I love this week - when we find out how much people have lost, and all those of you who haven't really believed it will work are proved wrong!

Here's the spreadsheet

I hope that the scales have been kind to you, or that your measurements have gone down and your clothes are feeling looser!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress.

Here's to a great week 2 as well

Thats just over 10lbs down for me, I've got loads to go though... One thing I didn't think of - this is going to get very expensive in clothes as I drop sizes, I need to go shopping this week. If anyone could use 2 pairs of nearly new Levis (one blue one black) in size 20 then I'd be happy to send them for postage.

Hermie12 · 21/01/2019 07:30

Great seeing the positive results well done everyone ! I’ve just weighed in and 2lbs off for me. Really chuffed with that as week 2 for me and I’ve found 2nd week slow going previously. So total of 5lbs in 2 weeks 😀.
Yesterday b. Greek yoghurt, teaspoon of flaxseed. I have to have these or get seriously bunged up
L. Bacon, scrambled egg, mushroom, spinach
D. Went to my sisters. Had roast beef, veggies and avoided all the naughties
Handful of almonds and peanuts .
Have a great day everyone

MrsFionaCharming · 21/01/2019 07:34

I didn’t have a great weekend, diet wise, but I managed to lose 5lb over the week! Excited to see how much better I can do this week if I really stick to it!

JellySlice · 21/01/2019 07:36

Blimey! I've lost 6lb!

I have never before lost so much in one week, and see absolutely no difference in my clothes.

Well done everyone Smile

(Now I've just got to work out how to access the spreadsheet so that I can log it. I may have to use the desktop computer.)

CowGurl · 21/01/2019 07:43

4 lbs off, which I think is amazing, considering the amount of food that I have eaten!!! Kept to the rules but my portion sizes were OTT - wanted to make sure I wasn't tempted to go off plan.

Thanks BIWI and all the helpful comments/suggestions/recipes from everyone on the thread.

Littleorangetree · 21/01/2019 07:43

Morning everyone!

3lbs down for me, which is great. I'm still not drinking enough water though, which I need to improve this week.

Also need to think about upping the exercise a bit.

Hope you all have a fabulous week 2 Smile.

venusandmars · 21/01/2019 07:58

2.8lbs off (I think, assuming my scales are playing ball with me this morning). Pleased about that, I feel like I've eaten a lot.

Peggyyoudonkey · 21/01/2019 08:02

2lbs off this week so back to my pre-Christmas 12lb off in total and very happy with that.

Hanbu · 21/01/2019 08:06

Hi everyone, great to hear how everyone is doing.
Am worried I am eating too much
B mushroom, fried egg, spinach, quern bacon vlc
L tuna fish cakes, lettuce spinach 1/2 avocado, cucumber, vinaigrette
D cauliflower, broccoli,grated cheese,mashed celeriac
Thanks

tootstastic · 21/01/2019 08:06

Ooh some lovely losses, well done everyone!

I'm pleased with 2.2lbs off and I've managed to get into the 15s. So 15st 13.6lbs, down from 18st 10lbs. 92.6lbs to go.

strantia · 21/01/2019 08:07

8lb off which is great, makes up for the sickness breath. Very useful reading everyone’s recipes and tips, thanks.

latebloomingleo · 21/01/2019 08:08

Ah, no real movement for me Blush. But since the start of the year I’ve lost 7lb. Think this is about portion control and over-enthusiastic use of cream, plus not enough water. Will do better this week Smile

venusandmars · 21/01/2019 08:09

Plan for today:
B - Avocado, egg
L - ?? going to visit a friend, but she knows I'm lc so I'm expecting soup and salad. I'll eat some extra cheese if it's a bit low fat..
D - greek burgers (minced chicken with onion, chopped olives, feta cheese) served with salad and ff yogurt cucumber and mint dip (might put some mayo in there too. Potato wedges for dh.

BrassicaBabe · 21/01/2019 08:12

Some great losses here. Well done!

Most of the week I was hovering between saying the same and 1lb off. Had doner meat for tea last night (no pitta!!) and out 2.5lb ON Shock

howhowhow · 21/01/2019 08:14

Please can I join? I've been doing bsd. I started 2 January and have lost 13.3lbs since then. Loss for this week is 8.6lb. I'm now exactly 15 stone and want to lose 4 more. I'm horrified I have allowed myself to get so large.

Fairnair · 21/01/2019 08:25

Good morning, lost 4lb which I am pleased about. Going to concentrate on 1/2 a stone at a time, as ideally should lose at least 5 stone overall, but realise this is a long term goal, Bootcamp is to get me started.

This week I need to do better on drinking water, some days do really well, and other days I don't.

Hope everyone has a great Week 2!

AandL · 21/01/2019 08:35

My results

Week 2 - January Low Carb Bootcamp - my favourite week!
nowlook · 21/01/2019 08:36

Well done everyone!

Is there a week missing from the spreadsheet, or do we not weigh in at the end of week 2?

Notlostjustexploring · 21/01/2019 08:37

My special snowflake scales are now showing a 9lb variation in weight!! Just not on.

I shan't be updating my numbers until I've been to Argos for a nice new analogue set.

Humph.

Well done on all the losses so far!!!

nowlook · 21/01/2019 08:43

@AandL What sorcery is that?

BIWI · 21/01/2019 09:02

@Hanbu

Why do you think you're eating too much?

B mushroom, fried egg, spinach, quern bacon vlc

This looks fine to me - perfect low carb bacon - although I'm not sure what 'quern bacon vlc' means? Is it 'Quorn bacon very low calorie'?!

L tuna fish cakes, lettuce spinach 1/2 avocado, cucumber, vinaigrette

Again perfect - although I hope your vinaigrette was home-made, with oil, and didn't have any sugar/sweeteners in it?

D cauliflower, broccoli, grated cheese, mashed celeriac

This is OK, although there's no protein and not very much fat here - why is that?

Overall, unless you're piling your plate high, this doesn't look too bad in terms of quantities - why are you concerned?

6.5ib here, which I am astonished by (never more than a couple of pounds a week max usually, with lots of stalls) but I need to focus more on getting the water in: I read on MFP that drinking 500ml of water increases metabolism by 30% for three hours.

Not feeling quite so bad about glugging as I was previously!

Methemummy · 21/01/2019 09:04

Wow loss of 5.8lbs great considering Istarted TOTM this morning. Very pleased as no migraine / PMS symptoms either. Looking forward to this week.

1Wildheartsease · 21/01/2019 09:04

Very happy with just over 2lb lost (this is the end of my second week since Christmas). Only 24lb to go :) though I'm hoping for a 10 loss this bootcamp.

I have a 3 day visit to friends in Europe this week. It will be tricky to stay on plan but I intend to do my best. ( I know from past bootcamps that it is possible to be 'flexi' about one-off situations like this. ) Anyway, the weather is very cold over there just now and I have a new warm coat that only just fits - there is no room for error inside it.

BIWI · 21/01/2019 09:05

Some great losses here - well done!

Those who haven't lost, hopefully it's because you're in weeks 3 or 4 - if not, hopefully you've realised what you've been doing/not doing?

But if you haven't lost, or you haven't lost as much as others, please don't despair!. Don't use this as an excuse to go off piste, as if you do, the only thing you'll be guaranteeing is that you definitely won't lose any weight!

It's not a competition. We're all different, and we lose at different rates. So someone might have lost more than half a stone this week - but next week might not lose anything, whereas you will!
