What truly gorgeous things have you bought for your house recently?

Half way through a long, messy renovation and feeling a bit disheartened.

What gorgeous things could I use to decorate/kit out my newly improved home when it's finished - approx a million weeks from now?

I ended up buying an identical one from eBay at half the price. I'm half way through sorting my Jewellery out.
I've given my dil my other white cheval mirror. She was thrilled with that.

We ate supper off our new Asda plates last night.

Who'd have thought I was such a copycat lol

I bought a table and chairs from Wayfair and it wasn't cheap! But 3 out of 4 chairs were wonky and they tried to pin the blame on me despite them being welded together that way at the factory - so impossible to adjust!

After 3 days as they needed to "verify" my claims they agreed to a refund rather than replacement. They sent an email to liaise with courier and the link and courier website never worked nor could I speak to anyone.

The courier turned up 4 days in a row as they had absolutely no clue. It was a nightmare and I wouldn't put myself through it again!

I've bought some lovely herbs today. Already had the old favourites but added camomile, feverfew, rue, sorrel, lemon verbena, different variety of lavender, borage, catnip etc.

Frith Do you have a herb garden or do you keep them in pots? I'm wondering if I can make a little herb garden using some old drawers I have. Drill holes, paint them and take the handles off...

Oooh, or a mini wildflower patch?

Does anyone know anything about gardening? Would wildflowers be happy in a wide wooden drawer? (Outside obviously )

EnidButton - wild flowers need an un disturbed plot, perhaps at the end of a lawn.

Tiny garden so some in pots, some in flower beds.

Do have a big allotment, luckily!

Drawers would be fine for herbs, though the wood would rot after a couple of years.

TK Maxx was a desert of frills and crystal. May just have time to go to the antiques place before school pickup!

We bought three new bathrooms and a downstairs loo plus basin today. Never thought I'd be this excited about sanitaryware

Having killed every houseplant that I tried in the bathroom - I've bought this faux house plant from Cox and Cox.

I covet this cushion from Oka for the spare bedroom but...far too expensive to justify!

Just ordered this ceiling light for our new dining room and two of the wall lights for the hallway that leads up to it.

Any ideas anyone how I can utilise that black space , top right in my Jewellery cabinet.
I have some lovely semi precious stone and silver pendants that aren't on chains.
How can I pin them up so I can see them.
They wouldn't sit on a straight pin.
