I love this week - when we find out how much people have lost, and all those of you who haven't really believed it will work are proved wrong!

Here's the spreadsheet

I hope that the scales have been kind to you, or that your measurements have gone down and your clothes are feeling looser!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress.

Here's to a great week 2 as well

2lbs down
It’s my 3rd week so I’m happy. I’m sure the scales recorded another 2 pounds loss sometime last week, but after a week of TOM, let’s but be happy with 2lbs down.

Just got back from Lidl, so need to reorganise the fridge, cook a big batch of my weekly soup and other batch cooking.

Ladies, Well done on the losses and KOKO Flowers

Collectorofcookbooks · 21/01/2019 10:54

3.8lbs down for me, pleased but it was 4.5 yesterday morning! Ah well. I was tripped up by not drinking enough water at the weekend I think.

But all in the right direction - and another 2lbs, and I'll be back down to where I got to in 10 weeks with the last bootcamp.

Already 2l of water down today, am determined to keep on top of the hydration and see if I can get rid of this darn headache.

1stMrsF · 21/01/2019 11:05

Couldn't post all weekend as the app kicked me out and the reset my password wouldn't work on my phone. Missed posting but kept up with the thread. Well done everyone for a successful first week!

The picture is a food highlight from the weekend: my sister made Bibimbap on Saturday night - a Korean ricebowl (without the rice). It was really really tasty and lots of veggies. @BIWI it was made with this Garlic and Chilli Sauce which is very carby but only a couple of spoonfuls in 4 servings - therefore is this one I could repeat (and should post on the recipe thread) or is it something to avoid? I guess you could make with fresh garlic and chillis instead. I also made Egg & Bacon 'muffins/' on Saturday morning (from the Fast 800 book) which were lovely.

3.6lbs off for me, which is 6.6lbs total (one week low carb-ish before BC started). This has taken me through the first of my milestones, I'm now under 200lbs!

1lb off , which I was a little disappointed with , however I was on the last Bootcamp , and I’m 10lb down since October which sounds much better
Also , if I only lose one pound a week for 10 weeks , that will still bring me down to my almost unachievable fantasy goal weight of 10st 5lb
So , something to aim for !
@Bibliomania , I caught a glimpse of collar bone too !
Ribs next 😀
I like the sound of Buddha bowls , ( strokes own nice , not quite so round , tummy ) thanks for link @Cecelia

4lb down here, but 8lb down since the 1st of this month. Off to centerparcs next week, have absolutely no idea what I'll eat! Going with my mum and siblings, DP and my DS. We never really eat out and have made a meal plan, I got vetoed on the Mac and cheese, so might bring a steak to have with the salad that night. I think I might end up eating some carbs but will be sensible and not shovel pasta and rice into me!

bandit34 · 21/01/2019 11:38

3.3 lbs down !!! I am not able to put on spreadsheet.

Dia12 · 21/01/2019 11:45

Well done on shifting those lbs everyone! Really interesting information about water increasing metabolism @Hefzi - this should motivate me to drink more as I find it a real struggle but I know when I do, it helps.

Your dinner looks fab @1stMrsF !!! Looking forward to that recipe!

I have lost ONE lb 😐 BUT I'm focusing on my clothes feel more comfortable and like another pp said my knickers are looser! So I'm hoping my stubborn weight will shift with a bit more time. 🤞

MrsKoala · 21/01/2019 11:54

Well done everyone on all the losses.

I'm disappointed as I've only lost 2lb and I've been really sticking to it. I haven't gone off piste once. So I don't understand why it's so low. The other times I've done this woe its been about 5-7lb in the first week. Trying to not feel downhearted and enjoying everyone elses successes.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/01/2019 11:59

i've put you on, @bandit34!

prettybird · 21/01/2019 12:01

Just noticed that my really long post didn't post SadAngry

Anyway, long and short of it is that I am down 4.5lb to 11st 2.5lb, despite or because of a weekend away and am 0.5lb away from where I got to before Christmas Smile (and actually c10lb down from the high point after Christmas Shock)

bandit34 · 21/01/2019 12:03

You are an Angel @AthelstaneTheUnready.

Thank you so much x

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/01/2019 12:05

MrsKoala, you have had a success! Instead of being heavier, or the same weight, you have lost lbs!

