For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Welcome starlight. My top tips are bumping up the portions with a glass of juice and some dried fruit at breakfast.

FrayedKnot · 03/12/2007 20:02

Hello Starlight, welcome. Don;t mind the funny smell, it's just eau de sprout an incense stick we've got burning.

Bob, I'm sorry to hear you are going through such a worrying time. Do you know when your appointment is yet?

Hello starlight! I second what Pink said, you can cram 5 or more in at breakfast with a little effort and then the rest is plain sailing

I reckon I might have had 10 today Avi:
pineapple, banana, raisins, grapes, beans, avocado, blackberry and apple (in crumble MMM), 2 or 3 satsumas,

oh ok I haven't

8?

Hello Starlight - if you're managing 5/10 you'll be doing better than me!

Am slacking, and as soon as my appetite returns will sate it with vegetables.

Lully, I hope your ex puts you out of your misery soon re cushion. Maybe he's just not very good at thank yous?

Boco - how did bedtime go? Are the dds stacked up safe and sound?

Anyway...Franny, I have now rewatched Matt and have some questions. He travels a lot, doesn't he? Gets followed by swarms of giggling children wherever he goes?

Have you ever considered that in fact you are harbouring a notsosecret crush on Father Christmas?

(BTW, I like the way he throws in a nifty little side step in Guam - what's so special about Guam, I ask myself?)

TooTickyDoves · 03/12/2007 20:25

Nice Q Avi
(I'd already clicked, I wasn't being sneaky).

Oh thanks for that Pink how flattering - did you really say that, or did you say that in real life i was a bit vague. That's what i would have said about me I think.

Gizmo dds are still rampaging and the bunk beds are very very far from completion. I've put them to be in my bed, but they're too excited and are giggling and daring each other to peak at dp who is swearing and staring at odd bits of wood in total confusionl. My brother is here and we're pretending to ignore it all as any offers of help are just receiving grunts of annoyance and 'i can do it!'.

TooTickyDoves · 03/12/2007 20:27

Actually, I tried to do a word but it wouldn't let me. That's when I realised....
....and the email hasn't arrived yet.

If it's not quick I will have to take my dcs and my headache to bed.
