Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the the Weight Tracker (I hope that link works but apologies if it doesn't!)

So we come to our first weigh-in. I know from last week's thread that results are going to be a bit mixed - but I hope that most of you will see a good loss.

If you haven't, don't panic! Sometimes it can take a bit of time for your body to trust you, especially if you're a bit of a serial dieter.

If you think you've been doing everything according to the rules, but still haven't seen a loss, then list out for me your meals over the last 3 or 4 days and let me see if I can spot anything obvious.

But whatever the results are today, please remember it's not a competition!

We all lose weight at different rates. And someone who sees a big loss in one week isn't going to see that every week.

And remember - it's not all about what the scales tell you. You'll find that your body shape can change even if the scales remain unchanged!

Good luck to you all.

ditavonteesed · 18/05/2015 07:20

Morning, weigh in done, 2.2lbs down which I am really pleased about after the period/birthday re gain. I have not strayed once and feel really good about this woe. My dd announced a couple of days ago 'mummy you haven't trumped all week' so thats got to be aother bonus.

BIWI · 18/05/2015 07:31

justonemorethread I've added you to the bottom of the spreadsheet

Hmm. I'm blue.

No loss! I started a week early and lost 4 lbs. I weighed myself on Wednesday and had lost a further 2 but this morning they had gone back on again Confused

This week I struggled on Weds as was in London all day and relying on ready made salads. I did have a wobble on Friday when a friend came round with a bottle of Prosecco.

Possible causes

  • too much milk (yoghurt for breakfast plus tea/coffee)
  • not drinking enough water
  • constipation
  • carbs creeping in somewhere else.

I'm feeling low because I've been resisting biscuits put in front of me all week ??

Suzymoo9 · 18/05/2015 07:36

Morning - it's good to be back on track. Not managed to keep up with the thread last week as my DH's father died and there is a lot to sort out. It's a real challenge to stick to this during a crisis but not been too bad. Knowing everyone is here is a real help somehow even though I don't post much and can't always read the lightning fast thread.
Good luck all this week. Thanks BIWI for another BCamp!

Fatstacks · 18/05/2015 07:41

Morning Campers Grin

Well done for twirling through the first week!

A small miracle for me this week 2lbs down (very very likely to be pre menstrual water loss and back next week but i will take it)

It's Chelsea flower show and I traditionally spend the week on the sofa eating snacks and awwing a lot but my holiday is just over a week away so I need to be snack free and a no carb zone!

Have a good un all Grin

Patapouf · 18/05/2015 07:42

4.4lbs down this week Grin and a total of 10.8 so far LCing.
Need to up my fat intake and also keep an eye on my water as I really haven't been getting enough of either.

SayraT · 18/05/2015 07:42

tutor don't feel blue, you've lost 4lbs in 2 weeks which is absolutely perfect. Your weight fluctuates daily (and hourly Smile) those 2lbs will come off. I weigh daily and record my lowest weight for the week, other people record the weight on weigh-in day or other daily weighers take the average. You could record your lowest weight if you wanted but be aware some weeks you might STS or put weight on, that's just what happens.

You say "too much milk" you shouldn't be having milk on BC, use double cream in tea/coffee. The yogurt is ok as long as it is FF and LC (Total or Lidl Greek are the best).

Well done Glen

Well done Dita

Thanks BIWI I was just about to say to Just that she was on the spreadsheet Smile You maybe fell off when the spreadsheet was restored Just did you check it after that?

I'm very pleased as I've lost 2lbs this week Smile and now I am having a lovely breakfast of bacon and eggs with a nice creamy coffee. Love the WOE Grin

Good luck everyone and remember don't be disheartened if you don't see a massive loss this week, not everyone will.

tutorproof · 18/05/2015 07:42

Sorry to hear that Suzymoo

readyforno2 · 18/05/2015 07:43

145.2 so 3.6lb down! Will pop on later properly and read the thread. KOKO everyone!

cathyandclaire · 18/05/2015 07:43

Sorry to hear about your FIL Suzy Flowers
Well done to the losers.
Tutor I struggle with cutting down on milk and dairy, I've been monitoring my intake and one day (pre BC of course :)) had 14g carbs in milk Blush and that wasn't having any lattes or anything like that!
3lb down here. The rest is going to be slower and harder I'm sure.
Well done all, thanks BIWI and Sayra

SayraT · 18/05/2015 07:44

Oops cross-posted well done to fatstacks and patapouf too Grin

Sorry to hear about you FIL Suzy well done for sticking to it, it will be hard Flowers

lisbapalea · 18/05/2015 07:50

Wow, another 4lb down according to first go on scales! Second time I went on (because I didn't believe it), it looked like 3lb so I will go for that when I update the spreadsheet later.

Really amazed, and delighted!

Dumdedumdedum · 18/05/2015 07:54

Morning all, well done to those who have lost after their first week! (I gained 0.25lbs, despite being religiously low carb. Reckon I ate too much!)
I'm going to note down what I eat here every day this week:

B: 2 eggs, scrambled with double cream in butter (added dried chives and chilli); 2 rashers of back bacon with fat on; one slice of Oopsie rolls "bread".
L: Steak au poivre a la IPD; either Swiss chard or spinach in butter and double cream.
D: Tarragon chicken, also IPD; courgette spaghetti in butter.

