Go(ji) Berry Go(ji) Berry Go, Don't Upset The Raisins - 10/10 Club - Show Me Show Me Your Fruity Moves!!!!

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg
here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

the jury are still out as to exactly how many portions an innocent smoothie contains and i think the general consensus was that humzingers don't count but otherwise...come one come all!!!

oh ffs, how did 10/10 contributeto my problems?

Right, I am not actually here.

CoupleofKooks · 20/03/2010 09:13

well toot, you were spending huge amounts of your time on a thread where we listed everything we ate, and the aim was to talk about exercise and healthy eating
you said yourself that the thread was a lifeline for you and that the people on it were your best friends
then you developed an eating disorder and became obsessed with healthy eating, weight loss and exercise
it's not the furthest leap to think there may have been a connection - i am not saying it caused it - but i really really don't think it helped
and if i had had more balls i would have said and in fact done something about it earlier - i feel quite guilty about that
i did try to say a few times but tbh was scared of a backlash - however here is the backlash now!

people are angry with me because i have upset you - i am only going to say this one more time and then i really intend to leave it (and you) in peace
if you think it is kind to let a person who has recently had a serious eating disorder hang out on a diet thread, then you have a different idea of how to be kind than me

now i need to go and talk about my own health issues and i am going to do it on the diet thread and try not to fuck this one up any more
it would be nice to talk to all of you again some time in different circumstances
hope you are all doing well

SuperBunny · 21/03/2010 07:35

Can we just stop this now, please? This was a nice thread and it's sad (for me, at least) that people are upset and have disappeared or moved elsewhere. Whatever the reason, I don't understand all this 'you can't post here' business. It's a public forum and we are all grown ups and should be able to decide for ourselves where to post. I feel quite uncomfortable with people being told who can say what and where. It's happened before and it's not pleasant for anyone.

I will bow out now.

CoupleofKooks · 21/03/2010 08:35

that's fine, bunny, i've agreed i'll shut up about it now, and i will

TigerFeet · 21/03/2010 09:12

I just wanted to add my thoughts and then I to shall shut up.

The fact that TooT is upset isnt my main gripe about the diet thread, although of course I am upset that she is upset. I find it sad that this thread has slowed down so much and that so many of the old names disappeared. Then, all of a sudden, a new thread appears that looks and reads exactly like a bog standard 10/10 thread, only it's not. Many veggers came back to it. Then we are told that it's for dieters only.

I am not on a diet, although I need to be, far more than any of the rest of you. I am not in the right frame of mind for it at the moment, unfortunately for me. So I will pop in and say hi, and leave you to it.

At the end of the day 10/10 is your baby Franny and any of us is free to start as many threads as we want to. I just think it's a real shame that we are now split into dieters and non dieters and that we can't all muddle along together.

And I also think that TooT is responsible for TooT and should be able to post wherever she likes.

As you were.

TigerFeet · 21/03/2010 09:18

So

DD2 is 6 months old today

She is enormous and squashy and smiley

Her best friend is dd1

It's lovely

Boco · 21/03/2010 11:21

Can we see a picture Tiger?

I'm not really sure what to make of all the other stuff, dont' really care where i post but last tiem i posted on this thread there was no reply for about 3 days so i just thought it had fizzled out. Glad to see everyone still around though.

littlerach · 21/03/2010 16:39

Well I forgot this htread was still going, I htought everyone had gone to the other one.

TooT, stay posting on this one, or I'll call you hun
Maybe those that are properly dieting/watching calories kinda thing could still pop to thtis thread to chat about F&V and stuff?

Tiger, is she really 6 months old? that has gone v quicxkly.

We have been lambing. As it were. we saw some teeny lambs and soem little cows and piggies.
But then they were selling sausages and burgers in the next field and it felt rather wrong.
Dds and their friends loved the tractor rides best - typical.
Oh, and the miniature train broke when they were on it!

Museli
banana

SuperBunny · 21/03/2010 17:05

Ooo Tiger, that's so lovely. I often feel a bit sad that DS has no sibling to be friends with. I love hearing sibling stories.

Lambing sounds good. I used to work on a farm during lambing and it was fab.

Been to the forest today and got stalked and trapped by a herd of ponies and then DS got his boot stuck in the mud but didn't realise so carried on walking and ended up rather muddy. He cried and I giggled [crap mother]

Juice
green salad
peas
I might have a satsuma.

EllieMental · 21/03/2010 21:28

hello lovelies, I am trying to help dh stop drinking quite so much so am trying to wean self off MN for a bit, so as not to ignore him when he is pacing.

x

TigerFeet · 23/03/2010 08:17

Good luck Ellie, must be a hard thing to watch but so worth it in the end

I will sort out some pics later if I get chance, I need to take one of them together, I don't have a particularly recent one

porridge with raspberries & blueberries
will have some oj on return from school run

today is baby music - lots of dancing with and throwing around of heavy baby, gotta be worth some exercise points surely?

bunny I laugh at dd1's misfortunes all the time, from behind a well placed hand of course

SuperBunny · 23/03/2010 19:03

Hope you enjoyed baby music, Tiger. I miss those days.

Where's Toot gone? Is it just the 3 of us left here?

I shall list:
Sherry
Tea
Chocolates
Very Bad Day at work.

ThePinkOne · 23/03/2010 20:57

5k (in a little over half an hour) and 1hour 20 of yoga last night.

And I had a very virtuous dinner. Veg curry. Baby corn, mange tout, mushrooms, b/n squash, sweet potato, onion, carrot. Oh and can I count the coconut milk? And I even had brown rice with it!

Did you go for a different job a while ago Bunny?

Can't believe how old your baby is Tiger. That can't be right cause mine is still a tiny wee baby thing [denial] We'll have

ThePinkOne · 23/03/2010 20:58

Gah. Don't know what happened there! We'll have to meet up again soon Tiger!

SuperBunny · 23/03/2010 21:01

I did the application form and then decided against applying, Pink. It wasn't really what I wanted to do in the end although after today, I'd do anything other than my current job.

Well done on all that exercise. Am very impressed and rather envious.

littlerach · 24/03/2010 16:59

Hello

TigerFeet · 24/03/2010 18:01

SuperBunny · 24/03/2010 18:51

Hope you feel better Tiger. Hello LR.

Bad day was just a bad day - lots paperwork issues, behaviour probs and general difficulties. It's the paperwork that pushes me over the edge. Today I've had trousers and shoes thrown at me but am still smiling.
