stir-fry for lunch. Dinner may well be an early night. Drinking hot water, fresh ginger and lemon which seems ok enough without the honey. Though this might be down to lack of tastebuds rather than NSV on missing the sweetness. The Twinnings ginger green tea with added lemon juice was nice, but fiery, but caffeinated so limiting them.

18pagesfrontandback · 20/05/2019 16:10

Not ‘but fiery’ just ‘fiery’. It wasn’t a bad thing - quite nice actually Smile

bluelefant · 20/05/2019 16:20

Oh,wow,I really find difficult to keep up with the thread but managed to read all of it.
Amazing week 1 results 😊
As for myself I lost 1.3lb and I am happy with that.
Hopefully I can now state that I am permanently in 11's as I have been for over a month.
I needed the boost of BC(this is my 3rd) to get losing again.
@devoncreamtea and @TheWaiting
I am also "blessed"cursed with huge breasts I find it hard.
So far lost 1.5st and I am a band smaller(just) and cup stayed the same.Unfortunately the difference is probably only noticeable to myself 😐

That said I have another 1.5st to lose so I do hope there is hope!

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 20/05/2019 16:25

Anyone know if i can put lime juice in tbe guacamole I'm making later, or is that a no because of the no fruit rule?

RocketPockets · 20/05/2019 16:37

I'm going to weigh in when I get home and then first thing in the morning (hopefully although we may not be at home tomorrow either).
I haven't weighed since Friday morning when my weight loss was at 2.8lb more than I've had in a week before!
If it stays at that I'll be very happy as I didn't manage to stay low carb at lunchtime as there wasn't anything I could have had at the place we were at today that was low carb. And I couldn't prep anything as we were at a hotel. Annoying but it was one think out of my whole day and I haven't snacked or eaten any extras and dinner will be a salad. From tomorrow I'm on holiday but going to try to stick to low carb foods!
I've been looking forward to this holiday all year so I'll probably be quiet until Saturday when I'll weigh myself, and then I'll have another week two next week.
I did notice on Saturday that my carrots tasted sweet! (I wouldn't normally have carrots but MIL was cooking).
Well done for the fab losses and I hope everyone has a fab week!

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/05/2019 16:54

If a squeeze of lemon is alright. surely lime is too.

NLisa · 20/05/2019 17:28

Busy day at work today but happy I lost 4lb

Heartyhooker · 20/05/2019 17:29

B creamy coffee
L ham andfeta aubergine sandwiches
T pork belly slices with cabbage and mushrooms

KooMoo · 20/05/2019 18:04

A tumtastic 1lb for me. If I continue to drop a 1lb a week, that 10lbs over the bootcamp. That’ll do nicely thank you.

SittingontheSidelines · 20/05/2019 18:06

Well done you lot. Fantastic losses.

Breakfast yogurt
Lunch gammon, olives, celery, cucumber, red peppers (just a few slithers) and Mayo.
Dinner will be gammon and eggs.

A bit gammon heavy, using up yesterday's joint,

Nameusernameuser · 20/05/2019 18:21

Does anyone have any low cost food ideas? My budget isn't massively tight but we like our meat in this house, I have about £200 for 2 adults and a 19 month old (he costs nothing extra really) per month. I just think without carbs I need more fat and protein in my lunches etc, perhaps there's some veggies on this thread that could lend a hand!

1stMrsF · 20/05/2019 18:22

Amazing losses this week, well done everyone. I'm finding it very hard to keep up with all the comments though!

3lb loss for me, very pleased with that as I only started on Wednesday and always knew this weekend was going to be a bit off plan (yet another 60th birthday celebration for DH).

L: leftover BBQ chicken and feta with salad
D: pork steaks with creamy mushroom sauce and spring greens

MrsBertBibby · 20/05/2019 18:22

Christ alive, but why are online keto recipes so ANNOYING!

Scrolling through miles and miles of toe-curlingly irritating perky faux down home blether before you get anywhere near ingredients. Ugh!

Youwanapizzame · 20/05/2019 18:41

@mrsbertbibby it's not just keto recipes... it's all recipes. The better ones have a link that let's you skip straight to the recipe... but most don't

"No Janet I don't care about that lovely holiday where you met that cute couple from Wales and first tried this dish. I just want a feckin recipe "

Grin

Recipe first, awful musings afterwards.

Youwanapizzame · 20/05/2019 18:48

Nameuser deffo try Aldi and Lidl if you don't already. I've just prepped my breakfast for the week and used their bratwurst and a pack of cooking bacon and some baby mushrooms.

A 500g pack of cooking bacon at Tesco is just over 50p. Also the high fat mince tends to be cheaper than low fat. Obvs whole veg rather than prepped is cheaper....

That's all I can chip in with I'm afraid. My shopping bill this week was enormous!

blackteaplease · 20/05/2019 18:51

The diet doctor has some good recipes. The bloggers can all piss off with their blurb

18pagesfrontandback · 20/05/2019 19:05

It’s the million adverts between every third sentence too! I was looking on a site earlier after it came up on a search for LC scones (for future ref of course) earlier, and I honestly lost the will to live. Every couple of lines the page jumped to load in another bloody advert. No thanks. I’ll make up my own which will be crap

Batshittery · 20/05/2019 19:08

Congratulations to everyone. There are some amazing losses Star
A couple of pounds down for me, which I am pleased with.

Iamnotacerealkiller · 20/05/2019 19:20

@Nameusernameuser

You will likely find that you wont be as hungry so won't necessarily need as much food.

however my go to fillers are...

buttered savoy cabbage
coleslaw
veg soup
big pile of spinach
fried courgette
spicy fried couliflour

Bloodybigbabybelly · 20/05/2019 19:29

@Nameusernameuser I have a tight budget as well. Lots of eggs, chicken thighs and cheap mince. I think this woe can work quite well on a budget as the fattier cuts tend to be cheaper.

PushkarKali · 20/05/2019 19:59

Three and a half pounds lost this week, and I am quite chuffed. Looking at the spreadsheet everyone has done so well.

Absolutely pooped today for some reason - it might be the new allotment that’s worn me out. I did power yoga tonight but was not particularly powerful Grin Still, meatballs for dinner with loads of vegetables. I also sleep a lot better on this way of eating. I suspect the lack of booze has something to do with that !