Because you've been sticking to it. The chances are, having BC'd before, lots of good habits had stuck, which means you didn't have such a massive store of carbs to drop down from, so you wouldn't see such drama. It's all in the right direction, so congratulate yourself for having lost a heavy bag of sugar equivalent, and go and have a lovely creamy coffee Grin

BrassicaBabe · 21/01/2019 12:29

Despite my doner meat related gain HmmI just ran my furthest ever distance at nearly 11k! (Doner meat powered?!) I've been LCHF since Sept '17 but having a week "off" over Xmas and then bad running times so far in January made me wonder if I was having to go through fat adaption over again?

Can anyone recommend a weight loss graph app? I've got over a years worth of entries I'd like to graph. Excel won't graph more than 255 entries. Well, that's all I can get out of it. TIA

1stMrsF · 21/01/2019 12:39

@BrassicaBabe I'm using Weight Diary and I really like it.

Liveinthepresent · 21/01/2019 12:40

Hello Bootcamp - well done to all the losers and maintainers.
I am sidling in once again in the hope you lot can help me get back on the straight and narrow !! I have done this before and it worked - but somehow I been off piste in a bad way and currently weigh more than ever .
It’s really getting me down nothing much fits me and those things that do look awful really- I don’t recognise myself really. I think I have finally reached the point where I am ready to tackle it!
I need to lose at least 2 stone. But my first goal is 7 lbs by half term as we are going away and a swimsuit will need to be worn in front of my PIL.
If I can lose a stone by easter that would feel amazing.

I have a few days working at home this week so no excuses to deviate .
B - eggs with mushrooms and grated cheese
L - tuna mayo and avocado with salad
D - low carb shepherds pie with green veg

I can do this .....

prettybird · 21/01/2019 12:43

You can do this liveinthepresent Flowers

That menu plan looks good. Make sure to have plenty of water too.

Rshard · 21/01/2019 12:45

@brassica, do you have a garmin? I thought you might as you’re a runner, you can track weight on the accompanying app

Haworthia · 21/01/2019 12:57

Just logged into my MyFitnessPal app for the first time since October 2015. I used it to track my weight since starting my first Bootcamp in June 2015. My second child was five weeks old and I started at 152lb (which was a big deal because I’m only 5’3”). Anyway, it’s really interesting to see the graph, which goes up and down but the overall trend is down. Between that June and October I lost a stone, plus another half stone by Jan/Feb.

This WOE really does work, and I managed to look after a baby and a preschooler without feeling like I had to fall face first into the biscuit tin to survive the witching hours. Don’t get me wrong, I did allow myself the odd cake and McDonalds (my two main vices) when I wasn’t strictly Bootcamping. Sometimes I don’t low carb, I semi low carb Grin But looking at the graph, I think I’ve been maintaining pretty well!

Inlovewithchocolate · 21/01/2019 13:37

Hi Can I join in please. I started Low Carbing beginning of January and ive lost 7lbs. I would like to lose another stone so am hoping i can achieve this. If I fall off the wagon does it take longer to get back into keto. Just got a couple of events coming up so was wondering. I dont want to cave in though.

MrsKoala · 21/01/2019 13:49

Thank you for the words of comfort Athelstane. But sadly no, I have been living entirely off pizza, bread, porridge and pasta since September.

I think the reasons I haven't lost as much as I have before are because 1) last time I was heavier so had more to lose - I find the last stone is always stubborn and I am probably in my healthy BMI now. 2) Exercise - last time I was doing spin, bodypump or pilates everyday and 3) BFing - my body seems to cling to it's fat stores and losing weight while I am is always much harder.

Anyway, it's in the right direction and I feel good and my skin looks nice so that is totally worth it. So i'm not feeling too down hearted (I just miss that feeling when you get on the scales and you can't believe your eyes!)

BIWI · 21/01/2019 14:12

By the way, those of you craving something to snack on - I discovered these a while ago (but had forgotten about them till I went shopping this morning!)

Marmite cheddar bites

I love cheese and I love Marmite, and together this is a really savoury experience - each one is only .2g carbs.

BIWI · 21/01/2019 14:12

@1stMrsF that looks tasty! As long as there were only a couple of spoonfuls between four then that should be OK

BrassicaBabe · 21/01/2019 14:13

@1stMrsF Thanks. I'll have a look
@Rshard 🤦‍♀️doh. Garmin! Of course. Thanks x

1stMrsF · 21/01/2019 14:17

Thanks, I will post it in the meat recipe thread

MrsTerryPratcett · 21/01/2019 14:20

Week 3 for me and I've stalled from Wednesday. Still 2 lbs down because of early in the week loss. But I would have been very down-hearted at the plateau if you hadn't told us about weeks 3 and 4.

Thanks BIWI!
