I love this week - when we find out how much people have lost, and all those of you who haven't really believed it will work are proved wrong!

Here's the spreadsheet

I hope that the scales have been kind to you, or that your measurements have gone down and your clothes are feeling looser!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress.

Here's to a great week 2 as well

Thank you BIWI.
Enjoy the rest of your evening

MrsTerryPratcett · 20/01/2019 23:34

Thanks for week 1!

chocolateavocado99 · 21/01/2019 03:52

Thanks for the new spreadsheet.
I am a little disappointed that I have only lost 1 lb his week. But my thighs are not rubbing together, my bras are too big and I can see that I have slimmed out in my waist. Just wish the scales showed it.
I also started Jan 2 and am down 6 lbs since then. Maybe next week I will do better.

BIWI · 21/01/2019 03:58

Ah @chocolateavocado99 but you're now at the mercy of the infamous weeks 3 and 4! It's widely reported that in these two weeks weight loss slows or even stops. It's all to do with your body getting used to low carbing, and the fact that in the first couple of weeks you're also using up your glycogen stores.

Don't be disheartened! You've lost almost half a stone which is great. Just KOKO (keep on keeping on) and things will start to get going again soon.

Just remember that you can see the results, and that it's working!

Hi all! Thanks for week 1. It's been great checking in with everyone!

I haven't had much change on the scales this week either. I begun LC on the 17th of December and have lost 5.4 kilos total (so 5 ish weeks in I think?) but had no shift on the scales (96.4kgs). I'm not massively discouraged tho - my period arrived Friday and knowing my body the scales should 🤞Start moving again end of this week.
I do know I need to up my water intake to 3.5 - 4 litres again. Definitely dropped of the water consumption this week to 2 - 3 litres a day hasn't helped in the heat.

BIWI · 21/01/2019 04:20

How could you not be drinking water in all that heat?!

Checking in. I should be sleeping. I'll get to bed in a minute but didn't want to lose the thread.

Weighing in later today.

WhatTheFronti · 21/01/2019 04:45

It's easily done when in and out of the house. Days I m at home 4 litres = easy. In and out, running errands I'll have my (1.5 litre) bottle with me ( plus 3x kids bottles too) drink it but am then playing catch up in arvo/before bedtime to drink the rest 😩
I live in rural aus so cold places to refill are few and far between. We keep emergency water in car incase car breaks down etc but hot water - belurgh 🤢

chocolateavocado99 · 21/01/2019 05:38

Thanks BIWI.
I just went to the toilet and realised I got my period. No pmt (which is unusual for me) but I guess that could also account for the low loss this week.
I also live in a hot country and struggle to drink water when out. At work, I easily drink 3L, on weekends not so much.
Good luck to everyone who us just waking up to weigh in.

boldlygoingsomewhere · 21/01/2019 06:07

Good luck with the weigh-ins, everyone. TOTM for me so no loss to speak off.

nowlook · 21/01/2019 06:28

Morning all!

6lbs down here! I’m a daily weigher, so thought it might be 7 (taking me into the 130s). Still a fantastic result, so am chuffed!

Good luck all!

Tryingnottobesociallyawkward · 21/01/2019 06:55

Checking for week 2. 6lbs down this morning so that's a boost for the beginning of the week.

2019IsGonnaBeMyYear · 21/01/2019 06:58

3.4lb loss here, pleased with that as struggled getting my head in the game this week! Here's to a shiney new week!!

YessicaHaircut · 21/01/2019 07:02

Morning all and well done on the losses!

I’m down 1.8lb to 161.8 (shows on spreadsheet as 162 for some reason, but the loss is shown accurately). Very happy with that as only aiming for 1lb per week.

I’ve really enjoyed the food this week and pretty much stayed on plan. Thanks to BIWI and also to everyone for posting as I’ve enjoyed reading how you’re all getting on and also getting some ideas for what to eat. Tried fried avocado for the first time and it was great!

Hope you all have a good second week Star

Darkbaptism · 21/01/2019 07:02

5.8lbs gone here, am pleased with this!

Nyon · 21/01/2019 07:04

Annoyingly, my week three weight loss didn’t exist - the third week stall + a contraceptive induced period that’s left me insanely bloated and uncomfortable all week. My hope is that the 2lb loss glimpsed yesterday comes off this week and some extra for a whoosh. Incredibly frustrating tho when I’ve been so bloody well behaved 😡.

Nyon · 21/01/2019 07:04

Well done for anyone who did lose tho!

AandL · 21/01/2019 07:05

Morning all, was hoping for 4 as i was lower on Friday but hey I will take it!
Good luck and Koko girls

GerrysSuccessor · 21/01/2019 07:10

3lb off here, didn’t have a good weekend so undid some of my good work last week but am determined to beat my demons and sort my head out this week.

GerrysSuccessor · 21/01/2019 07:11

I hasten to add I know 3lb is good but I’ve got a lot to lose and earlier in the week before my transgressions at the weekend I was headed towards at least 5lb off and breaking into the 17st bracket (told you I had a lot to lose!)

SheldonTheWonderShlong · 21/01/2019 07:16

Well done all.

5 lbs for me. A good start.

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 21/01/2019 07:19

Morning all, my weight is exactly the same. As predicted. But this is fairly normal for me. So no downheartedness here. Well done everyone who has seen the scales move the right way.

Burnshersmurfs · 21/01/2019 07:19

Thanks for explaining the week 3 & 4 situation, @BIWI. I was wondering why I had stalled a bit this week (started at the beginning of Jan). I’ve lost an inch from my waist and hips, though, and generally feel so much better. Off for a job interview this morning (only for a small side-line job) so glad to be nearly back at my I’m-ok-with-this weight. It really helps my confidence.

AandL · 21/01/2019 07:20

Im trying to attach pic on my phone but the paperclip button is doing nothing

Rshard · 21/01/2019 07:24

Morning all

Thanks for the new thread @BIWI

Also 6lbs down, really happy. Well done to all the losers, let’s koko! Looking forward to week 2!
