Been to Greece with dh, dd and her boyfriend Went to Dublin and Belfast in April, with dh and not long back from a weekend in Wales.
we also had a weekend our camper in Dorset.

Still to come, Warsaw, Gran Canaria, nice with a friend and Budapest with dh and as many weekends we can fit in away in our camper weather permitting!
Also looking for a little solo break for 2-3 days. I do this every year. Probably do a Eurostar trip in December to Bruges as well.

@Ohbuggeritsme thanks, can't wait. Any attractions you recommend? Going with 3 children aged 8 to 14 years old.

I consider myself very lucky: already had a week camping in Cornwall, and have two more holidays to look forward to. Another camping trip in Devon, and 10 days in northern Italy (near Venice). The camping trips are pretty standard for us, but the Italy holiday has been two years of saving up so I'm very excited.

CountTheStars · 11/06/2022 20:14

Just come back from a week n the Lake District, then two weeks planned at the beginning of August to northern France. Lovely expansive beaches, beautiful countryside where we are & hoping for good weather.

Went to the USA at Easter (Boston) and just booked to go to Dubai in October, so excited! Not sure about the summer as we're moving house so can't book anything yet and also time off from work is problematic, but hopefully we can do a mini break to Disneyland or Alton Towers.

Off to Scotland for a few days at end of June for Son's (delayed ) graduation....spending a couple of nights at Gleneagles with the family to celebrate, with a meal at Andrew Fairlie ( it's also belated 60th birthday celebrations for dh)
Then dh and I are off to The Maldives in September...(also delayed from 2020) ....however it's our 35th wedding anniversary while we're out there and we're flying business class with Qatar....I'm beyond excited!

Ohthatsexciting · 12/06/2022 06:34

Majorca - if the flights are ok by then which I’m guessing they won’t be. 😢. Also hoping Spain lower their covid requirements as don’t want the stress of taking tests and getting boosters )if we’re allowed them!)

I went to Spain few weeks ago was so straightforward if vaccinated

Ohthatsexciting · 12/06/2022 06:37

What I’m particularly loving is how much my children are enjoying.

a lot to make up for so we will be travelling quite a bit for next few years hopefully

FindingMeno · 12/06/2022 06:38

Hope you have a fantastic time!
No holiday here, but I'm determined to have a long overdue day trip to see the sea!

Why are so interested ? Or have you just come on to boast about booking a holiday ??

What a peculiar way to view holiday chat

whoruntheworldgirls · 10/06/2022 09:15

Majorca, near Cala D'Or in August
Already had 2 weeks in the Canaries at Easter.

Where are you staying? Looking to book for next year but don’t know where to start!

DH has had all leave turned down so I'm taking the children camping in Devon for a week and we're trying to get away as a family to Alnwick for a bank holiday weekend but his work won't confirm whether or not he's definitely off for the bank holiday.

What, for the entire summer?

Ohthatsexciting · 12/06/2022 06:52

ShowOfHands · 11/06/2022 15:11

@IncessantNameChanger we asked 12 months in advance, the second leave was released. Flat no immediately. We only wanted a week camping in Devon. His job can be v cross making.

That is unacceptable. A year in advance and refused. Is this teaching? Some explanation for inflexibility

TrufflyPig · 12/06/2022 07:03

Hopefully Italy but the Easyjet situation has me very anxious. Tempted to book eurostar as an emergency back up!

Heart78 · 12/06/2022 07:06

@BeanCounterBabe Tell me about Efteling please!! We are planning to go there in the summer. Any tips??

maddiemookins16mum · 12/06/2022 07:07

Majorca, 11 nights from the third week in September. Can’t wait.

ILoveAnOwl · 12/06/2022 07:09

Mainland spain in the summer and then Gran Caneria in October half term.
Hoping to fit my first solo camping trip in over the summer also. Probably Cornwall but might do Devon for variation!

Sorry that was for @maddiemookins16mum

FirstFormAtMalloryTowers · 12/06/2022 07:13

May - few days in London.
July - family weekend in Oxfordshire (6 adult kids plus all the grandchildren)
July - weekend in Berlin
August - 3 weeks on a US road trip / beach / cities and camping

Louise0701 · 12/06/2022 07:42

@Ohthatsexciting if you want Majorca, stay in Cala dor. Absolutely beautiful. The marina has so many restaurants and you can charter boats for a day / couple of days which is fantastic. My DC love it.
We usually have a week in Cala dor at some point during the year and spend a couple of days on a boat. Some have chefs which is the ultimate holiday for me.

Sounds lovely and we haven't done Majorca before. Great flight time - what is the transfer time from airport?

Louise0701 · 12/06/2022 07:47

@usernamechangedup about 45 mins in a taxi. We never bother with a transfer as they can cover the whole island so you can end up on a coach for a couple of hours. Taxi around €80.

I can’t remember the name of the beach that does it now, but they do fresh fish and a drink for about €10 and it’s delicious. It’s the one further down from the Cala dor one. Word of warning for the little Cala dor beach down from the restaurants; jellyfish! DD took great delight in catching one in her bucket last summer. If you have good swimmers, they can jump off the rocks there into the sea too which DD loved. Sea nice and shallow for a good distance for non swimmers / younger children too.

Lindos in Rhodes. I'm so excited, it feels like forever since we've been abroad!
