For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am not convinced about these onion rings. I think they snuck in when my back was turned.

Morning veggers and a happy new week to you. I am eating pineapple, grapes, banana and raisins. Woohoo.

BBee - I woke up thinking about this morning. Isn't that strange? I was thinking about your holding the pudgy hand and your course and things. And I thought how right it was that you are doing what you're doing, and how difficult it might be in the short-term, and how difficult it is to justify your absence when you've been present, but how important it is to stake your place in the world, and do the course and carve out some time and a future for yourself.

Just thought I'd tell you that. And all the time I was thinking about you these fireworks were going off in Sri Lanka on the radio, and it was nice and celebratory.

I haven't eaten anything yet. I am going to greengrocers later.

gizmo · 03/12/2007 11:18

Hello. I have missed you all while I have been working/meeting-up/being horribly sick.

I am not really in a condition to eat anything this morning but I have a virtual salad in front of me that includes tomatoes, peppers and goats cheese.

Franny, is your bump growing well?

MrsCarrot · 03/12/2007 11:26

Your virtual salad sounds nice, Gizmo. I miss feta cheese.

100x - that was a very nice post for BBBee. I have been having extremely odd dreams atm, very vivid, and odd. You are doing well at just opping in. I seem to be on and off nattering all day now. I must copy you and get on with things again. This could go on and on couldn't it.

PSW - I do have that chocolate in a few local shops and Rainbows wholefoods in town definitely has some. I could send it if yur sister can't find any.

I havinf blackcurrant and acerola cherry smoothie and celery, carrots and cucumber with lemon/coriander houmous and leftover chicken. I am also making soup and putting brandy on my christmas cake. It smells lovely.

gizmo · 03/12/2007 11:40

Mrs Carrot

I am uninformed - why do you miss feta cheese?

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 11:52

ooooh I am so happy

gizmo · 03/12/2007 11:53

Dancing Matt?

Was that the worldwide dancing guy on Youtube? Is he sending you postcards, Franny?

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 12:48

yy that is him, I have a crush on him

I really can't tell as he has asked me to keep it a secret (and god knows it sounds much more exciting that way )

but he is a darling

lullabyloo · 03/12/2007 12:51
Hmm
TootTheAbsoluteLoon · 03/12/2007 13:03

What doers yy mean? It confuses me when people use code.

TootTheAbsoluteLoon · 03/12/2007 13:04

Doers is obviously my own personal code.

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 14:22

erm, yy = yes yes. Kind of a breathless yes yes

Lully is that an unimpressed ? Don't be unimpressed, this is very exciting for me and you could at least pretend that it is for you as well

Oh I have eaten beans and made blackberry and apple crumble.

OP posts:
gizmo · 03/12/2007 14:24

Franny, I don't wish to drizzle on your parade, but you didn't conceive this crush around day 14 of your cycle, did you?

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 14:31

erm

I am pleading the fifth on that one

I have been trying to get him to come on here, he would make a fab 10 / 10 er

but Boco said he had lady's knees and danced like an auntie, and I am sure he read it

OP posts:
Boco · 03/12/2007 14:36

The Auntie-at-a-wedding-with-the-feminine-knees?
What did he send you? why can't you tell? Tell me, he wouldn't mind, he'd like me, he'd want me to know! Why is he sending you things? Is he going to dance to deep forest in your town?

I had to look after my friends 7 month old today and it was really scary because he wouldn't be put down and he wasnt' impressed at all with anything and i'm quite glad we're past that stage as it's puzzling. But he is very sweet and it was kind of fun, almost.

dps parents have bought the dds bunk beds for christmas and they've arrived, in a smashed up box with very probably bits missing. dd2 has made the mattresses adn boxes into a den and hasn't come out for an hour. She says her name is Rodderney, and she does writing. She's written pages and pages of squiggles and says its a book. By Rodderney.

gizmo · 03/12/2007 14:37

He struck me as very energetic and imaginative. Good things in a crush I suppose?

He could have had Auntie's knees and danced like a lady, I suppose.

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 14:41

I truly can't tell but it is all above board and dp knows. Dp also hearts him now so we could have a threesome. Around day 14 of my cycle. With Deep Forest playing.

gizmo · 03/12/2007 14:42

Hello Boco

The bunk bed thing is a confidence game, as much as anything. I bought DS1 a cabin bed from ebay last year and even though I know all the screws etc were there, I'm convinced that the crucial 'Jesus nut' is missing and we will only discover its absence when DS1, DH and I all pile on the bed one evening for a big story telling session.

I love the sound of your DD2 being Rodderney. Does this make DD1 Delboy?

Boco · 03/12/2007 14:48

Oh i hope they're all there Gizmo, because we're getting rid of their other beds this afternoon. the end of the box is actually missing. I asked Argos delivery men where the end of the box was and he shrugged and said, 'if it's not all there, you have 30 days to sort it out'. Yes, but dds have to sleep in it tonight.

Yuck to deep forest threesome with auntie thighs. He'd certainly be a very chipper lover, grinning enthusiastically throughout. which i suppose is freakynice.

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 14:50

oh I don't know Boco I think enthusiastic grinning is much underrated...

Anyway. Have you got mattresses? If all else fails they can sleep on mattresses on the floor and I bet they would love it

OP posts:
Boco · 03/12/2007 14:54

Yes, luckily it did come with mattresses, which are currently in a tent shape and being used as Rodderney's place of work. She just asked if Rodderney could please have a sandwich made of paper.

gizmo · 03/12/2007 14:56

Ah yes, two mattresses together in a den made of boxes.

Even more fun than a bunk bed, although less durable.

Boco · 03/12/2007 15:00

Hmm, yes, less durable, and it does keep collapsing everytime I try to squeeze past.
