I love this week - when we find out how much people have lost, and all those of you who haven't really believed it will work are proved wrong!

Here's the spreadsheet

I hope that the scales have been kind to you, or that your measurements have gone down and your clothes are feeling looser!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress.

Here's to a great week 2 as well

Of course BIWI, you are right.

However I’m not in this for dramatic weight loss because I don’t need to, and I’m so happy with my weight loss so far. Don’t think my scales have been this low since my 20s (I’m 38). Not saying it to show off, just to give a bit of perspective as to why I allowed myself a cheat day today.

Ahh, venus, I know I'd find it hard to be assertive with 88 year olds.

Something about amount of effort made v. time left on this planet v. ease of explanation = actually sometimes someone else is more important.

If you're going every Sunday, though, you're going to have to come up with a plan!

m0therofdragons · 27/01/2019 20:44

Tonight we had turkey, onions and peppers stir fried then I used Philadelphia chive cream cheese as the sauce on a bed of broccoli and dds had some penne pasta added. It was delicious! (Lunch tomorrow will be left overs Grin)

Lunch was going to be an omelette tea but I know I have a danger of being egged-out on this woe so had Caesar salad dressing on lettuce with bacon and halloumi (only a little as I'm
also trying not to go ott on the cheese).

Feels like a successful day but I guess I'll see in the morning.

SlinkyDinkyDoo Fathead Pizza is a keto recipe that seems to create a pizza base from egg mixture. Everyone seemed to love it, I never tried it, but all reports were that it’s very filling.

Google it and see if it appeals.

venusandmars · 27/01/2019 20:57

Fortunately it's not a frequent occurrence, dh goes without me often, and next time I go I will insist on taking the food. It's so unlike MIL to cook something like that, or to make pudding - she usually has a miniscule appetite and one course is enough.

I've just been drinking water ever since (hoping to flush out the sugar).

Philadelphia sauce sounds lovely m0therofdragons. I definitely need some new meal ideas before I do the weekly shop, and I’m going to try that.

I love Fathead dough and have been making it solidly for the last 3.5 years. I rarely make pizza with it, but use it as a bread substitute. It’d really recommend giving it a go.

MrsKoala · 27/01/2019 21:15

B - 2 poached duck eggs with leeks and mushrooms fried in butter
L - 2 rashers of bacon with a green salad and an avocado
D - Roast lamb, celeriac dauphinoise and broccoli

I have been thinking about portions today BIWI and my salad is half a bag of leaves (40g) and the dressing is 1tbsp extra virgin olive oil and 1 tsp white wine vinegar - I hope that is okay? I had only 2 eggs at breakfast but had lots of buttery leeks and mushrooms which seemed to keep me going.

Doilooklikeatourist · 27/01/2019 21:22

Had a much better day today 😀
B lay in with 2 coffees
Brunch 2 egg cheese omlette
D pork fillet with fajita spice , mushrooms , tomato , onion in a buttery sauce , avocado and lettuce salad
Loads of water , and some more black coffee
Have to say I’m looking forward to some berries with my Greek yoghurt in the morning 👍

WhatTheFronti · 27/01/2019 22:36

Monday morning is here (Aus time) and I'm so happy to report after last week's no shift on the scales (week 5 for me) I've dropped 1.3kgs!
That's about 6.3kgs since mid December.
So happy and so motivated to Koko!

1stMrsF · 27/01/2019 22:37

B - fasted through to 12 after exercise class

1stMrsF · 27/01/2019 22:39

Bl**dy phone

L - bacon, fried egg, field mushrooms and tomatoes, creamy coffee. Swerved potato farls and baked beans.
D - chefs salad ham, egg, pate, small amount cheddar with leaves

BIWI · 27/01/2019 23:00

Sounds good @MrsKoala!

@Haworthia just be mindful of all the people reading your post though - it's important, especially for newbies, that people realise that you can't easily cheat on this WOE. I'm very glad for you that you're not in this for dramatic weight loss, but others are - including all those who are lurking at the back!

