For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello all
Feeling a bit strange today, wasn't going to post but hey ho.

Am being referred to Brest surgeon to check lump found...weird thing is I went as I thought I had another cyst in right breast. GP said no cyst or probs in right breast but found a lump in left.

I know it's procedure to be referred, and GP said it didn't seem sinister...but have still got anxious and upset today
He asked me my age and asked a couple of times if breast cancer is in my family (thank God no) just shook me a bit.
Sorry...am going on. Sorry if not appropriate topost here.

Will be nothing I'm sure

Boco · 03/12/2007 19:22

Poor you, what a horrible thing, i'm not surprised you're anxious. I'm sure it will be fine, lumps are quite common, i've had two friends go through this and both turned out to be nothing serious, but it's still ok to feel worried and to come here and let off steam or rant whenever you feel like it - it might help?

FrannyandZooey · 03/12/2007 19:25

Of course appropriate to post here Bob. So sorry to hear this and of course we understand why you are feeling worried. It sounds like an ordinary sort of lump doesn't it? But nerve racking until you hear for sure. What happens now, how long do you wait?

TooTickyDoves · 03/12/2007 19:26

Blimey, feel free to post here. Takes the edge off the anxiety. I remember when I was worried about something and couldn't tell anybody - it just snowballed in my mind. I'm sure you'll be fine

pinkspottywellies · 03/12/2007 19:27

At least they've picked up on it RobertSmith (Gibbon isn't it?). It's normal for you to feel panicked but at least they're going to sort out whatever it is now. You'll be fine.

TooTickyDoves · 03/12/2007 19:27

Lionheart, have checked emails more than once - dp must have deleted. Do you want to start this time?

RobertSmithStoleMyLipstick · 03/12/2007 19:28

Thanks Boco

I'm mainly feeling it's fine...it's just a friend was not much older than me and we were all so shocked. I think that's what is niggling me...but she is fine now

Like you say it's just good to be able to voice concern here.

Thank you

RobertSmithStoleMyLipstick · 03/12/2007 19:29

Yes it's gibbon

Thanks chaps x

pinkspottywellies · 03/12/2007 19:30

TooT I don't think I've got your email - do you want a game of Scrabble?

TooTickyDoves · 03/12/2007 19:30

I have eaten too much dinner and feel horribly bloated. Also have sinussy headache but it feels a bit like dehydration so I am drinking far too much, which doesn't help. I have made a chocolate pudding but can't face it.

TooTickyDoves · 03/12/2007 19:31
