Been to Disneyland Paris already and heading to Crete in August.

Workyticket · 11/06/2022 13:08

Side in Turkey for 3 weeks in July. We've stayed at the hotel before and can't wait!

FunnysInLaJardin · 11/06/2022 13:12

we've just got back from a holiday in Sark and are going to southern Spain in October.

Our first proper holidays since 2019, just like lots of others.

We may have a trip to northern France in the summer if funds permit

PermanentTemporary · 11/06/2022 13:12

I'm going to a wedding in Northern Portugal, an ex colleague. Very excited, I've asked her a few things about Portuguese wedding customs and she just tells me to relax, though she did say it's much less common to wear hats. Though the last UK wedding I went to there was only 1 hat there too.

Why are so interested ? Or have you just come on to boast about booking a holiday ??

Mirrorball2022 · 11/06/2022 13:23

Just been on a U.K. city break for a week, we have The lakes for a few days in July and hopefully a break to Copenhagen in September. Watching the airport/flight situation atm. Feel lucky to get this all in this year. Not sure finances will allow 3 breaks next year

Sark in the Channel Islands? I have always fancied the Channel Islands

Climbingthelaundrymountain · 11/06/2022 13:25

We went to the cotswolds at half term and going to Suffolk in the summer. That's it for us this year.

2pinkginsplease · 11/06/2022 13:27

We have holidayed in Britain over the last 16 years, caravans mainly. However we had booked to go on one last family abroad then covid hit so this year we are having that holiday as we have kids in their late teens and early 20’s, so this is probably their last holiday with us. We are going to Majorca.

Going to Scotland on Monday for a week, then down to England for 5 weeks (I live abroad, haven't been back to the UK in 4 years, and about 17 or 18 years since I last went to Scotland so cannot wait) with two weeks by the seaside in Suffolk, and the rest at my parents, with the delightful view of a prison.

weekendninja · 11/06/2022 13:28

Island hopping in Croatia, just myself and my DC.

A week in Symi, just me and DP.

Plus camping weekends in Wales and Cornwall.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 11/06/2022 13:28

Dublin, Leitrim and Brittany. Luckily I don't like hot weather anyway!

Whereabouts in Scotland are you going. We have just spent a lovely week just over the border in Coldstream. Beautiful part of the country.

MrsMigginsCat · 11/06/2022 13:32

Australia for nearly a month in October. Just me and DH for a once in a lifetime trip. We are already ridiculously excited! In the interim, a few weekends away in the campervan this summer.

AWobABobBob · 11/06/2022 13:33

Well we went to Aspen for skiing in the Spring. This month we go to St Tropez and Monaco, staying on our yacht that is moored up in the harbour. Then we are going backpacking through Bali, to really find ourselves. And then for Winter Sun we had to really slum it this year and go to Bora Bora.

Sorry I'm bullshitting! Some of the not so subtle boasts of these posts have me dying!

Went to Canaries 2 weeks ago - no problems at all with airport - thanks Jet 2 !

Hoping to book Lakes for long weekend early August

Weekend in Scotland September!

Oh I'm gad to hear this. We're flying to Spain with jet 2 in July and was getting a bit worried.

Loch Lomond, beautiful place. Shall be visiting Glasgow too for sure and planning a day trip to Edinburgh just me and DD (and leave much younger DS with my parents so we can have a less stressful day trip!)

Flatandhappy · 11/06/2022 13:58

@Hillyview2 The Golden Palace is cool, a boat trip along the river was popular with our kids, floating markets are interesting, I am embarrassed to admit it but when we took them to the backpacker haven that is the Kho San Road because DH and I wanted to revisit our youth they loved it, Bangkok is pretty full on so it was a bit of a breather.

Azerothi · 11/06/2022 14:04

Shetland in July, and then Orkney later on in the year for Samhain.

PatientlyWaiting21 · 11/06/2022 14:07

Spain. I’ve not been since I was a child, first family holiday

motogirl · 11/06/2022 14:12

Been to New York (booked 2020), going on a European road trip in early autumn (transferred from 2021). Got a handful of weekends (U.K.) too, some paid for 2 years+ ago. Seems a lot but it's not all out of this year's income

TeenTraumaTrials · 11/06/2022 14:17

Orlando next month for our 3 time postponed hol of a lifetime originally planned for Easter 2020. Was delighted to see US dropping the requirement for a negative test from tomorrow as i was so worried we'd end up having to cancel at the 11th hour. Now all we have to worry about is Manchester airport.

midsomermurderess · 11/06/2022 14:30

On begrudgery, there seem to be a cohort, swooping in on holiday and style and beauty threads, finger pointing and sucking lemons. Well, feck the begrudgers.
I’m just back from a lovely week on Lake Garda, and in September, 2 weeks in Skopelos.

lollipoprainbow · 11/06/2022 14:32

@midsomermurderess adore skopelos !!

midsomermurderess · 11/06/2022 14:36

Skopelos is lovely isn’t it, so green and rugged and great swimming.
