I'd post pics but I'm too embarrassed and scared DM will steal.

I have MH issues and I get so overwhelmed. I'm always so tired. I grew up in filth and now I'm doing the same. I have too much stuff. Bin bags of dirty washing

My kitchen is foul. My bathroom too.

I'm so ashamed.
No get it done when I'm on a high in my bipolar cycle then I can't keep up with it and it gets gross again. Then I spiral because it stresses me out so much.

How do people manage to have nice clean houses

I'm such a failure

I used to live in such a mess before being pregnant and moving in with my partner I hired a clear out removal team as my place was so bad I just got people to remove everything and what was good went to chairty which helped me let go of stuff. i started to live minimalisticly.

What helped me was throwing everything away and having storage boxes furniture for everything I do own and having only things I like and in a place I've decorated and furnished so that when it is clean it looks really nice. An when it's clean I find other people make an effort. It still gets messy on the weekends bit as hard as it is you just got to do it before it mentally feels too much.

I find putting a music play list on that lasts an hour an deciding to clean till the play list is over helped me.

I have bi-polar also and know where u are coming from. Highs = house is shining lows = house is a kip. My therapist said to make a small manageable list each day first thing in the morning and tick it off. My list is simple. At the start my list was Have coffee ✅ wash coffee cup ✅ = 2 things on list done. Then it got longer as I felt I could cope. Also if you make ur bed every morning, it makes you feel so much better going to bed at night seeing a made bed. Slow and simple tasks and broken down into mini tasks help me. If I see on my list clean sitting room, I just walk away but if I have on my list fix cushions on sofa, fix rug, move cups from sitting room I can do that.... Small tiny steps.
