I love this week - when we find out how much people have lost, and all those of you who haven't really believed it will work are proved wrong!

Here's the spreadsheet

I hope that the scales have been kind to you, or that your measurements have gone down and your clothes are feeling looser!

I look forward to hearing about everyone's progress.

Here's to a great week 2 as well

@Bloodybigbabybelly I alternative between still and sparkling and drink the sparkling out of a massive wine glass...it feels extraordinarily decadent at 7am. Grin

Just popping in to report my official weigh-in for my late start today:

Morning all. Just off to start the new thread. Just want to pick up on a few things here first!

@MrsKoala

I've had to have a piece of cheese. I was so hungry I felt faint

Look - this W|OE isn't about deprivation. Of course you must eat if you're hungry - and if you're so hungry you're going to faint surely it's obviously that you need to eat something? I've always said that! If you're breastfeeding that much as well it's especially important. You know that this WOE works for you because you're losing the weight, but please don't make it something that's dangerous for you (or your baby)

@Bloodybigbabybelly the only way to do it is to space it out over the day. As soon as you're up in the morning, have a glass of water. And when that's finished, fill up your glass. Keep it to hand, and keep sipping from it. Vary things a bit - so have some sparkling, or have some with a slice of lemon or have some hot, instead of a cup of tea or coffee.

@MrsFionaCharming well it's only a pound! This isn't a very forgiving WOE, and any cheat (even if intended/mindful) will have consequences. I'm sorry about that, and I do know that sometimes these things can't be avoided - we're invited to dinner tonight at some friends of friends; we haven't been asked if there's anything we can eat/would like to eat, so I haven't had any opportunity to talk about being low carb. So now I'm just going to have to eat what's put in front of me. It's annoying, but in the great scheme of things, it's far better to just go with the flow and enjoy the evening. There's nothing I can do about it!

Just make sure that you have a strict week, and hopefully that pesky pound will disappear soon.

Anyway off to start the new thread.

Arghhh 1.5lbs on. My own fault as was at a family get together this weekend and whilst I didn't overeat it wasn't possible to stay completely on plan. I decided to just go with the flow and try to make best choices I could. Didn't expect it to throw 1.5lbs on me though - especially as I seriously upped the exercise to try and off set the additional food.

BIWI · 28/01/2019 08:46

@CassieStuart

See my post above yours!

What you've done is to re-fill your glycogen stores, so it's not actual fat that you have gained. Drink even more lots of water, keep your fat up, do more exercise and it should disappear as soon as it arrived!

In the meantime, here's the week 3 chat thread:

Thanks BIWI the 'baby' is fine, she is a tank and gets more than enough food. She's just a comfort feeder on me and when she's ill she uses the boob to soothe her. We're both okay. I just had dinner earlier than normal and hadn't planned to still be awake at 11.30pm as i'd been up since 5 so it's a long day on only 3 meals. I need to be more prepared and keep boiled eggs in the fridge I think. I was at a loss as what to snack on as my fridge is filled with raw meat and vegetables!

It turned out to be an even longer day as i'd just got into bed and at 12.15am DS2 puked in my hair and all over the bed. So it was up and in the shower and changing the bed and didn't I get back into it till 2am. Sigh.

Anyway, I have still lost the 3lb from this week and the 2lb from the first week so that puts me at 5lb down which I am happy with. In a fit of rage at myself on Saturday night I joined the local gym. I'm hoping that introducing a little exercise will keep things going in the right direction.

Bloodybigbabybelly · 28/01/2019 08:53

@nowlook I can just imagine the cat bum faces of the neighbours as I waft around at 7am with a new born and a giant wine glass Grin

nowlook · 28/01/2019 08:58

@Bloodybigbabybelly Worth it just for that, no? I fancy myself quite the tragic Hollywood starlet; in reality, I'm more Miss Hannigan from Annie.

m0therofdragons · 28/01/2019 10:47

2lb off this week so 4lb in total. Very jealous of those loosing 4lb in one week. I've been really on plan all week with no slip ups so I'm disappointed as I'd lost the 2lb by Friday and had hoped a good weekend would take off another lb. looks like it's going to be slow for me. At least I'm heading in the right direction, I've not been tempted by bread at all this week and am looking forward to berries next week.

Officially gone up this week. Meh.
