Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the the Weight Tracker (I hope that link works but apologies if it doesn't!)

So we come to our first weigh-in. I know from last week's thread that results are going to be a bit mixed - but I hope that most of you will see a good loss.

If you haven't, don't panic! Sometimes it can take a bit of time for your body to trust you, especially if you're a bit of a serial dieter.

If you think you've been doing everything according to the rules, but still haven't seen a loss, then list out for me your meals over the last 3 or 4 days and let me see if I can spot anything obvious.

But whatever the results are today, please remember it's not a competition!

We all lose weight at different rates. And someone who sees a big loss in one week isn't going to see that every week.

And remember - it's not all about what the scales tell you. You'll find that your body shape can change even if the scales remain unchanged!

Good luck to you all.

tip- don't add salt. I did the 1st time, but the bacon lardons are salty enough and it spoiled it.

Hi all. Still no scales at home so no idea on weight loss but my waist is another 5 cm smaller over two weeks so I'm thrilled. Even my vast hips have finally given up a bit - down 2 cm (that's taken six weeks ).

Does this woe particularly shift belly fat? That's not where my problem is but I've lost 9 cm in total off my waist which was already an acceptable size compared to 2 cm off my extremely unacceptable hips Hmm

Anyway, doing well at just keeping going. I'm not that tempted atm to fall off the wagon. I seem to be on an even keel food wise which is odd for me. Previously I would eat well for a week or two and it would all be easy and then one day I'd be tired or drained and I'd find myself in the supermarket buying 3 or 4 chocolate treats to eat and then I'd be stuck in that place for a week, living off sweet stuff and bread, and then back to the good eating for another fortnight then off again. I've never really figured out what's going on there - fatigue, hormones, emotions, or all of the above. But atm I seem to be oddly stable. It's interesting - I like it!

Night out for friend's bday last night and food was not ideal but I managed. Then weirdly I had the worst night's sleep I've had in years. Wide awake till 5am, woke at 6am and had to get up at 8am. Heaven knows what that was about? Is that a LC thing?

Today my only problem (other than exhaustion) is lack of water. We (DCs 8 and 5 and me) did the Westminster Mile this morning so didn't drink much as I was worried about finding toilets. I needn't have worried as it was brilliantly organised and we had a lot of fun. I was worried it would be too much for my 5yo but he loved it and was faster than me (not hard). Anyway the net result is I was low on water by lunchtime and normally I aim to have drunk 2l by then. So I'll be below target today but planning a quiet day tomorrow so can focus on the water.

I've found that I sleep better when I'm LCing preminstrel do you have much caffeine?

mummyto3under4 · 25/05/2015 01:21

I feel great scales tell a different story and people only have positive comments about my skin and change in body shape.

I hate pictures of myself but this weekend I absolutely love taking pictures of myself my face looks thinner and my cloths feel looser.. I'm SOOOO HAPPYY I wish I'd started this WOE ages ago!! My portions are tiny but to my shrinking tummy feel huge.

Quick question for the dairy free boot campers. I sent DH to get me some DF cheese but after reading the ingridiamts I cannot have it and it has potato starch.
What do you all snack on cheese was my main snack and also trying to cut out processed meats so that eliminates all the cold pork stuff eg salami cocktail sausages ham etc etc

Ok very naughty BIWI, but I've created something AMAZING for when that sweet tooth grabs you and gotta do something about it! It's like proper cheesecake:-
Ingredients
Philadelphia
Double cream
Cocoa powder (I used bournville)
Truvia sweetener
Whisk together until the cream thickens then add some chopped strawberries.

Obv the sweetener ain't great but I have had this twice this weekend and still in ketosis. Im well adapted though, I'm on about week 8.

sassandfaff · 25/05/2015 10:28

Morning.

I'm on my new chromebook and it still won't let me add!

Dp is here and very tec savvy and he cant add me on it either. So now i know it's not just me being stupid. Wink

I have lost 2 lb since last mon, but i'm still 1lb up on my lowest last week.

Posting this in the hope that this helps people to see how much you can fluctuate on a daily /weekly basis. Smile

if someone can add 187 for me please? TIA

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 25/05/2015 11:29

People who are gaining weight - are you measuring yourselves? Sometimes the loss is more in size than weight - if your clothes are looser, or you've lost cms, then that's a good sign anyway, even if your weight isn't doing what you want.

Plus, you could be in line for a whoosh, if you're drinking enough water that is.

TheCowThatLaughs · 25/05/2015 12:44

I've lost 5lb and gone below 13st for the first time in about 7 or 8 years Smile

Hissy · 25/05/2015 13:03

ditavonteesed · 25/05/2015 19:52

well done.
Does anyone else get a sort of fizzy feeling across their tummy the night before a loss? Its odd not like gurgling tummy much smaller just kind of vibrating a little bit, then next moring always more off than usual.
