Holidays
Where is everyone going on holiday this year?
whattodo2019 · 10/06/2022 01:09
We haven't been away for years but tonight we booked to go to Kalkan, Turkey. I an soooo excited!
Ragwort · 10/06/2022 01:24
I've had a few holidays in Kalkan .. I love it there. Where are you staying?
But the thought of airport delays etc has really put me off flying for a few years so I will be holidaying in this country for the foreseeable future ... maybe back to the Lake District, have been twice this year and really enjoyed it.

To the petrol station. Seven hours of selling my life will fill the car up. Then I can choose between having electricity, or a gas canister for cooking. ☄️

we are staying on a villa with a pool just up the hill from the old town.
Any top tips?

Sounds lovely, the town is quite steep so take decent shoes! Wonderful boat trips from the harbour.

I have been to lake Windermere and Bowness many years ago and remember buying fish and chips and sitting eating them on a bench over looking the lake in the rain.
Great memories x

Andalusia, we always go to the same area, but different accommodation, we got into this habit when DH was working away Monday to Thursday and when he wasn't it was City hours out at 6.00 back by 7.00. We love it, because as soon as you are off the plane you are "home" and relax so much faster.
DH retires four weeks after we come back from holidays, so this year will feel even more relaxed.

We were in Bali in April, US in May and we are going back to Bali for a month July/August. Staying in our home country next week we are going to a Gold Coast resort which will be interesting as we don’t really do resort holidays. Only myself and DH though which is very different to when we travelled as a family of five. We are making up for the past couple of years!
FHmama · 10/06/2022 08:13
Been to Antalya, Turkey in April and Milan + Lake Como in May which was amazing. Going to Varna, Bulgaria in July to meet my boyfriend's family for the first time and then going to Sorrento/Amalfi Coast in September which I am very excited for
GrazingSheep · 10/06/2022 08:14
South of France In September for 3 weeks. And a weekend away once a month before then.
Parky04 · 10/06/2022 08:17

South of France (for less than Cornwall cost last year!). Very very happy to be heading back to France!
JudgeRindersMinder · 10/06/2022 08:34
Already been to Tenerife and have Portugal, Spain and another Tenerife booked (it’s usually just 2, this year is an anomaly!)

Scotland, Anglesey and Malaga.
Hopefully the airport will be OK for the Malaga trip, which isn't until October.
MaisyMary77 · 10/06/2022 08:44
Am in Crete right now. Enjoying the sun and cocktails. 😎
ImplementingTheDennisSystem · 10/06/2022 08:45
@DelurkingAJ can I ask how you 'do' South of France please? I've never been and want to next year, but France is so big and spread out, I don't know where to start!
Do you fly? Hire a car? What accommodation do you stay in?
