Would you go to A and E with this? (picture included)

DH was weeing red yesterday and this is his wee this morning. He has a cold and has been taking lemsip. He's definitely had a temperature although no thermometer to check. Would this warrant a and e given the day/date? Thanks

Without a doubt. Why didn't he get help yesterday when he was weeing red?! That's not a cold symptom.

Has he been eating lots of beetroot? How's his general health? Remember t'internet is not best place for medical advice as anyone can say anything!

He doesn't like a fuss. I'm loathe to call 111 as previously we've been on the phone for hours and then been sent up anyway and wasted lots of time (that was me when I had sepsis) so not interested in taking chances. Thanks we are on the way up

He's eaten and drank the exact same as usual except for the Lemsips. He's normally well but suffers with ibs awfully so has a quite restricted diet

Has he had beetroot juice?
If not, then I would suggest he gets checked out as that's not a normal colour for pee

Weeping red is not normal at all. I suspect 111 would send you anyway.

If he reads the leaflet that comes with Lemsip he'll see a clear warning in there that he should stop taking it and seek medical advice if he has any signs of liver problems, such as dark brown urine.