Good job @WhatTheFronti Flowers. How are you bearing up in all that heat?

A bit of heat would be lovely over here if you could arrange that, please?

WhatTheFronti · 27/01/2019 23:13

@BIWI thank you! I'm so happy. Still have a long way to go (20kgs!) but am thrilled and boot camp is a great support.

The heat has dulled a little (low to mid 30s for this week- which is our summer norm) much more bearable than the 47c we had last week 😩 garden is burnt shrivelled mess.... wish I could send this summer elsewhere!

MrsKoala · 27/01/2019 23:20

I've had to have a piece of cheese. I was so hungry I felt faint. My stomach was really growling. It's been 5 hours since dinner and I just had to have something. I'm still hungry but trying to feel fuller after a cup of tea with lacto free milk. I've just got dd to sleep so i'll try to sleep too. She's not been very well the last few days and has been feeding almost constantly (I fed 5am -9am then sat on the sofa with her throughout the day) so maybe that's the cause of the hunger.

CeciliaMcFlange · 28/01/2019 00:54

Also checking in from Australia, had a mesly loss of 0.5lb, wk 3 or 4 (can't remember) and AF arrived yesterday so not to distraught - scales still heading in the right direction even if slower. Total loss of 8.2lbs with another 20lbs to go.

WhatTheFonti our garden is all crispy too. So sad.

CeciliaMcFlange · 28/01/2019 00:54

measly

BalloonSlayer · 28/01/2019 07:22

I wish we didn't have to weigh in on a Monday morning. It's always my heaviest day (before this I thought it was because I ate more at the weekends but i absolutely bloody don't on this diet and if I say so myself I was excellent yesterday)

So only a pound down for me this week but still heading in the right direction and very chuffed.

I was out to lunch yesterday and managed to stick to plan despite massive temptation, really enjoyed my meal and felt fantastically full, so that I only had some cheese for dinner.

I hope to dip below one milestone weight this week but am not convinced I will manage it.

Thanks for everything BIWI !! Flowers

SummerSazz · 28/01/2019 07:35

I've had 3 days and nights out this week with work and am now away again. Managed evens this week so I'm pleased with that and will be back home weds and hopefully can then start to lose again.

Always going to be a tough week this week and I'm happy to have done 'ok' and won't beat myself up and land in a basket of bread.....

Well done to all those continuing to lose and KOKO!

MrsFionaCharming · 28/01/2019 07:46

I thought I’d been really good this week - failed on one meal when I went for dinner at a new friends house and he served lasagne.

Apparently I haven’t been good enough - I gained a lb!

nowlook · 28/01/2019 07:53

Morning all! 4lbs down for me this week, so 10lbs overall. Thrilled to be honest. That said, I didn't drink anywhere near enough water yesterday, so I'm going to test the theory that it will show up on the scales tomorrow!

May well stick to the stricter rules for a couple more weeks, rather than allow myself the odd drink. If a have the odd drink, I always need another to even it up Grin

I feel for those who are disappointed this morning, but fully expect to stall for the next couple of weeks while your weight whooshes off.

Rshard · 28/01/2019 07:54

A lb down here, pleased as that makes 7lbs overall so far.

Well done to the losers and those that haven’t but are koko!

Ready to face week three and hoping to avoid the dreaded stall. Good luck everyone

Bloodybigbabybelly · 28/01/2019 07:58

5lb down this week but it is my first week. Really struggling to drink enough water I need to have 4.5 litres Shock. Any tips?

CrustyBreadHead · 28/01/2019 08:05

MrsK please dont starve yourself if you are breastfeeding, look after yourself. Breastfeeding takes a lot out of you.

Mimosa1 · 28/01/2019 08:06

400g off here. I was doing BC lite so I can't complain but I know what I needed to do to lose more as I've got a long way to go (15kg).