Water: Drunk a litre so far this morning, aiming for at least 3litres, hopefully more as per the spreadsheet chart.
Hard boiled eggs and home made mayo on standby as snacks, only to be eaten after I've drunk loads of water and still feel hungry.

People who know, could you tell me if this looks OK or not, please. Thank you.

Tetley650 · 18/05/2015 08:15

Ok, now weigh 175 but at least it is down from the all time high in the week. I'm going to have to stay off cream/cheese for the duration and invest that money into coyo. Would somebody very kindly add my 7lb gain to the spreadsheet? Here's to a kinder 2nd week- body trust me it's really good this new life - no more yoyoing and lovely things to eat!

ewanhoozami · 18/05/2015 08:19

4lb off Grin

blessedenough · 18/05/2015 08:19

Condolences Suzy for your FIL.

I have lost 4lbs this week, its retention as it was totm the other week but hey i will take it!

Less than a stone until my wedding weight - which was just over 4 yrs ago.

Have a great week everyone !!

AuntieMaggie · 18/05/2015 08:45

Morning :)

Just checking in. Still haven't managed to update the sheet but will do today. I have lost 7 lbs in the past week and 13lbs in the past month but because of my pcos I am very sensitive to carbs. If I can lose another 3 stone I'll be happy but another 4 would be amazing. But losing as much as possible before getting pregnant again is the goal.

I've still got the cough from hell and ds is also under the weather so today is going to be another challenging day.

I made this the other night but gave dp and ds the potatoes and I just had the chicken and chorizo with some salad. It was yummy and I'm going to experiment with different combinations as it's so easy and great for leftovers.

Does anyone have a recipe to liven up pork chops? I thought possibly a creamy mushroom sauce? Also ds loves my cheese sauce but it has flour in it - anyone have an alternate recipe?

plumstone · 18/05/2015 08:47

Stayed the same this week - which is fine as long as I don't put on, Very focused this week, spent yesterday planing and shopping so it will be a good week!!!

Today will Be:
B - FF Greek Yogurt
L - Ham and philly rolls, raddishes, cherry toms, and cucumber and pork stuffing balls
D - Left over salmon and creamy leeks from last night!
W - 3 litres (one morning, one afternoon, one evening) + 2 coffees and herbal teas

Have a great day everyone!!! xoxo

CrabbyTheCrabster · 18/05/2015 08:51

1lb off for me (well actually it was a lb off on Friday, but have put .2 back on over the weekend - that'll be the wine Hmm). 4lb off since I started low carbing again on 27th April though, so it's coming off slowly steadily. I've been going to the gym, too, so I'm telling myself that I'm converting fat to muscle.

Sorry to hear about your FIL Suzy. Flowers

KOKO campers. Smile

CrabbyTheCrabster · 18/05/2015 08:53

Maggie I made a lovely cheese sauce recently using mascarpone as the base. Added mozzarella, a dash of double cream and some grated gruyere/cheddar, then poured it on top (of meatballs in tomato sauce) and sprinkled more grated cheese on top before putting in oven (you could grill it to get it golden and bubbling, too).

MrsKoala · 18/05/2015 08:57

Morning all. Sorry i haven't ben chatting with you but rl is pretty tough atm and i just don't have the time.

i do skim read and try to catch up every couple of days tho. Si i am with you all in spirit.

had a rate night out with dh last night so just posting on the train home. I wore a dvf bentley dress which, thanks to bc is a little loose on me now. But it looked very nice and dh kept commenting on how sexy i looked ;)

3lb loss this week so back to my end of last bc weight. Feeling good and looking pretty trim now but i am going to koko for maintenance and just because I enjoy it so much.

Mum has joined me on this bc and lost 5lb this week too. Which is good because perhaps she will shut up now asking me stupid qs and moaning that she isn't going to lose anything eating like this. BIWI you have my utmost respect, gratitude and sympathy for putting up with what i was like at the beginning of last bc. I now know only a fraction of what you endure. Flowers

ceres · 18/05/2015 08:59

Sorry to hear about your fil Suzy.

Auntmaggie - I made a cheese sauce by combining cream cheese, cream, mustard and lots of mature cheddar over a gentle heat. It was really nice and a proper cheese sauce consistency.

I am down 6lbs. Very happy with that although I know it is just first week water weight so will be much less next week. I am not feeling hungry at all, most days sticking to breakfast, lunch and dinner as not feeling the need to snack.

tutorproof · 18/05/2015 09:05

Actually I've filled in the spreadsheet and I've lost a pound!

Feel slightly perkier!

saranghae · 18/05/2015 09:11

Weighed myself 6 times this morning, can't believe I've lost 8lbs. Considering my complete disaster on wednesday, I don't understand it, must be water loss Smile.

Anyway going shopping tonight and plan this weeks meals. Hoping to fit in some excersise this week too and try the weights. Does anyone have a routine for the gym using the weights? I usaully go on the cross-trainer and treadmil.

Sorry to hear about your FIL Suzy Flowers

Hope you all have a good week!
