This is a thread following the legal and ethical questions raised by the recent court case involving Charlie Gard.

Please could we refrain from insulting or otherwise "bashing" his parents. It isn't in the spirit of Mumsnet and will get the threads removed.

Please could we also remember that at the heart of this case is a terminally ill baby and his heartbroken parents. There are those participating in and watching this thread for whom these issues are painful. Please let's try and be mindful of them when we post. This isn't a place for name calling or trivialising the very real pain they feel. Many parents of severely disabled children are on here.

I have been blocked for making what I thought was a sensible comment. Still censoring I see!

Wow! Lots of censoring of any criticisms of the Gards and their supporters. on here.
Other forums Absoloutly slating them and accusingg them of being complicit in the threats made to GOSH and their staff!

Someone mentioned GOSH putting security on the doors. On Thursday there was a guard on the door to the main hospital.

A cordon is not possible but GOSH security is good. There's a good active security team there 24/7 and guards at the front desk. Staff and volunteers have ID and doors are well secured.

Guards are always at the front desk. They are not always at the door actively checking.

Leghoul that will be why I haven't seen security before. We are usually at outpatients in the building next door. On Thursday I popped into the main building to get a drink and a Peter pan top for Eve. And spotted security outside the hospital then.
